What fun shootin bugs and bots. Comedy was everywhere too. Some amazing moments diving from bugs into the ship with my samples. Loved the graphics, sounds, gameplay and worlds. Ended up being unplayable with constant disconnections a month or two into release so it loses 3 points.
For the type of game it is, it gets everything right. What a load of fun from start to finish. Innovative game, epic maps, free updates, cracking soundtrack, can't fault it.
Had potential to be so much better. They probably waited too long to do a Japanese setting, especially since Ghost gets it so right. Honestly, I think I preferred Mirage. Reasons why I think the above:
- The combat isn't fun, its a lot of dodging and button mashing, especially with the armour and health of enemies. Why cant it be more fluid and rewarding if timing a nice counter?
- Noae's stealth can be so fun but sometimes she is spotted far too easily imo plus she is so weak when spotted.
- Yasuke can be some fun with his brute strength but his inability to move is annoying, even if that is meant to be the point.
- Traversal around the map is so annoying and tedious, constantly slipping down seemingly navigatable terrain and so much foilage, jeeez! I end up fast travelling everywhere.
- Some aspects to the story were good, but I couldn't get invested, I have no idea why to be honest, perhaps the slow and repetitive dialogue/missions, excessive and uninteresting characters? I just never got hooked.
- I also have no idea why we are playing as Noae and Yasuke, there is no modern day link with the Templar/Assassins?
- The constant find someone, kill them, there is barely any imagination. There were some good bits, the opening to the claws of awaji, the tea ceremony but it was few and far between.
- I miss the original formula of AC, stealth, interesting missions and captivating storyline rather than grinding levels to beat damage sponges.
Love europa, like the new story and the ability to wield the dark, enjoy the new generic changes and looking forward to the new raid. Bit concerning that the armour I've grinded after 2.0 to eventually be sunset, bit pointless to me.
Seeing a lot of hate for the story, yes it may not have been to everyones taste but, I thought it was good. However, i dont think it was perfect or close to it for that matter but, i dont think it is as bad as people make out. I do think it couldve been polished more (story wise). The ending was not satisfying for me, lacked any closure, perhaps thats what they wanted, who knows. Story 7.5/10 Nevertheless, story aside, the gameplay was amazing and captivating. The graphics are outstanding. The sounds and music are brilliant. Finally, the animation and the acting are amazing for a game, felt like watching a movie. Everything else 10/10 So i will give it an 9, if the story had the extra satisfaction it would be a 10.
An enhanced assassins creed origins with a good storyline, many quests, massive and well-crafted world and a great and beautiful setting od ancient greece! Lots of fun to be had in this game. Still prefer the original assassins creed games such as no. 2 so cannot give this any higher than an 8
The game has potential, I love the flying, mechanics and the world itself but for a looter shooter this lacks in any valuble loot, armor, skins and meaningful endgame. The volume of bugs and loading screens is painful. I have given a lower score than i would have because the lack of communication or clarity from bioware and any form of apology has veen visibly absent. They thought that with 1 or 2 years of development they could release an unfinished game and still get our money.
First of all, I don't think Forsaken warrants its price tag due to the fact that you have to own DLC 1 and 2 and the combined total is more than the base destiny 2 game. However, this is a step in the right direction as forsaken is what most destiny fans have been waiting for. It has so much more than DLC 1 and 2 which very much lacked in content. New enemies, engaging story, new location, loot, levels, supers, game modes (gambit is amazing) and tweaks which have made the game worth the grind a bit more such as the new infusion system and collections. One of the only negatives is the powerful engrams sometimes drop with no improvement to power level. In conclusion a step forward.. let's hope they don't take one step back in the future.
What a game! Credit is due to the producers because not only is the story gripping it is original as well. From the fantastic soundtrack to the wonderful scenery and textures this game is a straight 10/10. The gameplay is unique, challenging and incredibly fun. This is well worth the money and I am pleased they did not try and rinse us. I am looking forward to the DLC and hope it adds to this great game. Really hope they don't spoil it with a rushed sequel though
