The best thing about this movie is that you believe in the relationship. Hart and Johnson are a classic comedy duo in the tradition of Abbott & Costello, Bob Hope & Bing Crosby and Gene Wilder & Richard Pryor.

While not necessarily a diamond-in-the-rough itself, Central Intelligence proves that Johnson has always been at the center of his own ring, in more ways than one. It just took the rest of us (and Hollywood) a little longer to notice.

While it fails to deliver convincing action and its comedy feels watered down, Central Intelligence does get the “buddy” aspect correct. Doing their best with a script (also by Ike Barinholtz and David Stasser) that feels all-too-safe, Johnson and Hart manage to prove that a movie can glide by just enough on sheer charisma alone.

That it manages to score a good laugh every couple of minutes is mostly a credit to stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, who make for a better mismatched-buddy comic duo than the movie probably deserves.

With its canned, predictable action sequences and mirthless attempts at humor, it displays an ineptitude that is frankly shocking considering the talent involved.

The movie unexpectedly flows smoothly from one scenario to the next, and their unique comedy styles work very well with each other. I thought this movie was going to be stupid, but it is brilliantly smart, in a dumb way, so good that I watched it twice! This is one movie to rent if you have a bunch of friends over, have BBQ, beer, good times.

A Refreshing Action Comedy Elevated by Balanced Chemistry and Genuine Charm Across an Unlikely Duo.201110 (3.0)I initially expected a predictable teen-to-adult makeover story, but the actors' performances and natural chemistry were wonderfully balanced and never over-the-top, allowing me to enjoy the entire film comfortably to the very end. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have great, restrained chemistry together. In particular, Kevin Hart, who usually plays eccentric and over-the-top characters, takes on a more grounded straight-man role here, making his comedic timing feel much more composed, snappy, and genuinely entertaining. Meanwhile, it was such a pleasant surprise to see Jesse from "Breaking Bad" pop up, and he even delivers his iconic line, "****!" The honey badger reference was completely hilarious. And at the end, Robbie's quirky first love makes an appearance, played wonderfully by Melissa McCarthy—she is truly fantastic, just as memorable as when she made that incredible impression in The Hangover series. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and starring Dwayne Johnson alongside Kevin Hart, the 2016 buddy action comedy "Central Intelligence" follows an unassuming accountant who is unexpectedly reunited with a former high school outcast turned lethal CIA operative on the eve of their class reunion. Thrust into a world of espionage, shootouts, and undercover stings, the two must navigate high-stakes conspiracies while reconciling their past insecurities and discovering the true meaning of friendship and self-worth.

Whilst the chemistry and humour between Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart is brilliant, the lazy action sequences and monotonous story isn't quite as appealing. It is far better as a comedy than it is an action film.

I was expecting to enjoy this movie a little more than I thought I would. The comedy was sort of there but fell flat 90% of the time. The action sequences were ok but the villain was utterly forgettable. In addition you could see that the rock and Kevin hart were trying to have chemistry together but it just was not there. I would pass on this movie

Starring Dwayne The Toothfairy Johnson and Kevin The New Adam Sandler Hart in a movie that's too boring to be an action movie and not funny enough to be a comedy. Someone told Kevin Hart he was funny and someone told Dwayne Johnson he could act and now we get this. Predictable, bland and a waste of time. Not recommended.
