Need for Speed Unbound9

This game is the love child of Underground 2, Most Wanted 1 and Burnout Paradise. I really see what they did with it and appreciate it. It feels like an old school NFS game with modern influence. I really don't mind the graphic overlays. It adds character to the game. Drift could have been implemented better but after some tuning got a little easier. Love the cop chases. They get real challenging at high heat levels. Vehicle customisation is great. Graphics, sound and music are fantastic. A super enjoyable NFS game.

Killing hordes of zombies in FPS Invasion. Resupply crates dropped at a distance after each round. Building up a unit and finding strategic positions for them. Bullet drop for those long shots. What more can you ask for? There is no grind. The gameplay is simple and your unit is easy to manage. It's like first person tower defence. The simulator is a lot of fun too.

A thoroughly enjoyable and challenging, simple jet fighter game with air and ground targets. Great for quick sessions of flying around blowing stuff up with your mouse. It's a real gem that is easy to miss in the Steam store.

One of those special games that is so worth a play. You can jump in any time and play for a few minutes, or a few hours. The controls are great and the sound adds so much to the sensation of flying high in the sky.

The definitive sandbox sniper experience. Very satisfying game. Minor bugs that don't spoil the game. Would be great if you could switch off the wind indicator on the hardest dificulty. Made it too easy. I got over 50 hours achieving 100% on all maps and all Steam achievements.

Need for Speed10

I had to wait for a new graphics card to play as it runs on Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture. In my opinion, running on an average ADSL line, it's the best Need For Speed yet! I have played about 4 hours now and have no issues with latency or connectivity. This is true to it's roots Need For Speed. I'm running the graphics on Ultra and it looks and sounds amazing. Gameplay is very smooth and there is no frame loss on a my new gen card. Vehicle customization is epic and the best it's ever been, especially the performance upgrades. Don't expect big damage when you slam into obstacles because it's not a sim. Loading times are a little long but all in all a solid arcade style racer.

The Crew10

Absolutely brilliant! This game satisfies every racing game fan's need. Huge, detailed, drivable map of North America. A really solid story with great cutscenes. Great cars, detailed customisation options, multiple racing disciplines, cockpit view, great sounding engines, tough cop chases. What more could you ask for? The Crew takes racing fans back to their roots and satisfies pretty much everything we've been missing. The online experience is amazing. You can hook up with online players and take on missions together in co-op mode. The single player and online multiplayer experience is seamless. Play it your way. Single player all the way, as a crew or a bit of both. I picked up one major glitch during one of the races where all the cars hit an invisible wall and all our front wheels starting lifting off the ground. That was about it. After 24 hours of gameplay, only a few glitches and AI issues picked up, but acceptable. I am loving it and strongly recommend that you buy it. It is worth every cent.

It's a very tactical team-based shooter. Reminds me of the old school Rainbow Six games without the map waypoint strategy. The strategy happens real-time between players over the in-game VOIP system. You die and you're out. Your only chance at a respawn is your team mates making it to the next objective, else you all start at the beginning of the mission again. This forces one to play as a team, extremely carefully and strategically. The maps are well designed and very immersive with numerous routes to objectives. The AI is incredible! During my first game, I thought I was playing against players who were online. I also love the way the AI increases in number and difficulty as more players join your squad. The graphics are good enough and give a great all-round, authentic experience. Night missions are fantastic and very challenging. The surround sound with a gaming headset is awesome. One is able to spatially place sounds around one's self while playing, particularly moving enemies. This game is a must buy for FPS fans.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted3

This should have remained "A Criterion Game" (no Electronic Arts involvement) and should have been called Burnout Paradise 2. Besides absolutely stunning graphics, the game lacks everything a true NFS fan got excited about when they saw that NFS Most Wanted was coming. It is downright misleading and dishonest. The NFS franchise has just got worse by the title. Most of my gripes have been mentioned in other reviews already. I'm so disappointed!

You have to give this game (campaign mode) a chance to progress. It doesn't start off well and can put you off easily. The story is great and the gameplay improves immensely. The guns feel more real than any other game. The addition of some vehicle chase action added a welcome change to the game pace. I felt like I was playing Need For Speed. I really enjoyed that. Unfortunately, it is not a well polished game and at times felt like an arcade game, particularly gunning down well marked targets on the ground from a chopper. Overall, the story was moving and the game just got better as I played it. It does deserve a good score and it does deserve to be played.

I picked this up for 5USD on a Steam special. This game is exhilarating. I actually feel exhausted after 2 hours of gameplay. I moved in my chair so much and tensed my muscles constantly. I have never felt so scared falling in a game before. The graphics are spectacular, the sound and music are spot on and the gameplay is so well choreographed. It is worth the full price and I am sorry I never bought it earlier. I would love to see a v2 with fully textured environments. Go and get it!

Sniper: Ghost Warrior9

I read the reviews and as suggested, only bought the game when it was a Steam daily special for 5 USD. I played the game on normal difficulty and have to say that most of the reviews are misleading. This game is highly underrated. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It took me 9 hours to complete the single player game. The graphics are fantastic, but you will need a decent machine to play it on the higher settings. I did not experience any problems with AI over reacting. If you take your time, move slowly and stay hidden, you won't have any issues. If anything I must agree that the AI sometimes under reacts e.g. not getting a reaction from a guy when you have just taken down the guy standing next to him. There are many factors you have to consider when playing this game. Are you using a suppressor or will the AI hear your gun? Is the AI facing you when you make a dash across the path or road? Do you change position when your cover is blown? The quick save feature is very useful. I was caught a few times and after trying a different approach, managed to get through. I enjoyed the few missions where I had to use an assault rifle. It added a nice change to the game. The pistol and knife were useful in close quarters situations. I hardly used the grenades. I also enjoyed the mix of sniper rifles you get to play with. I loved the fact that you can shoot through small gaps in walls and fences as well as through vegetation. I have started the game again on hard difficulty, which has no assists and presents a whole new challenge. I can't wait! I would give the game a 10, but there were definitely a few issues with it. The game as a whole far outweighs the glitches and I highly recommend it to FPS gamers who enjoy the satisfaction of a successful sniper shot. It is definitely one of my favourites.
