Good good battles... unfortunately you have to get through terrible map design and god awful platforming in order to taste them. The art style is amazing, but art style alone isn't enough to keep you around.

Why are people pretending this game is good lmao. Some of the worst level design, puzzle design, and boss design I've ever seen. Mixed in with clunky unresponsible controls. Even Indivisible is better than this.

It's okay. As a fighting game player I don't think they really nailed the fighting game inspirations (which is weird cuz they made Skullgirls) so the combat feels kind of iffy compared to other games like it.

A pretty great roguelite but there's not enough run diversity to keep you interested long-term. Really beautiful art, amazing game feel, awesome election of boons. The third act is a bit of a slog compared to everything before it just still enjoyable once you learn what boons to choose.

The combo system is great. Some of the characters are clearly more fun to use than others (Dante is super freeform meanwhile V is kinda boring). Most boss fights are really enjoyable.

You could literally just play Guilty Gear XX AC+R lmao. If you're gonna make the game all about unga bunga then at least give me a faster air dash and some gatlings so it can be fun. It's insane that XX and Xrd are like DOUBLE the speed and have DOUBLE the defensive options lmaooo.

If this is "the future of fighting games", fighting games are headed in a bad direction. Further proof that indie titles will always have more heart and soul than AAA big budget releases, yet still get swept under the rug by the casual audience. This is quite literally the most overrated fighting game of all time.

One of the best fighters of all time and the Grim of Abyss mode, while not as good or balanced as previous entries, is still a treat. The story can be a little cringe tho.
