How is there a combat system based on red attacks vs green attacks with no colorblind accessibility settings?? Straight up ignorance and/or laziness.

Mediocre. Writing and atmosphere are top notch, but this is a video game, so gameplay matters most. Sadly it's inconsistent, reliant on progression upgrades, and button mashy. I never loved Hades, but I liked it better when I was stuck inside during the pandemic with nothing better to do. Revisiting Hades on a fresh save file in 2025 has left such a bad taste in my mouth. Wake me up when Supergiant can develop gameplay on par with their story and setting.

Fun concept with extreme spikes of unfairness. The boss blinds need adjustment.

Can't rebind controls on console. Absolutely mind boggling that this is still a thing.

Into the Breach is too unforgiving and not as advertised. It's more **** based puzzle game than a strategy game, and these randomly generated puzzles can sometimes be impossible to solve without taking losses that may cripple your run later on. Combine this with the inability to save and reload your game during critical moments and it's just too much of a hostile experience for me.

Control is an atmospheric masterpiece. The setting and mood are top notch, with a combat system that is a joy to play. Some people criticize the combat for being too repetitive, but it's only as repetitive as you allow it to be. Use all the weapons at your disposal instead of spamming two overpowered tools over and over, and you'll have a great time. Someone please remind me to play this game after I go senile so I can experience it for the first time again.

Combat is satisfying, exploration is compelling, and the variety of builds and weapons you can utilize is incredible. A few minor things keep this from being a 10 for me, such as multiplayer and late game balance issues and a finite number of respecs and top level upgrade materials. But overall Elden Ring is a masterpiece worth spending hundreds of hours in.

The player can't remap the controls on console. For a game inspired by Dark Souls with a control scheme back assward from Dark Souls, this is mind boggling.
