Fan of the horror genre, and I must say this game is fantastic. It keeps the menacing atmosphere alive throughout the game and there is not a single instance where you dont feel unnerved. Gorgeous graphics. Interesting, although generic... well executed story. This has to be one of my best games ever. Poor character designs loses a few scares though.... but that is the only negative really. And besides the fact that that it is marketed as a short bite sized game, I think it is fairly fully fledged and able to pull through for a relatively perfect length of time.

Im sorry, but this game is being hated on for absolutely no reason. its a pretty game, it has innovative and interesting gameplay and to top it all... it is on a handheld!!! cmon guys... the vita has been suffering from mediocre reviews from critics that are totally not befitting with games that have been groundbreaking... i.e. killzone mercenaries and Uncharted Golden Compass.... I think we can all agree that the critics seem to be swayed by each other's reviews because they themselves have not played the games or know very little of gaming.

there has been a few mediocre reviews on this game.... Im a fan of the ps3 version and was hoping that the vita port wasn't going to be a downer. MK suffered from poor graphics. TBH the graphics aren't as good as the PS3... that is obvious though. its still good and looks way better than MK did. everything else is pretty much the same. same fluid gameplay and a dynamic environment.

playing this game makes you marvel at the level gaming has reached. The game immerses you with spectacular graphics, engaging environments and authentic gameplay... and this could be ANYWHERE! in the back seat of a car or on the train... If there is a game that your Vita deserves... it is Killzone Mercenaries.

So I have played a few good hours of this game... not complete yet. I just have to say though, this game has two very different sides to it. the art style, graphics visuals and sound are all on par... the story is intriguing and the environments make you want to return. I had a few hair raising moments in the game already... which i never had in a game for while (dead spaces included).... the problem comes in the gameplay... i wouldn't even call it bad... the fighting system is putrid and you better off running away from enemies than even attempting to challenge them... moving around the streets of silent hill could make you want to pull your hair out from constant frame rate issues and lags.... it is like nothing I have experienced before. movements are also clunky.... getting stuck between walls etc. nothing in this game is fluid... and that is the annoying bit.... if I have to sum it up... playing Silent Hill Downpour is like reading an amazing book... with words and letters that are difficult to distinguish and pages that stuck together or torn... not cool... and a waste of the poor artists and writers effort... test games before you dish the junk to us... you **** Konami

This is a fantastic game... the graphics are awesome... its tons of fun and the story is simple and interesting. It doesn't to put you into a world of amazing characters and a deep story line with absolute freedom in game play... but what I do promise is that you will be amazed by its awesome visuals fun gameplay and just downright pure entertainment.

I don't understand who this game appeals to i really don't. I really want to like devil may cry 4 but the developers make it very very hard. The main characters are kick ass... the story seems cool... the environments are well done... and the gameplay and feel of the game is just awesome. but why oh why do they mess it up to the point where one begins to hate the game... with a story line which is sooooo fragmented and ludicrous and enemies which are just plain cheap both in the way they look and their fighting. there is no character development and the new characters in this game are have absolutely no personality... to an almost creepy level. the environments begin to have a somewhat haunting feel to them which is not necessary in a game of this genre and don't seem to even fit into the world of the game and seem to be designed and put there with no reasoning at all... they don't even fit into the story. To make matters worst is the fact that the player needs to redo all the stages as well as all the boss fights with Dante. This pat of the game was the most frustrating as its much much harder than it is with Nero... the game changes from being slightly entertaining to just pure and utter frustration. I hated this game. I really loathed it. Its not cool... its not fun its just pure and utter frustration in a world and story one could experience during a horrible nightmare. I HATE THIS GAME!!!

The game is beautiful... the story is amazing... the main character becomes a part of you... its long and **** you into 6 completely different worlds that are so different to each other but seem to blend into the story seamlessly. Clone my ass.. this game is unbelievable. The end scene after the credits is just the cherry on top.

Unlike the original Uncharted, that had a simple interesing story taking you through a short game that had spectacular visuals and "good" gameplay... the guys at naughty dog thought they could re do the entire game and make it better by just making it bigger longer and... well... prettier. to be honest. this game did not work for me. halfway through i was tired of shooting soldiers... like seriously how many can there be, I did not care about the story... kinda forgot what the hell i was doing anyway. not a great game. totally overrated.

This game is great!!... it may not have great gameplay dynamics or mechanics or bla bla bla... whatever else the techno gaming geeks love talking about... the main thing is its fun. You will want to play it. You will want to discover the rest of the story, you will want to live in the beautiful and deadly world the guys at Ninja Theory have painstakingly created. The characters are deep and well done with perfect voice and mition acting. Get this game, ignore the haters... its great!
