Starts strong, than, slowly but surely you start realize, how extremely annoying, repetitive, boring and with horrible game mechanics this game is. Utter crap. After 2/3 in story, I really, really started to absolutely hate this game.
Fall for the hype, now rue it very much. Absolutely don't understand why is everyone so hyped up about this game. Something to consider before you buy: - Don't let yourself fool by trailers and game plays videos, it's Souls Like game, so far most annoying one I ever played. It's not flashy combat game
- Movement feels laggy and clunky
- Story is like whatever, Zergs massacring Earth, whole plot is obvious, predictable, and something we already saw bazzillion times before
- Level design is frustrating and annoying as well. Its corridor like, with few forks here and there, but even so, almost every few minutes you have absolutely no idea where to go next
- "Open map" exploring is just empty, ugly desert, with randomly thrown enemies and boxes with.. yes, you guess right, one of bazzilion latex overalls
- Music is horrible, extremely short repeating loops of high pitched singing over, and over and over again
- platforming control is absolutely horrendous
- guess fun is supposed to be move infinite number of crates for "puzzles", to acquire 20th latex-like suit for your character
- Has most useless hint system I ever see in gaming history
- So far it's extremely, extremely frustrating experience, bellow average at best
- Sad to say, but this game probably really got it's fame cause looks of main protagonist, hardly for it's game play
- rating 3/10 at best, unless you really, really love jRPG style games or you are into hot overall collecting for hot female, stay away from this thing
- graphic looks nice at first look, but after very short time, everything starts to look the same and generic af
- longer I play it, more i hate it
Simple 10/10. Enjoyed every moment. Cant fathom how small indie studio could create something so great. For me 500% better than Skyrim or Oblivion in terms of game mechanics, exploring and fun. So many times I was wowod by this game.
As always, all heresy must be PURGED!! By the the Emperor's will!! Story telling is awesome, setting is awesome, everything with this game is awesome!489 hours in game and still kicking. Cant wait for next DLC. Combat and character building possibilities are great, if you don't mind spending hours understanding combat and learn by heart all talents and archetypes :-D There is tons of unique items with unique abilities, which add extra strong layer and flawour with plenty of possibilities.
You will feel like actual RoboCop :) This game has only one major flaw. As all good things, you have to reach end eventualy. :-(It's absolute blast. Loved every minute. It's so damn goodly done.
Dunno why there is so much hate for this game. For me, it was best Far Cry I played yet. Biggest problem from my perspective is, that worst part of the game is actually start and first half of story on plantation. Map is there bland, nothing interesting going on.. But more you play this game, the better it gets. Graphic on ultra HD textures is top notch, country looks amazing. There is so many beautiful places. Really loved it and enjoyed it. For many its controversy, but for me, this one was far supperrior to Far Cry 5 in many aspects.
This game feels like pre-pre Alfa build for something that could be grand.. Its extremely simple - primitive in every aspect. Ubisoft style repetitive no brain ultraboring quests over and over again. For 5 euro sale out its ok as no brainer relax shooter for tired people. Other than than that.. nah, not worth it.
It's 90 hours long interactive linear manga comics. Sorry, but I don't share the hype. One of best RPG ever made?? just.. no way guys. Its dragging like forever, combat is simple, boring, repetive and grindy af. Story is good, but its like reading a book. No impact from player what so ever. Characters are likeable, interesting. Its not bad game, but calling it RPG is just insult. Would be ok game if was 40-50 hours long. If you are CRPG player, dont even think about trying it, you would be extremely dissapointed and bored :-) (and shocked how some parts are so extremy weird (well, weird is even weak word as describtion))
Just... no. Slow, boring, fetch questing. AI of enemies is joke, just stupid bullet sponges, UI control for PC is absolutely terrible, chaotic, non-intuitive, redundant. Every time I'm like let's it a change, 10 minutes later I find myself dying from boredom.
Well. Would be ok game, for 10 Euro. For 70 Euro, it's joke. This game harvest just from it's name, hardly anyone would buy it otherwise. One run through main story campain is ok. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing interesting or fun in this game. As game released in 2005 would be fine. In 2023, it's not worth it at all. You know what gamers say. Once you Path of Exile, there is no turning back :-DDD
It's good, slow paced RPG. Definitely worth it. Just one thing, be prepare for WOKE, and lot, lot and lot of it. Male companions act and look like womans. Womans look and act like man. Right from beginning male companions are trying to have sex with your male hero. Over, over and over again even if you refuse them. I don't mind it once. But if Gale is trying to approach you for 4th time, well.. What is too much is too much.
I'm in love with this game I can only thank creators for creating it. I'm immersed, totally. Graphic is absolutely stunning. I'm awed how amazingly game looks every time i start it. Love how every single mercenary has his own strong personality, voice acting, unique in game lines and in game model (i like decision that you don't see donned armor, because you will just have same looking 6 grey figures on map in that case). Characters have hilarious reactions, every single NPC has great written personality and voice acting. Every NPC is unique and by far from tedious. Humor is raw, challenging every "be correct" topic of this decade but is not offensive and I love it. Only thing from giving it 10 out of 10 is combat and some in game balance. Some weapon types and game mechanics (mercenary training) are totally OP, others are practically useless compared to their counterparts. First 1/3 to half of the game is fun challenge, but after that you became so powerful, that even on highest difficulty you just wipe floor with everyone, hardly taking any damage. Unfortunately, AI of enemies is quite weak to be frank. Buy it, play it, you will love it.
Great game. Was avoiding it for long time, because I thought, it's just little bigger DLC. Boy was I wrong, There is sooo many points of interests and locations, it took me about 50 hours to explore and finish the game. Just go and play it, it's worth every minute. Only thing I didn't like much is color palete used, everything is just brown :D
As a new player, don't even bother trying this game unless you are masochist :D All you will experience is just instant deaths over and over again. And that's about it. Use your time anywhere else with anything else :-D Ofcourse, unless you have no family and life what so ever and you can throw away hundreds and hundreds of play hours. And ranked is not solution, because low rank games are filled with tons of youtubers "from novice to predator in 5 minutes" or "haha look how I own this poor noobs on smurf account".
Unfortunately, this game feels more like chore than fun. It's just run here, reload screen, run there, reload screen, back to Hogwarts, reload.. over and over and over again.. It's filled with repetitive MMORPG type quest like collect animals, gaze into stars from various locations, collect herbs, for hours run around Hogwarts and every hamlet collecting book pages, keys and flies for no real reason, cuddle your animals, collect rewards for cuddling, unnecessarily upgrade your gear from materials you get for cuddling... well, sorry, not my type of fun. I'm sure it has very special charm for everyone who loves Harry Potter world. For others.. well... combat is action paced, if you don't mind that you will be fighting with spider, humans, statues and trolls .. and that's about it ;( But combat is only 1/10 of the game time. Rest.. chooooore
Great game. Plenty of interesting ideas, great tactical combat, beautiful graphic, good enemis-story-factions. Definitely right step forward for x-com type games.
Great game. Go for it :-) had fun all the time. Combat is good, love how +1 weapon is deal. No crazy overpowered items + perks hoarding :D like this modest approach when you dont start with AC 10 and at the end of game you have 50-60 like in Pathfinder :D
I think this game does not deserve such hate it gets. Yes it has flaws, but in the end, can be quite fun. What I see as problem is that first quarter of the game is by far worst part. Beginning, running with your child, Berserker quests in Fort.. that all felt like a chore. But as game go on, dialogues and quests gets much better, some are even really funny. Story is really good, enjoyed that part as well. Combat is not perfect, but with ranged weapons its ok. Just shotgun your way uphill :D What I really hated most is part near end, where developers force you to kill about 400-500!!! enemies (no exaggeration, really, raw numbers). For example In one main story quest you have to take down about 200 - 250 robots. That's such cheap way how to make game look longer. I was so bored and annoyed. All in all, go for it if you like Gothic type games.
This game is fun. Combat system, character progression, recruiting new ones and building your keep is pretty good. It will keep you interested in playing even if game became little bit repetitive after some time.
This game is very, very underrated. Had fun from beginning to the end. Dialogs are great, your choices really matters and there is no road back once you made "wrong" one. Graphic looks great even now. I understand combat might be little bit of downfall fom someone, but for me, this game is not about combat. Really, really loved it.
Game is great and huge. I love how they manage to make every Act so different. It will take you more than hundread of hours to finish if you are completionist, talk with everyone, read everything.. Real deal breaker for me was turn base combat. Real time combat feels clunky and chaotic, characters chaotically run here and there, dying with no idea for you what is going on and I could not stand it for very long (even that's reason why i didn't finish KIngmaker). Turn base let you ponder every strategic decision, use whole variety of skills your characters posses. Takes much more time, but its much more fun and real DD experience. Fights are challenging and fun, just set your difficulty right :-)) Crusade management is much simplified over land management from Kingmaker and that's great news. Its bearable, but I would welcome possibility to skip this whole thing entirely. Considering how huge game is and how many decision you make which change entirely how game evolve, didn't encounter any quest or story related bugs. My crusade management didn't level up, but luckily was able to overcome it with some changes in my saves. (without that would not be able to finish the game). Story is good, companions are interesting, you have to do some tough decisions. If you like cRPG, definitely go for it.
Considered how old this game is, it still looks very good on PC. Act I is great, Act II is stil good, Act III and IV.. well are really bad. From great times in city, swamp or citadel, talking with NPC, getting know everyone, solving things, roaming around island.. to boring hack slash (has to kill droves of same enemis on every corner during "questing") and fetch this items direction, revealing really mundane (at best) and uninteresting story. After ACT I combat became more of inconvinience than fun. But, this game is still worth try, at least for those frist to acts :-)
For PC owners i recommend playing it on mouse/keyboard in first person perspective, using controller is unbearable. its much more easier and fun. Prepare yourself for very, very, very slow paced game.. If you can psychically take it, you gonna like this game :-)
Even though this game receive a lot hate, I got great times playing it and really enjoyed every single minute. Its great game once you free yourself from conviction that this game should use same game mechanics as in DA origins.
Simply put, combat in this game is SO TERRIBLE, that its kiling whole game. Literally. Could not force myself suffer from it more than couple of hours, in multiple tries. It's just so ... rigid, constant source of frustration. Big no no, and its pity. With better combat, it would be great game...
Start of the game is great, you really feel like one little speck in meet grinder called world. Fighting for survival, practically no one. Doing some low level gigs just to earn some eddies. it's all great, and than, ACT 1 ends and.. well. Magic is gone, you switch from another worthless piece of meet from street to Rambo style superhero, evaporating anyone just by looking at them. High tech Corpo soldiers with best military chrome available going against you in throngs. No problem bro, you just smash them to pulp in like 2 seconds. Those almost godlike untouchable Corpo bosses, fixers, anyone.. they just became clowns, easy to touch, no more aura of power or respect. That palpable aura of uncertainty, betrayal, feelings like no man.. this gig just can't end well which you get from act 1, gone. And that is really pity. But, game is still great, main quests are not bad at all. Got good times just roaming around city, doing this gig and that, smashing perpetrators in NCPD quests. Overall, game is good and definitely worth playing. Don't mind much that quest are linear, gigs are just like playing MMORPG, go there, kill everyone or sneak through, click on one computer/van/bag and don't care for whatever backstory is there, because in another 2 seconds that would not matter at all. Can be fun for some time, cause you are free to do it your way. Once you just sneak around, other time charge with katana or handgun. Character development is ok, you have plenty branches to specialize into. Biggest issue for me is that game is so extremely easy, even on hardest difficulty. There is no need for planning your character, improving weapons, trying to get best chrome or guns, because.. you can easily smash anyone with just white common pistol and no perks.. and that is by my opinion big missed opportunity how to make game even more enjoyable. I understand that on PC with mouse and keyboard playing FPS game is so much easier than on console with pad.. but there should be at least another 2 more options for game difficulty. Overall, give it a try, even if you would just go through main story. You wont be bored.
Even in 2021, I still love this game. For me, it has still very beautiful graphic, combat is solid and fun (but ofc, as in almost every RPG, hack and slash brute melee party with just one heal/support rules teh day...), there is variety of party you can try. Played this game to the end about 4times and in future gonna do it again, I'm sure of it :-)
Game is decent but with some hard flaws for me. After few missions combat starts to be extremely repetetive and uninteresting, even boring. Skill set of your characters is very limited, hate that move and shot once per round system.. and those misses.. those misses.. its practically rnJesus fest. move, fire, try if you hit, reload, repeat.. that's all what combat is about on higher difficulty. Another thing I really hate is that enemy spawning system. Its ridiculous. No more aliens roaming through map, clashing with your x-com fighters as they dig deeper on map. They just spawn when you move, which makes really stupid situations like when you move with your last guy when others already spend all their atcions and accidentaly trigger spawning of another cluster of 3 enemies. It just force you to minimalize your movevement during combat because no, you really dont wanna accidentally spawn another enemies :D And why the hell can't i escape to menu durring enemy turn, forcing me watch those slooow animations watch over and over even if I know its rnJesus reload time? Thats really grrr...
Really enjoyed this game. Lot of life improvements from Wasteland 2, like 100% skill checks, group looting, no water or gas on world map. Appreciate such things. This game has conversation with npc, but is very fighting heavy, you will spend 75-85% of time fighting, fighting and fighting. Luckily combat is done good, every weapon has its tactical use if used correctly. No.. its not only about assault rifles anymore ;))) oh.. and appreciated dialogs and humor as well in this game.
This game is absolutely phenomenal. Don't expect boringly annoying MMORPG quest style, bring me 10 of this, kill this or fetch this. Every quest has it's own background story to discover, you are like detective in amazing world uncovering it's secrets. And what's more important, you do want discover, because you actually care. You care for your companions, for every single NPC in game, for fate of whole Rivellon. You want help them in their suffering. Every choice does matter. Many times I was totally awed, saying to myself "WOW" in undertone. Literally. Plot twists, exceptionally entertaining combat which does not start to bore after a while (as in another games), nonrestrictive character creations where you can mould your party in anything you want, interesting world where you can wander however you want... This game is masterpiece from the start, to the end. Divinity sin 1 was great, his younger brother is three times better. Go and play this game! .-)
