I never say this, but I'll make an exception for this game. Cory in the House is an absolute masterpiece. A pinnacle of human achievement and a true testament to art. They don't make them like they used to.

Another bad game by Mistwalker. These guys just can't stop missing. It's like the director is more obsessed with trying to chase his old fame with western audiences than actually making a good game.

This is the best game Square has ever produced. It is unbelievable what they managed to accomplish here. I'm hoping all the best for this dev team that the final installment will be another roaring success.

Fantastic game in almost every way. Easily one of the best action RPGs ever made and one of the most visually impressive games in the 8th generation.

Very good game. One of the best I've ever played. Oh and don't bother with the DLC. They ruin this game's perfect ending.

This is the worst game I've ever played. Literally everything about it is terrible. The graphics are ugly as sin. The OST was phoned in by Uematsu, none of the tracks in this game evoke any of the feeling of classic Final Fantasy which I thought was supposed to be the point of hiring him. The writing is horrendous, for the most part. There are these short stories you unlock throughout the game and they feel like they were written by a completely different person. They actually have poise and nuance, something the actual game's story is completely devoid of. The gameplay is terrible to match. You didn't miss out on anything when this game bombed commercially. It's sad when the best part of the game isn't even in the game itself.

Pretty good. Really interesting world building and great cast of characters.

This is easily the most overrated RPG of all time. Mind numbing cover shooter based combat, idiotic dialogue system where none of your choices matter and you're forced into a path from the very beginning if you want to fully benefit from paragon/renegade points or whatever they're called. Super lazy side quests, awful writing that pretends to be more mature than it really is, droll overused companion system where they swear their unyielding allegiance to you after exhausting their dialogue options. Most of the game is literally just pointless boring side quests disguised as a main quest. I couldn't finish it. I'm glad WRPGs have been in rapid decline and people are realizing how terrible these games actually are.

This is easily the best and most unique game on the PS4. The protagonist is extremely likable and I only want the best for her. Super fun gravity controlling mechanic and the devs went all in by also building a whole world with deep lore to accompany the gameplay. I was very sad to hear the studio closed down, but at least they managed to finish Kat's story.

A great game with a fantastic battle system and a unique time limit mechanic that actually makes the story mean something mechanically and makes this game stand out amongst a sea of overrated mediocrity. PC port's performance is bound to your CPU though, so if you have a laptop, you won't be hitting 60 FPS outside of dungeons.

This game was extremely fun. Needing to manage my time because of the doom clock made the looming end of the world threat actually mean something unlike in most other games where the final boss will patiently wait for you to finish side quests. I wish more games took risks like this one.

Not as good as XIII or Lightning Returns, but still a very fun game. The soundtrack in this particular entry absolutely slaps and being able to recruit monsters from the previous game is some nice fan service.

Pretty good game. The battle system is awesome and the characters are extremely well designed. This PC port is pretty bad though. Fortunately it can be mostly fixed with a fan mod but a company like Square Enix shouldn't be relying on the community to fix their ports.

Interesting ideas, poor execution. Trying to play this "game" made me want to fall asleep.

I was really enjoying it until they made me replay through every single chapter again and fight almost every boss again as Dante. And then you have to fight every boss again again as Nero near the end. And then you have to do it all over again on hard mode.

Absolutely fantastic. By far my favorite entry in the franchise to date. Great characters with memorable designs, the peak of the signature ATB system, intuitive combat system, gorgeous graphics that still hold up, incredible soundtrack that I could listen to for hours, and a wonderful story that left me wanting for more. Highly recommended.
