A very unique IP in how it tells it's story, it's artistic design, and also it's core gameplay. Movement in this game once you get it down, is more fun than Spider-Man even. While the side quests leave a lot to be desired, the main story is interesting, and the game REALLY picks up post credits (1), when you still have multiple hours left of game. First off: this game has some of the most endearing and charming main characters in the video game industry, you'll fall for Kat as a character very quickly. While there is some rough edges, this game has some of the best boss fights in the entire generation. Both of the 1st post credit bosses make you fee like you're in an anime tbh, the first from it's sure spectacle and everything, and the last because it is so emotionally resonate and hype asf) There is a lot to enjoy up to them, the first "Final boss" is actually pretty damn cool and has a very messed up design, there is a very charming cast, etc. Overall, worth owning and having in your collection. The 0-3 reviewers seem to be fanboys or **** while not a perfect game, it's hyper charming, and easily ranks in the 80's or 90's. I would suggest you play gravity rush remasters (ps4) first though. This is a continuation.

Let's preface this review with the fact that the main story-line is stellar. The voice acting is great, the polish is great, the spectacle is great, the writing is well done, etc etc. Why give this game a 7/10 then? Well because that is a small portion of the game, maybe like 10 hours of the whole 20-30 hours is done on the main story. So what is the rest of the game? Swinging from point to point (which while fun at first, becomes kind of a chore later in the game), and most of all: doing ubisoft levels of boring side content to get currency to buy new suits, tech improvement, and perks. These are anything from taking pics of spots, random challenges which flood the area, random crimes (which are super repetitive and you need to do like 160+ to platinum the game), the dreadfully boring science missions, and side quests that ultimately have you do more of the same that you're doing with the other side content. Out of all the side stuff, I enjoyed one single thing, that was the tombstone side quest, and that was because it felt like a main story segment, while also being quick and to the point. Also it had one of the more epic boss fights and enemies in the game as a conclusion. It was the taskmaster quest, with a much cooler boss fight, and without all the boring grind to get to that point. Overall I'm just glad I'm done with the games, I'll buy the dlc when they go on sale for cheap enough and I don't have too many other things on the sale that I want, but the atrocious side content needs to be hit on if we are to get a better game with it's likely sequel: a creator of content won't improve something that they think is broken. Main story-line: 8 or 9 but super short. Side content: 4/10 Honestly I'm being generous not giving this game a 6/10

100+ hour amazing RPG. Innovates and speeds up turn based to bring it to the modern age. Very thoughtful on what moves to use, but also simple enough to be picked up by a noob. Great dungeon (palace) design, great artistic design, etc etc. Dungeons have you doing a mix of puzzles, stealth (very simple and stylish), and doing your turn based combat. The game has more gorgeous menus than what most games have in their entire game. Oh right, and it's not just a dungeon crawler, it's a life management sim where you foster relationships (and try to bang the teacher), built up your confidence, intelligence, etc, and also just get immersed into the world. One of the best games of all times, you owe it to yourself to play it now. It has a slow start cuz of a long tutorial though.

If I didn't give a game like this or Persona 5 a 10/10, it'd be a pretty useless number while reviewing, one of my favorite games of the modern age of gaming. Great characters, great writing, quality content, super long to give it more value, some of the best side-quests in gaming (coined substories), unique combat that is simple but has depth when you actually level it up and understand it better, etc etc. Characters = everyone, including henchman of bad guys are believable/have their own motiviations, even comedy based substory characters. Writing = Melodramatic but is an extremely interesting story that is competently written, better than a lot of games that get unwarranted praise for their writing. Quality Content = A lot of meaningful content, from stuff like karaoke, to a whole game related to running a hostess club, etc etc. Not only is the story lengthy and interesting/hype, the side content is worth doing. This includes substories which range from touching, to hilarious wackiness (done right) Combat is 3d beat em up where you do combos, but also have stuff like heat actions, heat bars, parries, iframes, having to dance around many opponents who aren't going to attack you one at a time, weapons, changing stances, etc etc. Just an amazing game that everyone should try, just know that it has as low start.

Flying is fun for a few minutes but gets old because the game is essentially a giant fetch quest. That's where the good ends. Gun-play doesn't feel right, content is massively repetitive, horrible loading screens, boring map design, mediocre characters/"dialogue options" that don't amount to anything. Don't give me the "they'll fix it", that's a cop-out and isn't an excuse. This game is unfinished, boring, and there are free to play games out there that beat it.

I typically don't like puzzle games but VR changes that, and this is a solid puzzle action platformer in VR. You direct by aiming and pointing where you want the character go and have surprisingly good control despite this strange way of control. Each level has a boss that is unique, difficult, and fun to battle. (albeit a bit upsetting until you beat it) Each level adds next elements to the puzzles that you have to use to deal with the obstacles that are in front of you, checkpoints are generous and you are right back into the action almost right away. The game is multiple hours to play through and seems like a pretty easy to achieve platinum that just involves doing a few things that don't seem too difficult, beating the game, and then collecting enough coins to get the 4-5 costumes you can put on the girl. The Greek song that is the soundtrack of this game is 100% as catchy as can be, if I was a bigger dork I'd say something like "toe tapping". (I am a dork, just not big enough to say that) Overall it's a solid and interesting game that if you have a VR headset, you should absolutely have in your collection to play, it's also just a very charming game.

Best VR roller coaster game. Pretty much like bringing home one of those theme park point shooters. Pretty much like a haunted house that you can go into whenever you want or show your friends except bigger and better. Solid shooter. Amazing horror and level diversity. I absolutely want a sequel, a great game that is surprisingly nausea friendly for beginners who haven't gained their VR legs yet.

Non VR: 8/10 VR: 10/10 (immersion is huge, look to aim, looking around corners, etc) Split the difference. The level design of Resident Evil 7 is exceptional, meaningful item placement and levels you'll run over a few times and get used to. The bosses who stalk you throughout the game are very charismatic, intimidating, and unique from each other. The boss fights itself are also good and do some interesting things. The regular mobs are the same (like 3-4 types) but they are serviceable. Has replay values through unlock-ables, speed run (beating the game in a certain amount gives you an unlock-able), higher difficulties, and just the sheer quality of the game (especially in VR) Go in blind, if it's too scary in VR then alternate with a friend irl, and enjoy one of the best games of 2017, along with the best resident evil game to date (in VR)

A game that has a more confusing story than it's generic title suggests. Most of the scares you will get in this game are from unplanned sequences where you just happen to be in a bad position and something randomly happens As a horror game I wasn't scared too often, as a mechanical game, it is very fun and offers depth to decisions. It is advised that you put restrictions on yourself like having to kill the bosses in specific ways that are mentioned in the titles if you want to feel more of a rush and urgency, which this game does quite often. The game is a solid experience and is worth having in your library no matter how you view it, really giving you a sense of not fear, but suspense that fills the levels. This game is much better than most give it credit for, although go in knowing that it's slower than shooters and that stealth is very important in it. Once you master the techniques of the game that allow you to do more than simply knife killing and shooting everything, you'll start to feel much more comfortable. The length of the game is solid, not dragging on for too long with the same stuff but also not being a waste of money with how short the game is, overall the game isn't a perfect 10/10, but it's better than most others.
