A wonderful farewell for the PS4. Ghost of Tsushima has an interesting setting and story with a cool soundtrack. It`s like a better version of newer Assassin`s Creed games.
Final Fantasy XV has a special atmosphere. The open world parts are interesting and full of side quests. But these are a bit repetitive. Also the indoor levels get boring after some hours. But worth playing!
Haven´t watched the series and got Prison Break: The Conspiracy as a present. The game has nearly nothing to offer. Lazy gameplay, boring story and clunky controls destroy the interesting setting.
Battlefield 1 is one of the best modern multiplayer FPS games, that is still strong to this day. Besides, the single player campaign is one of the best, the Battlefield franchise can offer. A must play!
Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare had many new approaches. But it still stays a Call Of Duty game, even with this futuristic setting. Still the multiplayer is strong and the campaign as usual, is a short thrill.
XIII did so many things right when it came out. The Cel-Shading look makes this game timeless and the story thrills from the beginning to the end. Only the stealth sections are frustrating at times, but this is a gem!
I understand all the bad reviews for Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing all of my childhood classics on the current generation of consoles. Not much new content, partially ugly graphics and some songs of the classic games are missing. But the missions and style of the three games are undefeated. If you never played the first three 3D GTA games, you should! But play the oldschool versions!
As a big soccer fan and FIFA enthusiast since 2002, I was deeply disappointed about the 2018 installment. Nothing new, micro-transactions behind every corner - all in all a big cash grab. At least, the controls, graphics, soundtrack and overall feeling are still on point.
Call Of Duty: WWII is one of the last innovative and good COD games, after the franchise became a repetitive evergreen. While the multiplayer is strong as usual, the single player campaign is a bit short, but well written. But the most impressive aspect is the atmosphere. You dive deep into emotional WWII moments and experience rotatory slow and fast scenes. A good historical FPS!
Oh Bloodborne, you hurt me as much as you entertain me. After many painful hours in this rough Victorian fantasy world, I can´t wait to start my new game plus. Just as every From Soft game, this is a masterpiece!
Batman: Arkham Knight is a fan dream come true. Beautiful graphics, marvelous sound, precise controls and an entertaining fighting system and gameplay in general lead you through the exiting story. For Batman fans a must play and for every one else, it´s a solid action game.
Little Nightmares is a great horror puzzle indie game with a mystic story. While the controls are a bit clunky, the atmosphere is stunning. The game is a bit short, but I can`t wait to play part two.
Gears 5 is a beautiful action blockbuster with great characters, an amazing story and super gameplay. The ending is a bit abruptly, but if you played the first four games, you will love this one!
The original Slender has a simple but working jump scare concept. The Arrival tries another approach and fails a bit in my opinion. The game is not bad but I prefer the original one. Though it had some intense shock moments.
After playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4, I needed a long break. After getting my Series S, I bought it again and gave it another try. And it was worth it! In my first playthrough I really enjoyed the atmosphere and story, but the graphics and bugs just spoiled the experience. Now the game is finished and I totally recommend it.
Crackdown 2 is more an update of the first part than a sequel. That´s a bit of a letdown, because the first game was very innovative. But if you liked part one, you should check this out.
If you´r looking for a GTA or Saint´s Row alternative, you should definitely check out the first Crackdown. The action is over the top, the missions are entertaining and you can spend dozens of hours in the streets of the beautiful designed city!
Conker: LIve & Reloaded is basically Bad Fur Day, but with better graphics and multiplayer mode. I played Bad Fur Day a lot, so I can say, the campaign is just funny and entertaining. The multiplayer mode was a highlight in original Xbox Live days.
As a hardcore Castlevania fan, I was a bit disappointed of Harmony Of Despair. It lacks the oldschool vibe, even if the 2D look is kind of charming. It´s not bad at all, but it lacks innovation and fan service...
Today, 18 years ago, Breakdown was released. I restarted playing it few weeks ago and I had no big expectations. But it stands the test of time! The mechanics and gameplay feel fresh, the story is interesting and sound and voice actors are great. Only the graphics and locations seem a bit outdated. Nevertheless a fun game!
Band Of Bugs is a very simplistic turn-based strategy game. While the art style is kind of awkward, the gameplay gets addictive pretty fast, after you learned all the mechanics. A matter of taste, but not bad at all!
Final Fantasy XIV is a must play for all fans of MMORPGs. Especially, because it´s very beginner friendly and takes every new player by the hand. A very important point for casual players, because you can jump in and play some rounds. Graphics, gameplay and story are just on point. I can´t wait to play all the DLCs!
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is an action packed adventure game with a fantastic gameplay and beautiful graphics. The story is a bit meaningless, but that was never the strong point of Tomb Raider games. A great game for fans of the Uncharted series or Tomb Raider/Indiana Jones enthusiasts like me.
Unravel Two is a wonderful game experience, especially for couch multiplayer fans. The indie game is filled up with physical puzzles, that challenge but never frustrate you. The look and the soundtrack are rounding up the experience. The only minus point: the game is pretty short.
Rock Of Ages 3: Make & Break is an incredibly funny game. It has simple mechanics, but challenging gameplay. The story is hilariously presented and the humour and art style has a great Monty Python touch. You should definitely check this gem out!
You like Counter Strike, but love to play on console? Get Warface: Breakout! THe game is unlike many other online shooter games pretty beginner friendly and is not pay to win at all. Just drop in, play some fast-paced action-filled rounds. Very good!
I haven´t played the original from 2013, but I´m glad that I gave The Raven Remastered a try. As an oldschool crime story enthusiast, from Agatha Christie to Arthur Conan Doyle, I was surprised about how dense the atmosphere of this point and click adventure can be! It mixes favourite moments of classic Poirot stories with an Moriatyesque villain, but always stays unique. Only the graphics and at some times clunky controls aren´t convincing at all. But if you want to experience a great crime story, check The Raven out. And definitely check out Book Of Unwritten Tales from the great King Art studios.
At first, I hated the idea of killing thousands of llamas, and that´s the main theme of Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse. But as a big twin stick shooter fan, I gave it a try and it was totally worth it. When you pass the stupid and embarrassing humour and the lack of a story, you´re just right. Because this game is some addictive shooter action!
At first, the design of Hexic HD seems a bit boring, but it´s not all about good graphics and story! Once you´re in the game, it becomes highly addictive. The challenging puzzles make your brain cells go nuts! Just check it out, it´s for free. You won´t regret it!
Harms Way is a multiplayer action racing game. It works fine on the Xbox One and is funny for a couple of hours. Well-designed, fast-paced but lacks content. Also, a game, that rocks for some hours but becomes boring pretty fast.
I played Doritos Crash Course on the Xbox One with some friends and I had a lot of fun. This is actually a Takeshi´s Castle tribute game. If you liked the show, you will love the game. Sure, it´s not unique at all, but grab some beers and rock some rounds with your besties!

Stories and gameplay are flawless and the style of them are trendsetting! The only negative point is, that the graphic wasn´t really improved. Nevertheless, games you should have played at least once!
Obsidian strikes again! Tyranny is an interesting western RPG with a great story and characters. For fans of Diablo and Baldur´s Gate but with new and fresh aspects. Really good in so many aspects!
I thought good, complex RTS is dead, then came Wargame: Red Dragon. I really like the modern story, the great visuals and the thrilling gameplay! BUT it´s not a game for casuals. You have to work hard to get the full Wargame General feeling. Pure addiction!
Call Of Duty games are known for their excellent multiplayer. But COD: Black Ops surprises with a great and thrilling campaign! So you get a game with beautiful graphics, super gameplay and breathtaking action. Great times! However, get the console version and you´ll get an even better experience!
Street Fighter IV fpr PC is by far the best version you can get. The fights are balanced, beautiful graphics and nearly perfect gameplay. An easy to play but hard to master fighting game, you should definitely check out!
True Crime: Streets Of LA was considered a strong competitor for the GTA series. That didn´t work out but nevertheless you get a cool and fresh open world action game. Especially I liked the gameplay and the short but great story. Pretty solid!
Bioshock is one of the best shooter games ever released. Its clever and thrilling story is a blockbuster in comparison to many of the primitive and unimaginative shooter games released around the same time. A wonderful steam-punk mix between FPS and RPG. Must have!
Wipeout XL has everything a futuristic racing game needs. Beautiful and hypnotic levels, cool arcadish gameplay, easy controls and a fantastic soundtrack. There is so much great content hidden in this jewel, that you can spend hundreds of hours speeding the wonderful tracks. An absolute classic!
Commandos 2: Men Of Courage does so many things right, but also has some poor aspects. As a big Commandos fan on PC, I couldn´t wait to get my hands on an PlayStation 2 copy. The game itself isn´t different in aspects like the complex and intense gameplay and the beautiful graphics. The problem with this version are the clumsy controls. But after some hours into it, you´ll get a really cool gaming experience!
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was one of the last games to be released on PlayStation 2 and is still one of my all time favorite superhero adaptations. It comes along with fast and brutal action gameplay, great graphics and a lot of content. Maybe the fights get a bit repetitive after some hours, but all in all a super game for casual and hardcore players!
SOCOM II: U.S. Navy Seals was and still is one of the best tactical shooter games not only on PlayStation 2, but ever released! You get a perfect interplay between realism and fun gameplay, beautiful graphics and smooth controls. Only the multiplayer had some issues, but single player is brilliant! Very addictive, even today!
With Harry Potter And The Sorcerer´s Stone, you get a real solid 3D action adventure game. Besides that, it was a dream come true for every Harry Potter fan. Hogwarts is well designed and the graphics are really nice for PS standards! It´s maybe not the best Harry Potter game ever released, but especially for fans worth a look!
FIFA Soccer 2002 was the first soccer game I´ve ever played. Now 20 years later, I played some matches with a friend and I have to say, FIFA games didn´t really change or even significantly improve since then. Yes, graphics are better now, but gamplay? Very familiar feeling, despite of the game´s age...
After so many great 2D and 3D adventures, Indiana Jones And The Staff Of Kings is a real letdown. In its predecessors, the stories were interesting and the action was remarkable. In this installment, everything from graphics to gameplay just ****. Furthermore, the controls are just frustrating. Hardcore Indiana Jones fans will have some cool moments, but everyone else should stay away from this short and mediocre action adventure. Better stick to Lara Croft and Nathan Drake or the older Indy games!
Giants: Citizen Kabuto is a forgotten jewel! It´s more than just an early science fiction shooter. You got a wonderful world with a lot of things to do. Besides, the storyline is epic and the cutscenes are pretty funny. Definitely a great game!
After Warrior Within, Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones is a bit more back to the roots. No more gothic heavy metal style and evil prince. And it does its job even better. Mechanics feel great as usual, graphics are beautiful and the story is interesting. Wonderful job!
Tomb Raider III is just like its two predecessors a great action adventure game. Gameplay is great and challenging, the level design is very beautiful and the puzzles are fun. Great game from the early games of the adventure genre!
Hot Pursuit 2 is one of my favourite Need For Speed games to date. Glorious and intense races with beautiful cars, great soundtrack and nice graphics. I wonder if EA ever finds back to the epic roots of the NFS series.
