South Park: Snow Day! features some interesting mechanics that change up the drudgery of its mediocre combat, but it ultimately feels too shallow and underdeveloped. The short length doesn’t allow much room for the content to grow or develop, either. In the end, I think this is one snow day I’d rather stay inside for.

Unfortunately, South Park: Snow Day! is a very shallow multiplayer game, with overly simplistic story and gameplay. The familiar and welcoming vulgar humour of the animation may be here but it can't help to hide a truly mediocre game.

After two triumphant video game outings, South Park: Snow Day is a crushingly disappointing effort, with new development team Question leaving behind everything that made the New Kid’s previous two adventures such a success. Bland combat, a distinct lack of humor, and one-dimensional level design come together to create something that I suspect most will bounce off immediately. Not even the mildly interesting rogue-lite card system and persistent upgrades can save this one from disaster. At worst, I expected Snow Day to be something that at least could be recommended to hardcore fans, but with such a disregard for what makes South Park special, this is one even the most die-hard of fans can avoid.

You can finish the game by playing for like 4 hours. Lot of glitches, barely unplayable. Dont buy this.

Very bad, unpolished. Audio is absolutely terrible in every single way. Dialogue is terrible, there are hardly any jokes, this game should not have gotten past the pitch phase. Completely lacking.

South Park Snow Day is a complete mess, short of disaster. A temporary winning streak that has reevaluated South Park’s video game reputation ends here as Snow Day’s frustrating gameplay and camera, horrible soundmixing, and safe humor kill the potential of a delightfully raunchy multiplayer South Park game. Do yourself a favor and stay home to avoid this frostbite.

Overall, I found South Park: Snow Day to be an entertaining story with a fun twist on the usual D&D meets dungeon crawler experience. Not to mention, it’s a great option to play with friends. The gameplay was smooth and challenging all the way through, allowing me to change my style by trying different weapons and powers. With all its great features, it becomes instantly replayable. If you’re a South Park fan, it’s a must to try!

South Park: Snow Day! is a pretty good roguelike with tons of different cards to make each run feel different, complete with that SP humour.

South Park: Snow Day by no means lives up to its predecessors. Still, it manages to be worthwhile for those invested in the franchise. After all, it’ll only set you back thirty bucks. Just be aware it’s not a game that will hold your attention for hours on end. Fans of the turn-based combat found in previous titles may find it jarring that Snow Day flips that formula on its head in favor of an action-oriented gameplay loop. It’s also disappointing that said action ends up being as shallow as a kiddie pool. Yet, I still enjoyed my time with these characters, even if it was over in the blink of an eye.

South Park Snow Day is an entertaining, if simple, title that entirely focuses on multiplayer. Fans of the show will lap up the humor, but those planning to go in alone will be disappointed.

Is it fun in multiplayer? Not very much. It's also not fun for fans of the series. This game uses the form of a popular world, but does not give satisfaction.

South Park: Snow Day! distances itself from previous games both in terms of genre and visuals: and the result falls short of expectations, with repetitive and unimaginative combat.

Thanks to recent successes, we know exactly what a great South Park game looks like, and South Park: Snow Day! couldn’t be farther from it. I’m a huge fan of throwing out the rulebook to try something completely fresh, especially in this age of samey sequels and forever live-service games that increasingly play it safe, but this bold attempt at a new direction misses the mark so drastically I’m aghast at just how sideways things went. Whether it’s due to the thoroughly unenjoyable combat or the uncharacteristicly toothless and unfunny story, I can’t recommend anyone waste their time on this cooperative lost cause – even my fellow die-hard South Park fans.

Snow Day South Park: Snow Day is exactly what you’d expect from a franchise that has spent over two decades pushing boundaries with irreverent humor and sharp social commentary. As a fan of the series, I was both excited and apprehensive diving into this latest entry, but it delivered on the iconic promise of the show while introducing fresh elements that keep it relevant.
The game itself offers little in regards to keeping you hooked and does comes very repetitive.

Snow Day is pretty much made for the fans and in general enjoyable for a weekend.

In this game, South Park becomes child's play in terms of humor, lacking the acidic humor and references that are classic in the series. The main characters "accompany" you solely through a poorly executed phone, repeating dialogues incessantly, much like the enemies who also incessantly repeat dialogues, rarely uttering a profanity. It only features 5 main missions, enjoyable the first few times but becoming monotonous thereafter. The "multiplayer" mode lacks interest if you don't have friends on the same platform (because no, the game isn't crossplay), making it boring. The absence of key characters like the boys, Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny, who only appear in the background, and other characters like Wendy, Craig, Clyde, Scott, and adults such as Randy, Gerald, and even the teachers, is deeply felt. This results in experiencing only the marvelous world of South Park where they are the main focus. In the previous two games, it was exciting to use the boys and others, each with their different abilities, full of humor and charisma, something overlooked here, even though Phone Destroyer (a free game) has it. They could have included all these characters in the form of support cards or spells, but they didn't even manage that. The story idea is good and feels soulfully written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, but THQ failed to apply it to a video game. I understand the game costs $30, but I would have preferred to wait another 2 or 3 years for a good game priced at $70. The only positive aspect is the graphics; the 3D modeling of the town, characters, and effects are beautiful, although the excessive snow obscures the beauty of the town a bit. I know snow is the main theme of the game, but they went overboard. If the game isn't updated soon, it will be just another paperweight.
