For a reason this is my all-time favorite movie so far; I will get to that later. However though, I can understand the medium critics. This movie is by far not as heart-warming and binding as the first one and I'd even say the story is a little lesser interesting. Objectively, this movie is outstanding with it's effects and overall charme and it has legitimately become one of a movie classic. With the characteristic acting of Michael J. Fox and the character trades within the relations of each of the protagonists to each other, at first this movie is a good drama and family story. But there comes the trouble: Time-Travel dilemma, which is the reason I like this one best. It's a known thing that time travel IS theoretically possible and everyone has heard about the paradoxes going along with the imagination. The thing about this philosphy is, that as past is left behind us already makes it easier for one to see himself in the future, as future is always yet to change. And that's exactly the strength of that movie, giving fictional proof that minimal changes can cause an entire different outcome. As the first movie is a told story that would make you think but stay on distance, this one allows you to reflect yourself and think about the decisions you made and make and how they affected you and will affect you. Now where 2015 is gone and with it our hopes of flying cars, it's still nice to see how people 30 years before thought it would look then. And who knows, maybe some event in the past could have caused the future we see here? And that's the point. This movie re-creates the real world beyond our imagination, because unlike the past, we are a part of the future and we can change it directly.

My thoughts about The Mummy from 2017 are quite negative. As I really like the series and the first Mummy movies that appeared where very okay, this one failed for me. Sadly it seems to be a phenomenon frequently seen on remakes or franchise additions and in the case of the Mummy I should honestly have expected. Even though the metascore was already low during release, I got fooled by the trailer promising an exciting and interesting, slightly scary story as the first movie had, it didn't take long to realise that one Mummy would fail getting up to that. The big complaint about that movie that I have is simply that it is trying to be to much things at the same time. There are a lot of elements in it which are interesting for the moment they appear but in the end unimportant for the story at all. It seems to be so that the movie was cut to fit the bright audience interests, but that would totally not have been neccessarry. Even though the setting and plot seem very great at first, they are predictable, though, but good, in my opinion they have been used the wrong way, as the plot becomes worse and worse as the movie progresses solely because they tried to add more and more content, characters and backstory. If this movie would have stayed at the principles of simplism and been orientated more on the original series and not on other movies, it could have been a way more enjoyable work overall. As it currently is, it is too much of it all. But that does not mean that The Mummy is a bad movie, it's just not good and that's why my scores seems reasonable.

It's hard for me to comprehend the amount of rather medium good feedback on this movie, which I'd still count to one of my favorites. What I like so much about CHAPPIE is that the movie is a take on a precise vision on artificial intelligence and what massive dangers go along. Maybe my personal interests, hopes and worries are distracting me but what can be seen at this piece of cinematic creation should not just be handled without care, as machines can potentially become a real thread to humans one day, so this movie moral currently seems quite underated. However the philosophy, even the movie itself is interesting and exciting most the time. I dislike the main conflict, as it is nothing new and especially not exciting at all, but for me following the story of an inhuman child was very fascinating. The story has certain points giving you a feeling of unsafety and other where the viewer will be asured for something good to happen soon, as he/she will learn to somehow get in touch with CHAPPIE himself/herself and after being done watching this movie it will stay in your thoughts for a long amount of time, at least that happened to me. The general elaboration is very actionish, basically this film is shootings, violence and some plot in between. Even though I am usually opposed to that themes, it didn't quite disturb me as for CHAPPIE, where the situation of some kind of mental war was enforced to that showing of direct power. Overall I really enjoyed CHAPPIE and I can not say often enough that this movie was to rule my thoughts and still has influence on how I think about robotic technology, as how I see it the backgrounds of the movie are not as groundless as they might think at first and the visual content appears quite dystopic, but yet somewhat plausible and that's what fascinated me the most about that movie, I do really recommend to fans of Science fiction.

Not only this movie is a kind of a solid element among the classics of sci-fi genre and considered a must-see for a lot of reasons, what I can agree with is that this movie is to make you think, even when it's been a whole while after you seen it; this will stay in your head. It is the topic, the idea, yeah, I call it philosophy behind THE MATRIX. That one thought everything we call our "reality" could for real be fake, nothing more than a simulation being projected into our heads is at the same time insanely fascinating and extraordinary frightening. It's a thesis already know to modern science and in the Matrix it's very well expressed, wrapped into an interesting fassade, which is obscure enough to make it exiting and clear enough to not get you lost in confusion. It's exciting, overwhelming and keeps you hooked until the ending. Also the visual effects, the music and certain scenarios are characteristic and will ever be associated with what The Matrix is. The only reason for me not rating it all 10 points is that as a movie itself, when leaving the message and the idea behind it aside for a second, this was nothing to blow me off. There was nothing very much not being seen among elsewhere within the genre and the plot development isn't any special either. So as I said, if you are into philosophy, this is one of the movies to watch. For a genre enthusiast The Matrix is a solid expereince, which is worth watching, but probably not very astonishing.

The original Spider-Man movie has in my eyes what all the new Marvel and especially DC movies are lacking of nowadys: Lovable characters, reasonable depth and emotion. Sure, this one is by far not as much stuffed with action and effects as others, but exactly that's it what makes Spider-Man so sympathic to me. The atmosphere is pretty sad most the runtime and for the first time I could relate to the actors or at least to their roles, which are from my point of view well casted and more importantly feel with them. This movie didn't make me cry and neither laugh, but it's quite remarkable to have some calm moments in times of evil needing to be defeated. Unlike many other superficial action and especially super hero movies, this one was to stay in my memory long time after and for sure this one has one of the most important voicelines to start with. I am very pleased this movie is there and I wish for many of the upcoming Super Hero series to take Spider-Man as an example for how they should be made.

I am not quite a fan of Super Hero movies, but this one one for me was quite interesting. While I didn't care much about the story, the general idea and ingenious and pretty well executed. Overall, this movie is a mixture between violent action, "**** of age and some partially explicit comedy, while the last aspect is the thing I liked about it. The protagonist did a very good job and the breaking of the so called "fourth wall" provides the charme of something strange, supernatural power, like the "errors in the matrix" was going on all the time while watching. All in all, this movie is not overwhelmingly great, but it surely is an interesting change to the else rather momotonous action genre. The reason for me deciding to give 7 points is the amount of porn, which is surely a part of Deadpools humour, but for the story it's irrelevant, so I wish they would have left out the suggestive scenes. It's probably my personal view on it, but they kind of destroyed the movie's seriousness from certain point.

It's quite a pity to see this movie as an adaption to the infamous video game series, as this movie fails to provide the tension the games did already a few years back. I can not quite understand the destructive score the critics used to rate it, but I can agree that this movie truly isn't good. The story is unclear and leaves so many gaps that there isn't space for good moments somewhere in between. The acting is merely oky, but not more and the ending is very disappointing. In respect to the video games this movie is a shame, but for someone who doesn't know the games' plot this movie won't probably make sense. But the worst part of it is that at all points this movie completely fails to scare the viewer. There is nothing obscure enough, other than the background story, maybe, to build up some tension. I can imagine that it is really hard to combine the hours of gameplay from a video game in an average movie, but this could truly have had a greater outcome. there are still a few things I like abiut it, though. For first, the setting and the "monsters" look really good and sufficiently realistic, the setting is in my opinion well chosen. The best is definately the sound design, which is fantastic. The soundtrack for this film, which was also adapted from the second original Silent Hill is close to being my altime-favorite and the even the soundeffects for the evil enemies are convincing enough to could have been potentially frightening, if the rest of the movie would have allowed so. I have pretty much said everything already; Silent Hill Revelation looks good, sounds good and scores as some kind of experiment, but as a movie, especially from the horror-genre is disappointing and will never receive good feedback, which is understandable. I wouldn't not say it's very amusing to see this movie, but neither it's directly a waste of time, just nothing worth to stay in memory after all.

Woah, this movie really ****. It's not that I didn't expect that before watching, when having seen the title already, but in the end this bunch of awkwardness even failed to motivate me laughing about it. In fact, all I remember from the night I've seen it is that this movie pretty much abuses every single horror-movie clichee I had in mind at that time. But due to the predictability of the scary moments and the complete irrelevance of the story this work completely fails to scare anyone. The characters are not emotional, and even the two antagonists don't work well together. When trying to be disgusting, this movie for real only is hilarious, especially to the fact that the forced amount of gore and blood are non more than a "horrify" element giving at least a little scariness to the seen. I give Freddy versus Jason a score of two, as the acting matches the given situation and the effects are pretty good for 2003 and the setting. Other than that; this movie is stupid and boring and should not be watched.

After having seen the trailer for this one, I was pretty keen on seeing this piece of art for being extraordinarily different from the other animated movies out there so far. And in the end I didn't get disappointed, until the ending; I will get to that later. So it became quite hard to find an appropriate conclusion for this one, as for fans of dark humour, suggestive themes and explicit jokes the first scenes of the movie should be absolutely appealing. Most of the movie came up to exactly what the trailer had promised and although the best moments being relatively short in comparison to the movie, they were super fun to watch, when handling the, well, rather reckless humour. But what happened then can barely be put into clear formulation. And it's the very end of the movie that finally makes this movie become unenjoyable at certain point, at least for most of the viewers. I won't spoil what exactly happens, but at the time everyone should already know. So, even according to what you've seen before, the ending is unexpectably overstated and to take it further to appear as the creator's "sandbox", where they again gotr over all the stuff required to make this movie an adult entertainment program. Over all, Sausage Party is a disgusting piece of comedy, stuffed to the top with clichee, reconciliations to celebrities involced, evil and breaking the borders of age restriction. Yes, this can be seen as art, but the ending pretty much ruins everything seen before. Even when it makes you laugh, this movie will in the end only leave one question: "What the actually ******* hell did I just watch?!?". I am sure that is exactly what they wanted. They wanted to cause contreversy and a movie disturbing all viewers. So if you look for a ridiculious comedy that was taken too far you will like that movie. If you want to be entertained, you will like it too, but without the ending. If you want to watch a good movie, better stay off, you will thank me later.

The Exorcist. An absolute classic. The movie which caused three heart attacks, mass panics, thousands of people running out of cinemas to empty their stomaches and - according to rumours - also an early birth during a session. And even if confirmed, I didn't feel anything similiar when I watched this. But still... This movie really deserves a high rating. Because if you think of when it was made, it's the more frightening. The effects, the makeup, the acting, the general setting... Of course I can comprehend how scary this must have been back in 1973 and it's not only that. I guess that "The Exorcist", despite it's length is an interesting movie all until the end. Especially if you have in mind that similiar things truely happened. Anyways... Let me explain my rating: The movie is a must-have-seen within the Horror genre and it has been called one of the scariest movies ever. It's well made and fascinating all the time you watch it. So why do I give a "9" then? The reason is as simple as the fact how easily I fell asleep after having watched this one (the first time): We are out of 1973 and nowadays the movie can't unleash (at least that's what I think) it's full potential of scaryness anymore. If it wasn't such a film, called scariest oft all time, I probably wouldn't have watched it until know. But if I had, although not knowing how they use to handle "The Exorcist"; I'd rated it a pretty harmless and in a way calm Horror movie. To the guys behind it: Respect. You deserve it.

This movie kind of disapponted me. I usually like Zombie movies, but this one couldn´t appeal as much as it should have. First of all, for a comedy, this is far not funny enough. At least in my opinion. Secondly, and thats the point that disturbs me most, the plot and the jokes were both too predictable. At most parts I was pretty sure about how the story would go on and eventually it did more or less exactly like that. Pretty said. So Zombieland is neither a bad movie nor a bad comedy and in fact it´s pretty... watchable. But not more. I´ll still give it a six because the effects are quite good, no, wait, the effects are really good but that´s all. So once again: Zombieland is not the worst Zombie themed movie but also has nothing real original. I don´t want to blame the creators for having seen Zombies so many times before but they could surely have made better. The characters aren´t deep enough, the love-story between the protagonists is predictable and therefore boring and finally the ending is a little unlogical. I don´t know if it was meant to but the gags just didn´t feel right at place. So now I wish you some great fun.

So here we go for my first ever review on "metacritic.com". In the beginning I was pretty much amazed of this movie. How it started of, the story, absolutely genius. When seeing the trailer, I suspected that this is the movie for me to watch. But... Why do I give it only a "six" then? It´s what remained to be watched. Until that one point in the story line (if you watched the movie you´d know what I am talking about) it seemed like they wanted this to become more and more of an action-movie. A few spots pointed out on the story to develop that way indeed, but I didn´t think the people behind "Split" would realize it the way they did. In order to not spoil you I will only say that the ending does not go well with the movie. "Split" is not bad overall, but it´s also not as good as it should be. An alternated ending, if the scenes they made aren´t even more that just the "ending" would have been worth beeing rated 8 or even 9. I´ll still give them a "six" for the idea and because of "Split" having it´s moments and despite the massive deterioration towards the end "Split" is a somewhat well staged and the psychological way pretty scary thriller and it´d be unfair to give it less than 51% of the points, as Split is pretty enjoyable over all, despite the really disappointing "genretwist" I´d claim they tried to craft.
