Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora8
Jan 1, 2024
I would give it an 8.5 if I could. It’s a beautiful game that can be tense during combat but I have no issue exploring Pandora to find of side activities. I’ve read that it’s like an Avatar Far Cry but I don’t think that gives it justice. It’s a true Avatar game and it has some uniquer features. I really enjoy the game and am looking forward to the DLCs. One complaint I do have is in the first few hours the game doesn’t explain some actions very well or mission objectives or locations if you use explorer mode.

It’s not as bad as most of these review bombers are saying. I’m really enjoying it. I gave it an 8 to help cancel them but at the moment it’s probably a 7. The biggest issue I see is the fps being 30 and even dipping at times. For a AAA game it’s not acceptable. I know they said it was due to Xbox specs but if that’s the case then find an alternative. PS5 shouldn’t be penalized for Xbox crap. It’s a fun game and has a lot to explore and side activities to do. It’s not an Arkham game but I like the formula. I don’t know if it will hold true in time and I hope dlc’s or some sort of additional villains can be added in the future but at the moment the biggest hold back of this game is the fps.

It’s a gorgeous game. The combat is exciting and the story is engaging. There are multiple reasons to buy this game and spend hours playing. Web-slinging for the most part is smooth with the exception of a few stutters every now and then. The story deviates from the comics for the most part which I’m extremely happy with but there really are no surprises. Two topics I think the game could have improved on is meaningful story engaged side missions. There are a couple but I think they could have added a ton of characters from the comics but I guess they need to save something for the next one. I would have liked to see some missions that require choice and consequences. The next is boss fights. This beats Arkham knight since there actually are boss fights but they could have been a little more difficult and last a little longer. I won’t spoil anything but they could of had more.

I am against microtransactions in games if you need it to beat the game. That being said this is not the case for this game. People say it’s hard but I find it challenging which is what I look for in a game. This game has significantly improved since the first game. The nemesis system and the smooth combat make it worth playing. The story is better than the first one but I few this is where it’s downfall is. I enjoy a good engaging story where character are around for awhile and you get to know them. Character development falls short. In my opinion if you enjoyed the first one this is a must play game. You don’t NEED to purchase any loot boxes to beat this game. They offer multiple upgrades and I’m unsure why they are even there except for people who just like to have every item in a game.

This game is fantastic. I don't get how people gave it a zero. It must be all XBOX One users or employees. I was a little worried about the storyline for this game but I have to say it is one of the most original and intriguing stories in a game that I have played in awhile. The graphics are beautiful and the frame rate never seems to drop. I wish all games would have stories as good as this one. The only issues I would say are some side quests don't have enough story to them. In the Witcher 3 they were more in depth and you go to know the characters more. I wish they could have put more writing into this. The second issue was the collectible rewards aren't great except for one. I would def play a second one and I look forward to it.

Final Fantasy XV8

I really enjoyed playing this game and I found it to be a lot of fun and I love the fighting style. The game is beautiful and unique although when I think of a Final Fantasy game I think **** intriguing story. This came close but it could have been so much better. The first 3/4 of the game are leveling up and the real story isn't until the last 1/4 if even that. It could easily be only the last 2 hours really. Also the worst part of this game is how easy it is. With a game such as Final Fantasy I remember a true challenge but this didn't cut it. I think they made it easy to engage all ages but I was only a kid when I played FFVII and it was such an accomplishment to beat but with this game I felt empty after defeating the final boss. Hope they have a DLC like to witcher 3 for leveling. I will play it again when all DLCs are out.

I don't get the hype for this game. Its very bland and boring. The animation for the kills is the only enjoyable part. I find it way to repetitive with no real objective. It can be summed up by search for loot, sneak, or just kill everyone. Not much more to it than that. I played for a few hours thinking by leveling up it would be more enjoyable but now I'm upset that I just wasted my time. Many other titles worth the money and time. I don't plan on finishing it but rather to sell it tomorrow.
