Woah Dave!10

This is the most addictive game I've played this decade. If you love pure gameplay, you should already be playing Woah Dave! This game has lots of depth, every time I play I notice something new. And the music is awesome!

Broken Age: Act 20
May 2, 2015
A betrayal of customers and fans in every way. The Kickstarter said they were making a LucasArts style Point & Click Adventure game. This is not that, in any way. So they made people wait a year and a half for basically rehashed animations and artwork, a few new lines of dialogue and little else? Sorry, DoubleFine, but I feel cheated and I don't intend to support your products anymore. It's obvious that the Kickstarter money has been redirected towards other things, like paying bills, and not making the game people paid for. Since the 'Adventure game' kickstarter, DoubleFine has released an unfinished game (Spacebase DF9), a bad game (Hack and Slash), and an absolute mediocre disappointment (BrokenAge). Does anyone seriously expect Massive Chalice to be any good? In the meantime, they also released Costume Quest 2, published by Midnight City (who went bankrupt in the process). Nice! I hope people realize there is nothing to be expected from Tim Schafer. He used to be a great game designer, now he is just a washed up hack who can't produce a decent game and scams his fans to keep his business afloat.

Grand Theft Auto V1

Good, not amazing, GTA game that is held back by the terrible business practices of it's creator. Banning people for using FOV mods, not offering proper customer support, etc. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a game like this when there are many other sand box action games on PC, like Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row, that don't have any of those problems.

Short, too expensive, not enough content. This game feels like a product of contempt. It's like the devs said 'this is good enough' too soon. Graphics look nice in some places, but overall it's just not worth it.

This is one of the most overrated games of recent years. Gameplay is poor, repetitive, enemy variety is non-existent (three or four types, the rest is color swap), levels all look exactly the same, with a lot of color swapping too. This game became famous for the dynamic voice overs and the pseudo philosophical story, but anyone who has any cultural reference beyond gaming will find it shallow and hardcore gamers will find it dull.

Final Fantasy VII5

As someone who was into gaming and JRPGs back when FF7, I can easily understand why people went nuts for it back then. Playing it for the first time in 2014, all I can say is that the game doesn't live up to the hype and has aged poorly. Combat is predictable and incredibly easy, with very little need strategy or the need to understand the enemies and their skills. Materia system is cool, but poorly implemented. They level up too slowly and make the characters feel indistinct in battle. The story has good moments, but really just stops in the end of Part 1 and never recovers. The necessity for one "Deus Ex Machina" solution after another in later game could be an indication that the plot changed a lot during development to appease executives and this resulted in the tonal disparity that is omnipresent in FF7's story telling. The thing that bothers me the most about FF7, even more than the Chocobo Farming, is the fact that it feels like an incredibly small step forward from FF6. The systems and the game flow feel so similar that it's kind of disappointing. All the new things introduced by FF7 are related to cut-scenes and graphics. The core game behind all the bells and whistles is 16-bit through and through. For me, Final Fantasy 7 has been an underwhelming experience.

This game is the best JRPG I've played in this decade and it should be more recognized as an amazing achievement in the genre. I played it for 150 hours, beat the end game and still wanted more.

Best one yet, with more content than previous games. Overall, it's a beautiful celebration of Picross and it's power to make people happy. Best: It's Picross, but more. Worst: Still no option to play your own music.

Best one in the series so far. More puzzles, including some that unlock if you played previous games, and the same phenomenal design. There is not a lot to be said about Picross E4, but it's a great game if you like picross puzzles.

Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale10

This is one of those unique modern games that can't easily be described by referencing older games, because there is very little like it. The game plays like a JRPG, but there is no combat. The progression works like an Adventure game, but there are no puzzles. The game is about playing out the story and collecting cards in the card-battle mini game. The main story lasts 2-3 hours and it won't take more than 6-7 hours to 100% the game. Still, it deserves 10/10. So why is it so good? Play it and find out.

Not only is this game a buggy mess, but the pricing in Brazil is totally absurd. US$ 80?? Die and burn in hell, Konami. I'm not buying this **** on their right minds would think this is acceptable in any way, shape or form?

This game is terrible. Technically it's broken and even if you choose to ignore the control problems and 'play along', you will end up facing one of the worst stories in gaming history. Going from cliche to crapfast in a matter of seconds, this is just bad storytelling. Also, glitches are all over the place

I love this game. Recommend it to anyone who likes turn-based strategy games (like Jagged Alliance) and turn-based RPGs (like Fallout 1 & 2). The game really shines after two or three hours of gameplay, when you start to have many options of things to do. Also, the game features many config options, I was easily able to make it run smooth on my machine (i5, 6GB ram, AMD 6750M).

I played this game for 3 hours. It's a beautiful game, with a great soundtrack and good voice-overs. But gameplay is shallow at best. Everything you do in the first 15 minutes is everything you'll for the rest of the time. And it ain't much. It's not an RPG at all. It's more like a top-down isometric shooter/hack and slash. There's no reason to get this game with so many more interesting games out there.

Ninja Blade10
Nov 25, 2012
Great game for PC gamers looking for some Ninja Gaiden style action. The port does not take full advantage of high end PC specs, but at least it runs pretty well on my mid-tier laptop (i5, 6GB ram, HD 6750M). The game's story is like an impossible high budget b-movie. It's so over-the-top that it feels like a parody. There is a lot of QTE, a little too much for my taste, but the cut-scenes look great. The graphics are generally good, but not perfect as some textures and models feels detached from the rest. Despite the very different gameplay style, Ninja Blade has controls and level design reminiscent of Dark Souls, a much cooler game also developed by From Software.

This is a really original and great game that is a bit too short and repetitive to be perfect. Finished the main campaign in four hours (haven't played the DLC yet), but loved every minute of it. My advice is buy it, but if you are uncomfortable with the current full price for a short game, pick it up during a sale. You'll most likely not regret it

Ys: The Oath in Felghana10
Sep 20, 2012
This is a top-quality console style action RPG (like Secret of Mana) and fans of the genre should most definitely give it a try. The game offer a strong challenge, but do not be discouraged. Much like the highly praised Dark Souls, Ys: The Oath in Felghana demands you master the controls to advance in the game. Players that only know modern console games might not be able appreciate this type of gameplay, but that's OK. Your loss. The story is good in a weird way, as despite being almost irrelevant in parts, it's efficient in maintaining the pace of the adventure. Yes, there is some standard JRPG nonsense like the classic (SPOILER ALERT) find the items that belonged (or are in some way is linked) to the hero from the legends, and so forth. However, one must remember this is a remake **** originally released in 1989. It wasn't a cliche back then and there is more to the story than just that stuff. I have to set aside some lines to just say that the music in this game is awesome. If you like the music from games like Final Fantasy VI, you'll seriously dig it. It's that same genre of crazy Japanese instrumental heavy metal, but with real instruments. Just the music is worth the admission fee.
