I really don't understand the critical response for this film, the acting is bad, the writing is bad and the twist is way to obvious. Could it be that people hated the other Scream sequels so much that they're praising this one? I really don't understand why everyone likes this so much, because Scream 4 is miles better and no one praised it as much as this film. this is a META MESS, I was bored and mostly mad while watching because they're just piling on everything I've seen before with nothing new or innovative. I really didn't like this film at all, it's not the worst but the praise is way to much and I personally think it's extremely over hyped. p.s. the writers of this film treats stab wounds like mosquito bites

i don't care what anyone says, Eternals is better than a lot of the movies Marvel has made. In a few years people are gonna look back and think about how different this movie was, it's not a masterpiece but still really good. This movie makes no sense, it's pretty much the same as the animated but some how worse. This is the most cash grabby movie of cash grab movies. If Disney wanted to show off some new CGI they should have made a completely new story instead of remaking a beloved classic. This movie is unnecessary and boring, but at least they made a billion dollars and got the oscar nomination for Visual Effects. Because that was obviously their goal. I really don't like this movie, it looks good but whats the point of pretty visuals without any substance.

Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Some of the editing and accents were bad, but overall all I could have seen this being a pretty good franchise in the X-Men universe.

An engaging and atmospheric psychological horror with brilliant performances, cinematography, score and pacing, Saint Maud is a slow burn that doesn’t bore you for a single minute of it’s 83 minute runtime. This movie is kind of a cross between The VVitch and Servant on Apple TV+. Religion has always been a frightening topic to me and Saint Maud just makes it even more scary. This movie will not be for everyone but it definitely one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in the past few years.

brilliant performance by Andra Day, but it feels like Lee Daniels watched Ray, What's Love Got to do with It and other music biopics and made a carbon copy of them. I don't know the entire Billie Holiday story but this movie is formulaic and cliche, with good social commentary but bad story telling and lack of depth.

not the masterpiece I was hoping it would be but still much better than the theatrical cut. I don't want to sound like a debbie downer but I wasn't that impressed with this movie at all it was good but not great. I don't think I'll ever watch this or the first one ever again, but that being said it was still pretty cool though. p.s. the nightmare / apocalypse alternative universe scene felt more like fanfare than an important part of the story.

top tier writing, acting and directing. definitely snubbed for best picture and director. kingsley ben-adir gave an oscar worthy performance as well. just absolutely amazing.

OMFG this is the MonsterVerse movie i've been waiting on. kong jumps off a aircraft carrier like john mcclain, he pops his shoulder back in place like mel gibson in lethal weapon and he rips Mechgodzilla's spine out like the predator. this movie had me jumping up a down, it's not the smartest or deepest film but i thoroughly enjoyed it. if the MonsterVerse has more of this i'll be extremely happy. were there easter eggs of ready player one and blade runner in this film as well? i was half excepting jagears from pacific rim to appear in the climax. i'm kind of disappointed that it doesn't have a mid or post credit scene though, but i was still amazed. this film is definitely the king of the MonsterVerse... so far. p.s. the human characters were kind of useless and underdeveloped as well. but I didn't care at all i came to see a giant ape fight a lizard that shoots blue fire!

duel of the fates is the BEST score in STAR WARS history, i'll fight anyone that disagrees with me !!! this is much better than i remember, i think the world was way too critical of the prequels. they aren't as bad a people make them out to be.

bad dialogue, bad acting, bad CGI. just pretty much all bad. probably the worst STAR WARS movie to date. this is why people criticize the prequels so much.

to be honest i wasn't planning on watching this movie. the only reason i did was because of vanessa kirby's oscar nomination, but i must admit the directing and editing was really good. i feel like this would have been a really good court room drama with the other plot points spread throughout the film. p.s: they said MARTHA! in this way more times than in Batman v. Superman.

the oscars needs to stop **** around. this is some **** one oscar nomination, one !!! this is one of the biggest snubs in oscars history. what did spike lee do to the oscars for them to hate him so much?!? film editing, cinematography, sound, director, picture EVERYTHING !!! the biggest snub is definitely delroy lindo, i'm sooo mad about this.

not great but still a big improvement over the other two films. one of the biggest problems to me is that they killed off some very important characters way to fast but none the less still pretty entertaining. this makes the other 2 previous films look like bad cosplay. looks like hollywood is finally starting to get video game movies right. p.s. this movie is a bootleg wanted , the matrix, highlander, the old guard and assassin’s creed. this movie is all types of bad. I don't know if the production rushed but this feels like an entire season of a tv show that got cancelled after one season. why wasn't Dylan O'Brien the lead, Mark Wahlberg is horrible in this role.

the opening scene of this movie is kind of cringey, they should have gotten a famous singer to make a theme song and had a james bond style title scene, that would have been so cool. it kind of **** that this is the movie they made for her, it feel like they just wanted to introduce new characters into the franchise and they used her film to do so. the action scenes and performances are great but black widow deserves better than this. overall still a pretty good action film. not the beacon of of light for female led films in the MCU but nonetheless still a good addition to the franchise. p.s. taskmaster was a really big let down and ray winston was comically bad. i think he was supposed to be a " men with power " are evil type of character but the message was way to heavy handed.

i need prequels, sequels, spin-offs and an entire expanded Gunpowder Universe. I'm gonna watch this at least two more times ! this movie is gonna make The 355 look bad when it comes out later on in the year, not to put them in competition but this was miles better than Black Widow.

this was way better than i expected, i thought this was gonna be some kind of corny Lifetime romantic thriller but this really surprised me. i don't want to spoil it but if you like Lovecraftian horror this will be a pretty good watch for you.

Dune is such a well made film, Denis Villeneuve is a very imaginative and competent director, but this film felt kind of rushed. it was like he was afraid he wouldn’t get the green light to make sequels so he tried to fit as much as he could into one film. Maybe he wanted to make a trilogy or maybe even 5 movies but the budget is so big that he felt he had to make two films in order to assure that he could complete the story. This film is visually and technically astonishing, but like i said before it’s so rushed and everything is happening so fast that you can’t take a minute to actually focus on what’s going on. If you’re not a fan of the Duniverse or have read the books you will definitely be lost. The screenplay and writing is good but for a film based on a book series with so much material the story is kind of lacking. The film itself truly is a visual wonder, the costumes, art direction, makeup and visual effects are top tier and will definitely be a strong contender for a few Oscars. That being said, I’m really looking forward to seeing this new Dune franchise expanded into more movies and TV shows, with the creative talent behind it, this could rival that of bigger franchises such as Star Wars and other sci-fi properties. p.s. Timothée Chalamet is extremely overrated

i thought this would be a semi horror, artsy creature feature, but this turned out to be a weird family drama. nice reveal at the end and i really like the film but i wanted more horror or just some cool horrific imagery. i ended up laughing more than being disturbed or horrified.

same old or something new?
