This extremely well-crafted movie is not told in the usual linear fashion. Instead it alternates points of view to tell the complete and engrossing tale of several patrons at the El Royale hotel. It's a bit confusing at first, but the style enhances the mysteries surrounding the characers and the ending richly rewards patient viewers. Every character is believable and you feel like you're transported in time to observe the incredible events and history of the hotel and its patrons. Overall, a very satisfying experience and well worth your time and money.

This is a fun and entertaining movie! The script, acting, and effects are well done and the story has lots of humor interspersed with symbiote violence. Tom Hardy turns in his usual stellar performance as a down-on-his-luck reporter who stumbles upon an interstellar plot and becomes host for Venom. Mayhem ensues and I feel it pays homage to the comics while introducing a wider audience to this excellent anti-hero.

This is a very exciting and entertaining sub movie. Gerard Butler does an excellent job playing a submarine commander, taking his boat and crew into extreme danger and staying cool and collected throughout. Toss in some SEALs and a rescue mission on a Russian naval base, and you're in for a good ride. The cast does a great job overall and while the technical aspects aren't based in reality, only a veteran will likely know the difference. This is a fun movie to watch and I highly recommend it!

108 minutes of trash-talking, katana-slashing Deadpool goodness! Ryan Reynolds is perfectly cast and the laughs roll from the beginning credits all the way to the end. Stick around for a bonus scene and enjoy the great soundtrack in the meantime. This is just a FUN movie and I look forward to owning it.

A suspenseful murder mystery set in the old west with the usual Tarantino twists. It's got snappy dialogue and engrossing characters. The story is good enough that I really didn't notice the 3 hour runtime, although the intermission was welcome to stretch a bit. I saw the 70mm Roadshow and HIGHLY recommend this version if you're near a theatre showing it. The entire frame is crisp with none of the slight blurring around the edges typical of modern film and the panoramic shots are breathtaking. This is just a good old-fashioned movie and is very well made!

Just another Star Wars remake, right down to rescuing a damsel in distress from a Death Star knockoff. The characters were not convincing, which I pin more on the script than the acting, and the entire film seems rushed. It's good for small children or those who've never seen the original trilogy and don't know any better.
