Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas9
Jun 8, 2026
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an outstanding open-world game that offers an unmatched sense of freedom and variety. From gang wars and heists to gambling, customizing CJ, and simply exploring the massive map, the game constantly gives players something new to do. Its mission design and gameplay systems remain remarkably engaging even by today's standards. The world itself is the game's greatest achievement. Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas each have their own unique identity, making the journey across San Andreas feel like a true adventure. Combined with an incredible soundtrack and memorable supporting cast, the game creates one of the most immersive open worlds ever made. While the main story and CJ himself may not reach the absolute heights of the very best narrative-driven games, they are more than strong enough to support the experience. Excellent replay value and an enormous amount of side content make San Andreas a game that is easy to return to years after its release.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City6
Jun 8, 2026
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City stands out thanks to its unforgettable 1980s atmosphere, vibrant art direction, and one of the best licensed soundtracks in gaming. The neon-lit streets, iconic architecture, and overall aesthetic give the city a unique identity that still holds up today. The mission variety and overall gameplay remain enjoyable, although some mechanics feel dated by modern standards. While the story and cast are serviceable, they never fully connected with me, and aside from the strong finale, the narrative wasn't particularly memorable. Despite its excellent presentation and audio design, I didn't find much enjoyment in simply exploring the open world, and the game doesn't offer much replay value for my personal taste. I can appreciate its influence and style, but it isn't a title I would revisit or actively recommend unless someone is specifically interested in classic GTA games.

Mass Effect 27
Jun 8, 2026
Mass Effect 2 delivers an engaging sci-fi RPG experience thanks to its strong cast of characters, immersive world-building, and meaningful player choices. The game excels at making you feel like Commander Shepard, and the diverse squad abilities and class system add a satisfying layer of strategy to combat. The universe itself is one of the game's greatest strengths. Locations like Omega and Illium are memorable, and the rich lore encourages players to dive deeper into the setting. The final Suicide Mission is a satisfying payoff, even if some of the individual loyalty missions are less impactful. While the gameplay is solid, the shooting mechanics can feel somewhat average compared to dedicated action games. Facial animations have also aged poorly, and the soundtrack and voice acting, while serviceable, are not particularly memorable. Despite these shortcomings, the game's excellent replay value and branching choices make it easy to recommend to both RPG fans and newcomers to the series.

Half-Life 28
Jun 8, 2026
*Half-Life 2* remains one of the most impressive first-person shooters ever made. Its world-building and environmental storytelling make City 17 feel believable and immersive, and the game does an excellent job of making you feel like you truly are Gordon Freeman. The pacing is consistently engaging, mixing combat, puzzles, and vehicle sections without letting any one element overstay its welcome.>> The supporting cast is likable, especially Alyx, while the ending leaves a strong desire to continue the story. Although the enemy AI and physics no longer feel revolutionary by modern standards, they still hold up well and contribute to a polished gameplay experience. The soundtrack is memorable, if somewhat sparse, and the voice acting and sound design are excellent.>> My biggest criticism is that the constant enemy pressure and some of the darker, more intense levels reduce its replay value for me personally. Even so, *Half-Life 2* is a landmark FPS that I would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in the genre.
