Mr. Robot: Season 18
Sep 28, 2015
The show of our times. Its themes and conflicts belong only with this generation. Mr Robot's world is a heightened version of our daily lives. Reflecting not only our problems and desires for revolution, but going about it in the way that most represents us: technology. Evidencing capitalism in the way it manifests for our generation, via virtual money that only exits in information in computers and networks. The only thing I didn't like, is that the show diluted its main storyline and objective by adding subplots like Sheila and Elliot's therapist. Perhaps if the season could've been two episodes shorter, everything could've been more tightly packed and it would've made this a perfect season. Episode 8 is undoubtedly the stand out of the season.

The Mindy Project: Season 49

What I like the most about this show is that it kept taking risks: getting the two will-they-won't-they leads together in the second season, and adding a baby into the mix now. I trust the writers to make it work. In Hulu, the show has been given more freedom of running time, allowing it to resolve everything better than it did in network TV. This change in format has been completely beneficial, and I look forward to the rest of this season A terribly underrated show, that continues to be as awesome as ever.

You're the Worst: Season 27

So far, this season is lacking the freshness that surrounded the first season. Jimmy and Gretchen still have the same conflicts with relationships as they had in the first season, and I'm wondering how much actual character development occurred in the first season. Edgar and Lindsay find themselves in different situations than they did in the first season, making their story more intriguing to me, and if the end of the third episode is to be believed, this season we will see some growth on Lindsay's part.

Catastrophe: Season 19
Sep 28, 2015
"Charming" is the best description for this show. The premise isn't original, but the strength of the show lies in its two leads, who have great chemistry and are very likeable characters, that it's easy to root for. It feels like a fresh take of an old premise. My only complain is that Sharon's character comes across as neurotic and crazy, while Rob doesn't seem to have any obvious flaws.

You're the Worst: Season 110

This dark and occasionally raunchy comedy is definitely worth a watch. The two leads are good comedy actors, but it is Aya Cash who stands out the most. The supporting cast shows their comedic chops more and more as the season progresses. The characters have clear development and you find yourself liking them, despite the fact they aren't very good people. The first season is bookended very well, as themes mentioned in the first episode have parallels in episode 10. Making it a very thought-out season. Overall, You're the Worst is a great show, with a perfect first season.
