Binged the first 4 eps last night, and unless they really drop the ball this might be my fave show of the years so far. Ali Wong is in BEAST MODE god damn.

Not terrible, but cliché as all hell, feels like every high school drama you've ever seen.

For some reason season 2 didnt work for me, found it boring. But season 3 is crackerjack, reminds me why i loved season 1 so much. Just genuinely funny writing and a great ensemble.

I was going to anyway, but Dahmer is the final nail in the coffin of why im cancelling my Netflix subscription. Abhorrent and indefensible.

Wanted to like it. Love the cast, but the writing is really obvious and not that funny. Its an easy watch but I doubt id watch more than a season.

Im sure it will only get better, but the first episode is a bit of a snoozer. Its pretty indefensible for Amazon to waste a billion dollars on a half baked IP spinoff series when that money can be put to such better use in the world.

Doesn't feel unique in any way, feels more like they're consciously trying to recreate what they think we loved about GOT. brutal violence? check. Profanity? check. an orgy scene? check. petty squabbles for power between family memebers? check. Feels all too familiar and uninspired. I do like Milly **** though, even if it feels like they're trying to give us another Arya to root for.

A review from someone who has not read the source material... I'm halfway through the season so I feel qualified to give an opinion....yeah its good. Not amazing, but definitely watchable. An over reliance on sub par looking CG does make the show feel a bit cheap. The acting is good, Sturridge is a bit one note though, which makes it feel hard to connect with him. Dialogue is sometimes clunky and a bit cringe as well. Some storylines, like Dream and Lucifer's battle in hell were extremely silly and underwhelming. Patton Oswalt's raven sidekick feels straight out of a Disney movie. So the show definitely has its flaws. It feels most similar to American Gods, another show that I enjoyed but got sick of past its first season. I hope the season finishes on a strong note. It just feels like it should have been a big budget HBO show, but on Netflix it feels a bit rushed, a bit cheap.

Its fun. Its low stakes. Its an easy binge. I like all the actors here. That's all I need.

(Review based on the first episode) Nathan For You never really grabbed me, and I suspect if you loved that show you're going to love The Rehearsal too. Conversely, if you didn't click with NFY, this is going to be pretty underwhelming, as it was for me. Interestingly, I ADORE 'How to with John Wilson'... I think that's such a clever and sincere study of the awkwardness and weirdness of humanity, and you can definitely feel Nathan's fingerprints all over that show. The premise is ok, like its a very Reality TV style gimmick. The execution is ****. Didnt laugh. Didnt cry. Kinda wished it was shorter. It all felt far too staged too, like very little of it felt authentic or organic. If its your thing, cool. Just wasnt for me.

Firstly, the story is so ludicrous I had to laugh at the disclaimer "inspired by true events". This is an ok but fairly cheesy and predictable attempt at a True Detective style procedural thriller where the killer pretends to be mentally impaired but is actually a criminal mastermind. The drug dealer just happens to be a totally ripped male model and his FBI handler a smoking hot young **** believability is stretched to breaking point at times here. Apple aint no HBO, put it that way.

OK, firstly the length of each episode is ridiculous. What is worse is that they easily could have cut a lot of filler from each ep. There are soooo many long boring scenes of two characters just sitting there and talking. I have no idea why they were trying to desperately to pad each episode with unnecessary filler but it dragged every episode down and became a slow grind to get through. Secondly, I just don't really care about most of these characters. The new ones like Yuri, angry jock guy, and the stoner pizza dude, were just awful stereotypes that added nothing to the show. And existing characters like Lucas and his sister, Mike, Will and his brother were just boring. The interesting storylines, like Eleven and her memories, and Vecna and Max were pretty much the only thing that kept me watching. And Steve is still the man. So Season 4 is my least fave. Not looking forward to season 5 I gotta say.

Erin Doherty carries this series, a great intense, demanding performance from start to finish. The mystery is interesting, and its got a little Veronica Mars vibe happening which is right up my alley. The suspense is cranked incredibly high at certain points as Becky's web of lies starts to unravel. Really strong little series.

Starts off a little shaky but the last 2 eps of the season are some of the best TV ive watched all year. Jeremy Alan White is phenomenal and is giving off Dustin Hoffman in his prime energy. I only wish we got some more Bernthal. Feels like a perfect one season show.

Paul Rudd may be the most genuinely likeable dude on the planet. Even when he is playing a deadbeat kinda **** who doesn't appreciate his wonderful wife (the amazing Aisling Bea, who pretty much steals the show), we are still rooting for him. The sci-fi dramedy has had some fantastic entries this year (Undone and Russian Doll to name but two) and while LWY doesn't quite stack up against those two, its still hugely enjoyable and very bingeable. 8 half hour eps means its quick and easy to digest, but its brevity also means it feels somewhat rushed. An extra 2 eps I think would have benefited the show and given it time to build to a satisfying conclusion, which unfortunately it doesn't quite deliver. Nonetheless, 2 great lead performances (technically 3?) and a thought provoking story which can be digested easily in a weekend means Living With Yourself is an easy recommendation.

Its pretty good, if a little over the top and heavy handed. Weaver is really great, without a doubt the shows MVP. The rest of the cast is ok but the dialogue is sometimes pretty damn cringe, at times feeling like an episode of Law and Order SVU. But the procedural subject matter is intriguing, as is portraying the trauma **** victims are subject to, both during and after their assault. Its a worthwhile watch, but definitely could have used some more realistic dialogue and a more gritty tone.

S2 makes me question why the hell I liked S1 so much. Its that bad. Instead of interesting character arcs we get boring teen soap opera crap. It feels like a bad 90's Hallmark movie crossed with a Disney film. They really dumbed it down and tried to make it as accessible as possible to the mainstream. Any hint of an edge to the narrative is gone and its so PG13 and cheesey beyond belief. I struggled to make it through 5 eps before I threw in the towel.

Chris Lilley hit his peak with Summer Heights High, which was brilliant and a high water mark for Australian Comedy. Unfortunately he tried repeatedly to recreate the magic of that show to diminishing (and frankly embarrassing) returns, with the Jonah and J'aime spinoffs. Now he is basically admitting he has totally run out of fresh ideas by rehashing the concept of his 2005 show 'We can be heroes'. At this stage he is a bad Eddie Murphy wannabe, who thinks that dressing up in different costumes and doing funny voices is comedy. WCBH was average. This is a bad knock off of average. Honestly could not make it through the first episode it was that horrendous. Who in their right mind decided this should be a 10 ep, 40 minute show??? If you can make sit through 400 minutes of this crap I pity you. And question your sanity. Worst show of 2019 so far.

Ill be honest, I couldn't even make it through the first episode. Its bad. With so much great TV out at the moment, do not waste your time on this.

Yeah it's enjoyable enough, but something about this show really rubbed me the wrong way. So it's OK to treat people around you like **** if someone close to you has died recently? People do not behave this way in real life. You aren't a great wonderful person (as his dead wife repeats ad nauseum in those cheesy videos) and then turn into a bitter angry suicidal **** just because someone you loved is dead. Just rang very false to me. And the way the last episode turns him suddenly into an angel and everyone forgives him is awful. Its OK to threaten to murder a child as long as you buy them a new bike afterwards??? Ricky Gervais has some messed up ideas about humanity dude.

Thought the premise sounded weak but I was surprised how good this show was. Maya Erskine is the undisputed MVP of Pen15, she is phenomenal! Huge things in her future I'm sure. Not every episode hits the mark, but certain situations just feel real and authentic to both the growing pains of adolescence and to that 2000 era. Highly recommended.
