ZombiU7

This game is NOT easy. Zombies do not go down quickly. The ones you meet later on are rough. To be honest the only reason why I gave it a low review is because I didn't like it on the WiiU. I didn't like how the gamepad removed me from the action onscreen. It very much removed the sense of immersion that the game works to build. But as far as zombie games go, it's fairly difficult, creepy and there's a fair amount of intensity in some parts of the game. It's not terrible though. I'm just not drinking the koolaid when it comes to a 2 screen experience.

Halo 410

I can remember the days when I hated FPS and then I discovered Halo. Loved the new weapons and new race to fight. Loved the graphics. I can say that I had so much fun playing through the campaign with my brother in law and making jokes. If the walking dead hadn't destroyed my heart before I played this, I might have even cried when one of my beloved characters died. I think the beauty here is that they didn't try to teach an old dog any tricks. They just tweaked the same stuff we've been loving for years.

The Walking Dead: Episode 5 - No Time Left10
Nov 21, 2012
Hands down the best game I have ever played in terms of story, connection between characters and players. This morning as I finished this game at about 8am for the final 5 minutes of dialogue between our main characters I began crying, when the title screen came up I for a moment felt angry "Wait, WHAT? That's it", when it showed me all the characters I'd come in contact with over the past 7 months a deep pain set in and I felt bad for some of the things I'd done, and I cried for them. When the credits ran and the lyrics said "take us back oh take us back" I couldn't stop myself from heaving heavy sobs and wishing that for these 12 digital people we could have stayed away from the place that doomed them. It is so powerful and potent of an ending that I'm not sure I'll be able to play my alternate save right away. It's an hour and a half later and I'm still trying to disconnect and get ready for work this morning. This was everything that Kirkman brought to the comics, the sense of dread and never ending sorrow, it is something we are just starting to see in the show. I applaud telltale for not falling into the typical zombie game pitfalls and trying to tidy it all up and keep us all happy, for making me wonder where my beloved characters are. In staying true to the spirit of Kirkman they surpassed him in devastation.

Dragon Ball Z for Kinect5
Nov 14, 2012
1) BAD Kinect gesturing. It's ridiculously hard to get your moves right and you just end up doing the same thing over and over again. There are great Kinect games but this is just not one of them. The main menu isn't the easiest to make work either. 2) However just like Dragonball Z it is HILARIOUSLY bad. I laugh hilariously when watching other people play it in my house. This is going to be a GREAT drunk night game.

The Walking Dead: Episode 4 - Around Every Corner10
Nov 14, 2012
My only negative here was that this became a lot more combat intensive and I didn't expect it. I died a lot which annoyed me. However the plot twist at the end had me in tears and as usual I was incredibly riveted to the game and played it straight through the same day it was released. They've improved every chapter. #5 is sure to break my heart.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted8
Nov 14, 2012
It must be said, I HATE racing games. I'm never very good at it, but I am enjoying this game. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous, the cars are fabulous, and I'm really having a good time playing online trying to take my friends out in races. There are some challenging races but some can be a bit dull unless you hit a cop car and start a chase. They LOSE a point for the weird advertising that happens mid game! How weird to shove product placement after you win or lose a race. For me the fun is in the co-op, and I don't play it at all unless my friends are online. There's no real campaign, no sort of story telling or anything like that.

Lollipop Chainsaw7
Nov 14, 2012
Lollipop Chainsaw is a fun game but it's definitely a buy for cheaper at gamestop kind of game. It's got repetitive combat but I enjoyed the silliness involved, especially the ultra final boss . All the "****' and "slut" stuff got a little tiring after a few hours of hearing b yell the same insults at Juliet, but it wasn't the worst thing. It's just the kind of game where you have to be able to laugh at the upskirts and stereotypical characters or you won't enjoy it. One of the funniest things was Nick, even though he was a headless teenager I enjoyed his banter with Juliette as she ran around. I dropped it down to an 8 because I HATE quick time events. In the end it's a descent Suda51 game but it's no No More Heroes and I expected more from it.

I think I was expecting something else entirely. The good first: For a side scrolling platform game the DIMENSION to the world is phenomenal. Just amazing how the zombies come from the depths of darkness or one moment when they move from the distance into the foreground. There's a great almost puzzle-like section underground I liked a lot. The bad: The pretty much quicktime events. Yes there's a sense of urgency when there's a plane shooting at you but I just got tired of dying over and over again for not button mashing fast enough to climb a fence or run ahead of a problem. I couldn't stand the voice over narration from the main character. However I appreciated a fresh approach to my favorite genre. It's a genre now right? "Zombie killing"

Lucius6
Nov 4, 2012
This game is obviously an homage to The Omen. You play as Lucius a child who discovers he's the son of the devil on his 6th birthday. From this point on you just wreak havoc on your household until there's nothing left. No seriously, whomever you think you might want to kill around you... you probably will. Graphically it's fine but I'm not someone who needs HD to feel happy with a game. If they get the ambiance and feeling of the game right, I'm good. I feel like Lucius did a good job there. It was easy to play and I also appreciated that when I had things like a toy or a bike in a room where I committed a murder, it was also in the cutscene. I appreciated the continuity. There were some unexpected twists I enjoyed but I do feel the end was a bit rushed and it left me feeling like there was supposed to be more but it got scrapped to meet a deadline. I also took off points because of the abrupt ending that left me feeling dissatisfied with 100 questions. (what happens to Lucius? Where is the devil in all this? What the hell was the point of murdering all these people? Do I go on to do more devilish things? Can I take over the world? I'm only 6, will I go on to ruin another family?) Bottom line, I had fun! The price was a little steep but if you can get a little discount on a Steam Deal it's worth it.
