Goldeneye is a great first-person shooter that is a brilliant addition to any gamer's library. With fairly great graphics, tight single-player and good on and offline multiplayer, anyone who likes a good shooter- or even a good game- should buy this! PRESENTATION: The graphics in Goldeneye 007 Wii are quite impressive- most models are well detailed, there are a lot of particle effects and textures are well done. The graphics do take something of a hit in multiplayer but even then they are good- better than most Wii games at least. The soundtrack is very appropriate and is pleasing when putting bullets into your enemies. The story is also well-constructed, following the Bond movie of the same name. GAMEPLAY: The single-player campaign on Goldeneye 007 is a great blast, full of cinematic shots and bullet-storms. The Wii handles the constant shots from everywhere very well, and the shooting is very good. With multiple control methods, there will definitely be something for you: I prefer the Classic Controller Pro but many like the IR pointer controls. The multiplayer is also a great experience which runs really well. There are a good quantity of modes and maps, allowing for a variety of gameplay styles. Are you a sniper? Go play 'Jungle'. Like intense fire fights? Sewer's for you! This game is also pretty long- the campaign will last you 8 hours but the multiplayer will **** hours from your life! Play this game. You have to. This re-imagining of the N64 classic is well worth the money, with tight, long-lasting gameplay. 9/10

The Wii has had some very good games in its lifespan- Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Goldeneye 007- heck, even The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. But none surpass Skyward Sword, the game which truly capitalises upon the hardware, using motion controls to play a work of art. PRESENTATION: Skyward Sword looks and sounds a treat- the impressionistic art style lends itself to the wacky, off-beat characters present here-in and the blur effect- while in use because of the Wii's lack of grunt- creates a beautiful painting in the background. The graphics also aid in the gameplay, accentuating what the player has to do with their new found mastery of the blade. The game also sounds delightful, the orchestrated soundtrack delivering many memorable tunes. The story is the best that the Zelda saga has to offer- deep characters with moving tales told through well-designed cinematic cutscenes. While the lack of voice-acting is a pain, I can understand why it was done- these characters probably wouldn't be quite so fun to talk to if they were being acted out. GAMEPLAY: Skyward Sword revolutionises the Zelda formula. It takes what was once only in the dungeons of its world and spreads them out across Hyrule, leaving you with a constant challenge, wherever you go. Skyloft is something of a hub from which you travel to the lands below. There you complete very original challenges and battle foes in an all-new way. In addition, the dungeons themselves are better designed- instead of having dozens of smaller rooms, the puzzles are built across huge halls! Now, the combat. Using super-accurate Motion Plus controls, battles themselves are puzzles which you have to defeat by swinging well. The first boss just goes to show how accurate they are, destroying you if you flail randomly! With 40 or so hours in the main plot, another 10-15 in bonus content like side-quests and then a harder version of the main plot, you are getting a lot of bang for your buck- 80-100 hours? This game is a must-own: the puzzles are brilliant, the monsters amazing, the graphics stunning and the soundtrack awe-inspiring. This has cast off the shadow of Ocarina Of Time is a game that all should play. 10/10

Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games on Wii for a vast variety of reasons. From the bright colourful graphics to the absolutely astounding gameplay, Galaxy took me in its arms and drove me through an epic adventure of hop-and-bop wonder. The graphics are utterly amazing, pushing the hardware to its limits- we have high polygon models, deep and well defined textures and a bright and cheery colour palette. The orchestrated music adds to this deeply atmospheric and space-driven world, with themes to fit every Galaxy you visit. But the gameplay is where this game truly comes into its own- with a good challenge and plenty of variety in the platforming puzzles you must overcome, I was really amazed. The tight controls lent themselves to the mind-warping gravity-based platforming. In addition, there is a ton of content in this game- with 120 stars spread over 40 or so galaxies, you won't be putting this game down in a hurry! This game is a joy to play- from the adventurous levels based on exploration to some of the trickiest platforming this side of Shinobi, I can utterly recommend Super Mario Galaxy! Play it now, if you haven't already :)
