Dispatch10
Jul 1, 2026
Dispatch was easily one of the highlights of 2025 for me. It is a masterclass in style and atmosphere, featuring top-notch animation that feels like controlling a TV show. The voice acting is stellar, and the music playlist perfectly complements the vibe, whether the scene calls for humor, dark intensity, or a 'cool' moment. What sets this apart is how it handles character development. The way the stats system interacts with the time-travel mechanics and the protagonists' egos adds a surprising amount of depth to the gameplay. Even the puzzles offer a genuine challenge that keeps you engaged across episodes. If you enjoy narrative-driven games that lean heavily into character building and aesthetic, Dispatch is essential to play.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy8
Jul 1, 2026
It’s a shame Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy often flies under the radar. After finishing the main story in about 20 hours, my biggest complaint is simply that I wasn't ready for it to end. What truly elevates this game is the writing. It perfectly balances humor with genuine emotional weight a rare feat that makes the banter and constant debates between the crew feel authentic rather than scripted. You aren't just playing as Star-Lord; you’re managing a dysfunctional, lovable family. The gameplay is solid and enjoyable, though I admit the combat mechanics could have been fleshed out a bit more to offer more depth. However, it serves its purpose well enough to keep the momentum going. If you value character-driven storytelling over complex combat systems, this is a must-play. It captures the essence of the Guardians better than many movies have. It’s disheartening to know we might not see a sequel, but this stands as a fantastic, self-contained adventure that left me wanting just a little bit more.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach9
Jul 1, 2026
After finishing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, my biggest takeaway is how much Kojima has refined the core experience. While the first game was a masterclass in tension, the reduced presence of BTs in the sequel significantly changes the flow of exploration. It shifts the focus from constant survival anxiety to a more rewarding, meditative journey through its stunning, top-notch environments. The gameplay feels much more varied this time around, preventing the repetitive fatigue that some players felt in the first entry. Of course, this is still very much a Kojima production filled with his signature absurd moments and deep, heavy symbolism that constantly reminds you of the medium you're playing in. The story hits harder too. It manages to be deeply emotional, balanced with well-paced twists that kept me hooked until the final credits. If you enjoyed the themes of the first game but wanted more mechanical freedom and a tighter narrative, DS2 delivers in spades. It’s a rare sequel that improves on its predecessor’s foundation while confidently forging its own path.
