Pillars of Eternity8
Apr 9, 2015
A good game that will definitively remind you of the classic, nostalgic, Balders Gate days. Pillars of Eternity is one of the best examples of perfect story telling. It's almost like reading a fantastic book, it immerses you into the book making you want more. A chunk of the game is reading a book. When events happen it sometimes shows no gameplay, but rather has awesome sound effects and great writing. The story is pretty good, I haven't noticed any plot holes or anything around that nature, but it doesn't take the time to avoid the cliches that everybody just has to use. Example: Let's go hunt for no reason to show you how to play the game. Ahh!!! Ambush!!! Quick, kill em'! That was tough, let's go back to our camp. OH MY GOD! It's the all mighty bandit leader tough dude! Sweet talk him to let our camp leader go, or stomp his ace! See what I mean, it's annoying, but definitely not horrible. The combat I must say is pretty boring until later on. No real strategy towards it, besides having to slightly think where you want to put your players. Overall, it is a good game that needs to be played by fans of games like Wasteland 2 or Balders Gate.

The Sims 4: Get to Work7
Apr 8, 2015
This expansion made the Sims 4 worth buying in my opinion. It would of gotten a great 8 out of 10 if they had put a tad more time into it and made every job interactive, but the 3 jobs that they did do, are fantastic. Something we've all wanted for years we finally got a respectable version of it. One job has you starting at the bottom and working up till your a master detective. This was the first job I chose. It's actually pretty interesting. Each job has a bar that you have to fill up in one day to do the best performance you can. Do more tasks, fill the bar, easy. The tasks for a detective can get repetitive, but you have to look at it as this. You do the same crap over and over again in a real job in real life. Sure they could of added plenty more interesting events that goes on, but for me it's perfect. Soon you will be collecting evidence from a crime scene, then gathering your clues and setting up an APB. It's pretty cool that you get to interrogate the people you take in. You can be a good cop or a bad cop. It's basically the same thing around for the other two jobs, Scientist and Doctor. You work your way up by doing whatever. The big shiner for this DLC is definitely the choice to buy a retail store and sell items you make or buy for a higher price. It works great and is an addition I want in the next Sims game. Overall, GTW is a great expansion that filled my needs, but it being 40 dollars is up to you.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number2
Mar 13, 2015
There is no doubt that Hotline Miami 2 isn't a fun game, but it's a major disappointment. Hotline Miami 1 was so fast paced and fluid, Hotline Miami 2 is fast paced, but it's different. You no longer charge enemies at beat their head in. You now have to basically hide behind corners and lure enemies to you. It's just not as fun as Hotline Miami. It feels boring and just has zero replayability. The level design has also been pumped down WAY too much. Through the entire game, you will feel like you've been through here 5 times already. It's so disappointing to see that what made the first game stand out and what made it good was completely ripped out and traded for a more focused story. Honestly the story doesn't interest me at all! That's not what made me like Hotline Miami 1! I liked Hotline Miami 1 for it's unique levels and awesome gameplay. The story is okay. It touches up queasy subjects like **** and torture. Overall, Hotline Miami is not a bad game if you've never played the first one, but it is a HUGE disappointment if you have played the first one. If you haven't played either and you are interested, buy the first once. You most likely won't regret it.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim9
Mar 12, 2015
Skyrim is freaking awesome. It has a cool, interesting story with the old fashion, bizarre prisoner opening setting, tons of cool, slick, unique weapons and armor, tons of books to read filled with detailed lore, great skill tree, much improved UI over Oblivion, improved leveling, much faster paced combat, and much more. The reason I gave it a 9 is because the AI can be so poor that it could be hilarious or very frustrating. Their pretty stupid. They get lost, walk into walls, die all the time, ect.. You should also buy it on PC if you can run it, which you should be able to as recommend is a GTX 260 which is pretty low by todays standards. It's better on PC for mods and WAY, WAY faster loading screens. This game is an eight on consoles just because it has a pretty low framerate and super long loading screens. It's worth getting for any system, but I recommend on PC for the reasons I stated earlier. Skyrim isn't better than Morrowind, but it does lift a bar so high that no RPG has yet to raise further.

The Escapists6
Mar 12, 2015
The Escapists isn't a horrible game, but it's far from perfect. It being so repetitive, sometimes flat out boring, and difficult mechanics, it falls short. Yes, when you first start this game you will most likely say: "Woah! This is awesome!", but you will realize that this is the absolute same thing over and over again. You dig holes to escape, craw through vents, and thats about it.. The idea of this game is awesome, but it doesn't pull it off very well. It's worth to pick up at 5 or 10 dollars max. Fun for the first time, but then it's repetitive and boring.

Zombie Army Trilogy7
Mar 12, 2015
If you like slo-motion killcams and killing thousands of zombies for no reason and the adventure of a linear world than Zombie Army Trilogy is for you! Alright, this can be fun to play, especially with friends, but it's linear, very linear. Just like Sniper Elite III with zombies. Sniper Elite II was pretty cool. Much better than Sniper Elite III. Anyways, this has all the zombie games from the Sniper Elite series in one package. It adds a horde mode which has been done SO MANY TIMES. It doesn't spice it up at all either. It's just-- horde mode. Again, can be fun with friends. It does include 8 different characters to choose from. 4 males, 4 women. None of them have special ability's to make them stand out. Just different appearance. All in all, it's worth picking up for 20 dollars whether you play online or solo, it's kinda fun.

Dying Light7
Mar 12, 2015
Dying Light is made by the devs of Dead Island! Oh boy.... It's actually a blast playing with friends. The story is pretty poor, full of cliches, and predictable. The game can be unbelievably cheap, glitchy, and just flat out stupid, but with friends or random people, this game is hilariously fun! I would recommend this game for 30 dollars if you play with friends. If not, 20 dollars at the most for a singleplayer experience. It really is a poor game, but if you are looking to have fun with friends, pick it up cheap.

South Park: The Stick of Truth8
Mar 12, 2015
To enjoy South Park: The Stick of Truth you really have to enjoy the show, or else you will probably come into this game and leaving it saying "what the #%!$". It's humor is disgusting and crude, but very hilarious. The style will also throw you off a ton. It's like an oldschool RPG were the main characters name is ****! Yep! You may not be used to the "wait your turn" RPG style of this game, but the humor is hilarious and just a blast to play through. There are different loot you can find and buy. It really is a great game for fans of the TV show. It's pretty cheap nowadays, so do yourself a favor and buy this game.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War9
Mar 12, 2015
I fired this game up for the free PS4 game of the month and I saw it was made by Ubisoft. Oh boy.. This game is beautiful. The style is awesome. The game is emotional. It's a mix of action and puzzle solving in a way you've probably never seen before. It can be easy, but at times the puzzles are tricky. The mechanics aren't that great and they can hurt you in the puzzles. This game is really cool and emotional. It's very short, but the ride is worth it.

Cities: Skylines10
Mar 11, 2015
Do not get confused by the disliking of the other Cities games. This one feels like it is non related to those games. I don't know how they stepped their game up so fast, but this is the best city builder game out there. Cities XXL was nothing new from the meh Cities XL. Cities Skylines is a massive improvement. It's the city building game everyone has wanted for years. Sim City 2013 was a HUGE disappointment and Cities XXL was a money grabber. Cities Skylines is well worth the 30 dollars, even if it was priced at sixty it still is a great deal! This is the best city building game since Simcity 4. There is so much content in this game to keep you busy for a long time. I know people who have put 30 hours into this game and are still playing. Did I mention that it has mod support? There are over a 100 mods on the Steam Workshop already. Cool. You don't even need mods. I do recommend them though, as they add a lot to this game. The only thing wrong with this game is the tutorials. It doesn't explain anything very well, but I can't think of a city builder that does. A few bugs here and there. Nothing major or gamebreaking. Please buy this game and tell Paradox that this is what we expect next time! Do not screw us again with the Cities XXL crap!

Destiny0
Mar 4, 2015
Destiny is the biggest disappointment of 2014, maybe 13 too. I don't really see how people are comparing this game to Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 has a good story with funny writing, Destiny doesn't. Borderlands has a poop ton of unique weapons with a balanced loot system, Destiny doesn't. Borderlands has a ton of re playability, DESTINY DOES NOT. DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM HERE? I mean sure, you could call Borderlands 2 a grind. I mean, it pretty much is, but it's fun and easily rewarding no matter what you get. Destiny is a boring grind which takes WAY too long to get one decent gear. This game got horribly boring around level 9. The story absolutely ****. I can get over it, but MAN. You're telling me Bungie made this game? The creators of the old Halo? I am not a huge Halo fan, but at least it had a GOOD STORY. The story in Destiny like I said, ****. The game explains nothing. I don't remember anybody in this game. I will put all my money down that you won't either. Destiny is a big, BIG disappointment.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution9
Feb 28, 2015
Deus Ex Human Revolution is a great game. It is actually a confusing game to describe. It has so many elements to the game. It's a third person, first person, RPG, hacking, stealth, sci-fi, game. It's also does all of these elements better than I've seen in any other game. It really is a great game, with a surprisingly good, interesting story. I thought it would be very generic, but I was surprised on how adult and dark it was. The only thing that made this game a 9 instead of a 10 was the boss fights. It doesn't fit the game. At all. The first one is just ridiculous. I won't spoil anything, but it defiantly should of been left our or redone.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel6
Feb 25, 2015
BL The Pre-Sequel isn't a bad game, it's just not what we wanted. If you never played BL 2 you'll like this game. If you have, this game is nothing new and a bad setting.

Loadout4
Feb 20, 2015
The only thing that makes this game sort of stand out is the weapon crafting system. It's a cool feature that I would like to see in more games. Also the game play can be fun at first, but later on you will see that it is nothing new, done before and repetitive. This game is not F2P, it is nothing but micro transactions. You will have to pay to win. It ruins the game. The humor is disgusting, but funny. All in all, it's sad that this game was ruined by stale game play and micro transactions.

Apotheon6
Feb 19, 2015
Apotheon is a very unique game, that being said Greek games like this have been done a ton. *cough cough* God of War *cough cough*. This game is fun for a while, but the gameplay doesn't differ enough to keep me coming back to play it. The combat is plain and the controls are weird. The game doesn't hold up very well either, it crashed within 30 minutes on my PS4. If you can get over frequent crashes then your fine. Apotheon really doesn't hit the sweet spot for me. I don't really like the setting. If you like Greek storys, you will most likely get something out of this game.
