It's awesome but Yuji Naka's games always are - it's imaginative, magical, mysterious and has a great artstyle. My only real criticism is how the battle music often interrupts the level music. If it were me I'd reserve music changes for boss or mini boss battles.

I think it's pretty solid. Not as good as the first two but hey they changed developer, and on the plus side the multiplayer modes are actually far better than in FEAR 2 and possibly the original FEAR as well (although FEAR Combat is still excellent). Anyway, yeah really good fun overall. Storyline feels a bit cheap at times and it can be a bit repetitive, without the precision that is seen in the first and second games, but again there are upsides because the controls may actually be a bit better and the cover system is cool. Don't expect a FEAR 2 beater, but expect a solid, fun and memorable experience that you'll probably be tempted to return to and complete again, as I did twice :)

10/10. It's perfect. Saturn NiGHTS, remastered HD NiGHTS, Christmas NiGHTS, all looks breathtaking. Couldn't ask for more. If you haven't played before I would HIGHLY recommend it. And if you have, then this is the perfect version of a practically perfect game :)

Personally I loved it! Wonderful balance of social and action, with voice chat and lots of fun to be had. My second favourite MMO of all time, after Second Life. So yeah erm, top notch! These days it might not be worth it though because the servers are offline :( The offline modes are ok though, and there might be a private server soon!

My favourite game of all-time I think! Shenmue is pretty close though. Just a wonderful online social experience. I feel like it redefines MMORPG and provides an experience unlike anything else, where anything is possible and we can just hang out, explore, travel the world, fly amongst the stars, make new friends, fall in love, build worlds, literally anything you want, all from the comfort of your home PC. Breathtaking, and I can't wait for the new game from the creator of Second Life :)

One of my favourite games ever made. Intelligent, immersive, scary, graphically slick, a joy to play, just great. I've played it several times through including in the hardest difficulty mode and always love it. It's not quite worthy of a 10/10 as some sections can be a bit tedious, it's not a perfect game. But having said that it's easily in my top 10 games of all time and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror games or shooters, or who just feels like a good, solid, captivating gaming experience. In my opinion it is significantly superior to the original and to the third game, which I felt lacked the character and intelligence of this one.

Overall, Shenmue is without doubt in my opinion the finest game ever made. Quite how Shenmue 1 and 2 stack up to one another is unclear to me, as they are both breathtaking and outstanding in their own ways. It's simply magical. It's hard to truly do this game justice with words, but it is an immersive, exciting, poetic and captivating experience that you will most likely remember and take with you forever. Do yourself a favour and play Shenmue, you won't regret it!

Everything about this game is compelling and satisfying with quality and developer talent dripping from it. Imaginative, varied and fast-paced gameplay, captivating mission objectives and levels, great characters, amazing weapons, just an overall excellent game. The multiplayer is also great (for it's time, not sure about by modern standards as I haven't played it much recently!). As for flaws... some of the mission objectives aren't too clear. Some of the dialogue and story and stuff is a bit cheesy. Some of the levels are weaker than others (inevitably). Overall however, Perfect Dark is without doubt one of the finest games ever made

I actually find this game surprisingly fun. It's also pretty difficult to review I think. On the one hand, it's graphically a bit rough with a slightly choppy framerate, the gameplay is simple, the storyline is fairly simple, the enemies are a bit cheesy. On the other, it's actually very fun and captivating, with some eye-catching, challenging and highly enjoyable battles and stages, compelling and engaging level structure despite its simplicity, great supermoves, a memorable protagonist, and is overall a game that I played from start to finish without even planning to (I simply got hooked). It's a quality title. I just wish I knew why!!

I have to say, I really, REALLY enjoyed this game and it is probably my second favourite Sonic game EVER MADE. Why? 1) The characters and storyline are fantastic (save for perhaps the Elise and Sonic combination) 2) The levels are imaginative and intelligent Silver's are great as well. 3) The music is superlative. 4) Beautiful graphics. So... why only 8? Well, the game is simply unfinished. I think that's its largest flaw by far. It's like playing a beta version. If you can deal with bugs, then I think you'll enjoy it much more. The storyline also has some issues and Shadow's levels are a bit dull. Overall though only Sonic Adventure 2 tops this in the Sonic series in my opinion. A wasted opportunity, yes, and much less impressive than it SHOULD have been, but an unpolished diamond is still a diamond

Awesome fun truly a quality title with awe-inspiring visuals, great AI and enemies in general, wicked levels just quality! Love it highly recommended!

I am genuinely a little annoyed that people encouraged me to believe this game was poor for so long and deprived me of it! I love it! Now yes the character movement is slow, there is no jump and the cover system is a little clunky. But if you can't see past those THREE flaws then you don't deserve to call ****! Great levels, great music, awesome characters, great story, great multiplayer, I love it! Not as good as the first game but I think it's close! Loving it!

Thoroughly enjoyed this game! Ending was a bit fast but I'm not sure if that's because I completed it on normal difficulty. But yeah - unique, interesting, and stylish! Obviously not perfect and you have to take it on it's own terms and bear in mind it's history. Being a big fan of the previous game, I could appreciate every tweak, change, line, section and desire of the developers to do what they did! Some bits are truly amazing. Very rarely does it seriously disappoint, although the driving sections are a bit dull. Consistently a 7-8/10 in my book :)

Absolutely beautiful game that draws you in with incredible graphics, beautiful music, fun game mechanics... just... the word that springs to mind is "lush"! I found it like a more artistic-feeling World of Warcraft, focusing less on the raw combat and functionality and more on the art and beauty and FEEL of the game, which is something I appreciate very much in a game. An immersive and memorable experience. The combat/magic effects are also beautiful. If I were thinking of flaws, I would say the character movement isn't perfect, and it perhaps lacks the raw depth of WoW. It's really more about the atmosphere at least for me :)

Sheer quality. Exciting, fast-paced, well-designed... just an all-round brilliant and original shooter. Top stuff :) It's fairly easy on hardware too, and has a growing variety of game modes. The item purchasing system is a little strict, with items getting worn out after a while and having to be bought again (as I remember) but they need to eat somehow right - can't have us all playing for free all the time!! So yeah, very good game, thoroughly recommended!

Seriously cool and stylish little MMO with brilliant combat mechanics and an intuitive social element. MMOs could learn a lot from approaches like this :)

Underrated quality little MMO that presents one of the most engrossing social elements I have ever experienced in an online game. As odd as that sounds for a game that looks so simple! Proof that something doesn't have to be complex or flashy to be brilliant ^^

Great little game! Quaint, small download, easy to play, great social element, great battle mechanics. Gets tedious eventually but then all games do. Combat, to me, feels light years better than the vast majority of MMOs, as does the natural feel of the social element. Class! :)

Erm.. a bit of a mixed bag but overall uses the hardware incredibly well with an outstanding story mode and online play almost rivalling that of Phantasy Star Universe. My only real criticism is the relative lack of development of the raw gameplay and levels in Phantasy Star titles since Online in 2001, as the structure of the levels remains largely the same (room to room, door to door, fair predictable). However, a spectacular achievement on only a portable console and a very worthy addition to the series!

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Immersive, intelligent and with a gripping and involving storyline that makes you actually CARE about the characters and their fate. Not overwhelmingly scary on the whole, but I was completely hooked from start to finish and found myself wanting to play it more after it was done. Sadly however it seems to have quite little replay value. The multiplayer mode (2 player co-op) looks good though so I'll give that a blast soon!
