Of all the story beats it has me watch, nothing sets up what matters and what is important to know. The presentation is so weird that nothing seems to matter, things I think will matter will just pop out of existence anyway. Traversal is terrible. What it wants you to do is so frustrating. You will fight the same 3 enemies for 30 hours. And those are the good ones. Then you'll fight other enemies that aren't good enough to be in any other video game. Like if I'm trying to figure out why my sister is a kaleidoscope, why would I care about fighting generic mold monsters for 4 hours. I like weird stuff, but I don't think the story played out in any way that was interesting or emotion engaging. And as a game it was frustrating and annoying.

ZERO ZERO. This game is garbage. Worst Souls ever. Garbage. There is no reason to play this. I wish I had a physical copy so I could smash it and throw it away. What a terrible game.

Excellent, gorgeous Metroid game. Amazing world to explore. Some annoyances, but very fun. Maybe the most streamlined linear Metroid game, but has a lot of time to explore freely. Some of the characters are annoying.

It's just chaos. No, it's not better than Mario Kart. That narrative is so weird. It's just constant nonsensical chaos. It's not satisfying. Most people won't understand what's going on. It is kind of fun, but really isn't as rewarding as racing game or as fun as a kart racer. It is way too spastic and visually out of control. It is very menu heavy and kind of joyless to play one track at a time with no gran prix

Good and fun. It is repetitive with very disembodied environments that don't really look like or represent anything. It's good, the punching mechanics are fun, but it kind of just does the intro. It is a lot like Mario Odyssey. I prefer Odyssey's levels.

Overwhelmingly beautiful masterpiece. Deep, mature, and brilliant the whole way through. So many moments that go beyond what I've experienced in games. Incredibly relevant writing and amazing exploration. Unique and grand in scale.

I love this game. It's so fun and crazy and unique and fast moving and interesting all the time. It's such a joy to play and there's nothing fully this creative and great. I really love it.

So good. I can't stop playing Elden Ring. It feels so great to play and there is so much to discover. It's one of the greatest games I have ever played. By far. Amazing. All time great.

My favorite game this year by far. So fun and adds so many unique ideas to the Souls style of game design. There is an immense depth to the weapon system by allowing you to combine weapon parts and movesets. The world is amazing to explore. It gets better. It's very difficult and also has paths to open up to find weakness for bosses.

One of the most frustrating games I have ever played. I absolutely hated my time trying to finish this game. BOTW was freeing by allowing you to explore an open world with more options, but this game feels stuck in quicksand, by slowing down your advancement through the game. Weapon degradation is far worse here and the solution is to make you take extra steps to fuse items which leads to more menus and less fluidity. Ultrahand is incredibly frustration. The game would've been much more enjoyable if the structures were already built to explore and ride lifts through the air and explore instead of awkward rotation to put together annoying pieces. Dialogue was horrendous. The text boxes were extremely slow and overly verbose without saying anything slightly interesting for an adult. The voice acting is very annoying childish. The intro keeps taking control out of your hands. The map is frustrating to explore, because you've already explored it and aren't gaining anything new. You're just redoing it. Again. But slower. I absolutely hate this game.

Amazingly fun and pure joy. Wonder takes some of the most original ideas of Super Mario World and completely goes above and beyond crafting idea after idea into new levels, new designs, new moments that just keep happening and rewarding you at light speed. Some of the recent 2D Mario games have felt a little fatiguing after completing a level, but Wonder is such a joy to play.

Update The game broke on me... I like mysterious and cryptic storytelling, but this starts off with no points of interest and doesn't go anywhere for hours. It's a huge design problem. You repeat the same areas in loops without learning anything time after time. Characters talk, but don't say anything interesting, or even allude to interesting clues or something to dig into and think about. They just say nothing to kind of withhold information. The acting is more for Remedy's entertainment than the player. The acting sequences are very poorly done. Control was much preferable being layered into the game much more interestingly and subtly.
