Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel7
Oct 16, 2014
Underwhelming but great. There's not much new here and to be honest it's a bit ugly to look at (I'm playing on Max) compared to Borderlands 2. The characters are awesome, it's sweet that you can play as Claptrap and the theme is as charming as ever, it just doesn't offer much new,

A great Legacy of Kain themed online third person arena game that has a few minor bugs that will probably be smoothed out as long as development continues on Square Enixs' part.

Never have I judged a game on it's poor technical performance. This game is great, but it runs **** terribly. Nobody cares if it plays well on your expensive rig, good for you.

Alien: Isolation6

An ambitious but underwhelming piece of work. It sticks to the roots of Alien and at times this is absolute nostalgic genius. But once the atmosphere sinks in place you're left with a very average drawn out experience. .

Never played the first. Jumped straight into this and OMG I loved it. People are saying the first is better, guess what then? I'm in for a treat as playing this backwards may have been the best decision in my gaming lifetime.

Injustice: Gods Among Us - Ultimate Edition8

Fantastic game. Beautiful graphics and despite what professional reviewers have said, the story is friggen AWESOME and the characters are amazing! Mortal Kombat 9 fans will feel right at home with an array of new characters. You'll want a fast processor for this game as it is locked to 60fps and any dips cause the gameplay itself so slow to the frame rate, so 30fps = slow motion. The shadow setting takes the hardest toll on your CPU so lower that if you get slowdown!

Great game, horrible performance, steep requirements. Most people complain about the games driving, not me it's nothing revolutionary but it does the trick. Pretty game to look at if you have the right hardware, deep and engaging storyline, protagonist is intriguing. The hacking isn't perfect but it works and gives you a real sense of control. The open-world seems a little similar to GTA IV just denser and it's fitting for the game.

It's not bad but it's not good, in fact at this stage it's a rather pointless/plot-less game with annoying enemies to grind through and hackers ending your fun in the blink of an eye. But sometimes while walking through the baron wasteland I found myself immersed The graphics are fantastic and the games a real treat for the eye, it just needs more backbone, a lot more backbone. This isn't WarZ 2.0, it's nothing like WarZ/Infestation, this has potential and the latter doesn't.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark6

The first game was amazing, the second was a bit of a step back, this is a leap back. The physics both in-game and scripted look horrible, the graphics are bland. I'v never generalised a game so much, Underneath all that rust are glimpses of what made the first game fantastic both off and online. Extra points for huge customisation but that's the only cool thing I can point out. The story, my god the Autobots are in twubble again. Kill me.

It's a fantastic game. It's more barebones than AC4 as expected BUT the price reflects this. You get to explore the tale of a completely new character and in my opinion the graphics really impressed me as i didn't expect A+ polish, I expected a HD PS Vita game.

Disappointing. Shocking use of CryEngine 3 backed by very, very average FPS gameplay. Couple it with a horrible web style interface that tries to mimics EA's success with battlelog. The graphics are impressive, once you get past that you shoot people and level, it's just not as fun as other games that already do that.

Deadly Premonition6

A bad port of an otherwise good yet weird as hell game. I found myself disconnected yet intrigued by this oddly played out adventure. The graphics range from last generation to current generation across the whole board with character models being highlights and foliage being the low, and I mean LOW points. No options, weird input style with not controller support despite the obvious console copy and paste.

Lo Wang is hilarious and I really like the combo system in place for doing special moves while your sword is out. The storyline is cheesy but it fits the personality of Wang perfectly, especially when you find out after listening to "The Touch" and joining in as well that you are to offer money for a blade.

It's fun. Sit around the computer at get drunk fun. But before that is a lot of time wasted and plenty of frustration to accommodate the experience to an average level at best.

2 hours into the game, it's been a real blast. The content in terms of price is overwhelming. If you like Don't Starve, with a bit of zombie shooter gameplay be sure to try it out.
