I'm a fan since FF7 and eventhough I more or less enjoyed FFXII I just disliked FFXIII way too much, so much that I didn't even play it's sequels, being the first Final Fantasy games I missed. When FFXV was announced I was really into open world action RPG games so I got kinda hyped, this are the things I find positive and negative in the game. Positive: 1-Decent main story, good plot twists and unexpected scenarios, but fails at some points (see negative). 2-Good combat system (this one is kinda mixed, the combat system is really interesting, but it can get really boring and monotone quickly if you start doing a lot of side-quests). 3-Graphics. The game has obviously extremely good graphics, that help creating a great environment and inmersion. 4-World. The world is extremely beautiful, as well as the cities. 5-Character development system: Pretty simple but it's enjoyable. Negative: 1-Story content. There are some points that are not well clarified, some trivial things, and some things they work with, then they completely left forgotten, and eventhough the main story is cool, most of the time you find yourself going through stupid or cliche dialogues between the characters that take way too long. 2-Side-quests. I know the comparison might not be fair, but if you compare FFXV's sidequests to a game like say... The witcher 3, it almost feels like they shouldn't have made it an open world. The point of side-quests is that they should give a lot more of insight into the lore, the history, or just be fun, but most quests in FFXV are just go to X position and kill Y, and it really doesn't go beyond that too much, I had to quit doing side-quests after 2-3 hours because it was just the same all over again, I tried to redo a few when I was a bit more advanced into the game but it was still the same over and over again. I know optional content is hard to criticize, but it feels so bad and such a waste to have that world at your hand and not be able to enjoy it due to how tedious and boring the quests are. 3-Characters. The characters are boring, uninteresting, and some of then even way too whiny, you don't get any insight on most of the characters past or what led them to where they are, most of the secondary characters have the same problems too. The characters do not follow the same line as most final fantasies, that's for sure. 4-Magic and summoning. Probably the two most distinctive traits in the Final Fantasy saga. Guess what, they are completely useless and rarely seen, you just don't need them at all, and summons can only be used in certain circumstances (very rarely ones). 5-OST, as much as I hated FFXIII, I thought the OST was pretty decent, just like with every other Final Fantasy before, but FFXV's OST is just the first I just don't enjoy at all, I actually don't remember any of the songs in the game. Overall: OK game, I was expecting more and I really wanted this to bring back the hype that Final Fantasy built with their good old FF6-10 games, and eventhough some of the things it introduces are a good step in that direction, this game just fails at some points that a final fantasy shouldn't fail at and makes me wonder is Square-enix is ever going to find the key to finally start making GREAT games again.
Basically everything I dislike from a shooter. Very few movement (staying next to a box for 10 hours), a shop-based weapon system, and a terrible match-making, I understand it's a team-game but the balance in the teams is just terrible and the game is ultra-boring after a while, both because they never make maps rotations and because the game is just simply bad.
The game is better than League of Legends, heroes have more depth, more skill is required and games are more exciting at least from a player point of view. However, better than LoL doesn't mean it's good, as LoL is probably the most overrated game ever. The game is boring after a while and it's hard to get new heroes. Playing ranked is completely annoying due to the fact that the match-making **** (you won't get balanced teams) and it's full of russians who only speak russian and don't want to cooperate with the team, too tedious to play more than a week.
Follows the illogical puzzles line that the first Monkey Island introduced buth with a more boring storyline, with boring tasks and with a much more childish sense of humour. Probably the only Monkey Island I dislike, can't believe Curse is so incredibly good, and this one is so meh.
The game is really funny and it's where it all starts, it's exciting to meet all the characters and it's really fun at first, however, the puzzles in this Monkey Island are pretty ilogical compared to Curse, Escape, or Tales. Towards the end of the game you'll find yourself spamming the hint button and the worst thing is after pressing it you won't be like "oooh, so it was like that", you'll be like "wtf, that didn't make sense", which is what you want to stay away from in an Adventure game. However, this is a very very old game so probably things were seen a different way back then but nowadays I think it's not good to abuse illogical puzzles so much. Anyways, the game is funny and interesting, it's just frustrating at times.
Keeps on with the great campaign from ROC, with new interesting heroes and units, the music is just as great as in the original one, the multiplayer is just so good with the new maps that it offers and stuff, the automated tournaments, the game is just as great as ROC or even more.
This game was completely impressive when it came out, the graphics, the music, the dungeon crawling, the combat system, it defined a genre and it was definetely very very exciting. Maybe if you play it nowadays and you're not an old-school player it feels a bit slow and rusty but it does definetely deserve all the praise it gets.
Disappointing is the word. 10 years waiting after the release of Diablo II and we get a game with terrible story-line, terrible characters, terrible classes and talent/skill system, it's boring to level up and the Acts are no interesting at all, no pvp at all even 4 years after release... Honestly, even if this game is 10 years newer, Diablo II is 10 times better. With that said, this isn't a completely terrible game. It's a Blizzard game and thus there's a lot of work into it and you can feel that in the cutscenes, the music, the ambientation, and keeps the essence of hack and slash and slaying monsters in huge groups and the controls are quite nice, it would be an ok game if it wasn't named Diablo, but it is just so disappointing to the saga involving in this way after how good Diablo I and Diablo II were.
This is the definition of Hack and slash, the genre doesn't get any better than this. Great gameplay, great character development system, great storyline, great classes, graphically of course it's old but the talent that was involved on the creation of diablo II is something that's almost impossible to find in any other hack and slash or even in any other RPG. If you haven't played this game you had no childhood.
The proof that you can still make good games nowadays. Epic gameplay, with beautiful graphics, the mechanics, the great narration gets you really immersed in the game, the only con is that the story is kinda lacking, and an RPG without a storyline is well... interesting. But the great gameplay makes up for it, definetely a must play.
Pretty good graphics, and entertaining for the most part, but towards the end of the game it starts getting really boring, the few puzzles are so easy and repetitive and the climbing system seems like a very big assasins creed ripoff, nothing too exciting or great about this game, just an average game that won't be remembered in the history of Tomb Raider.
Innovative, but way too short (one hour of gameplay) for it's prize, and kinda easy and boring. You know, thinking of something innovative is not enough for making a good game, this seems like an unfinished product and an inability to make something decent out **** idea. Not worth the prize, not by a long shot.
The combat system is Pretty good and graphically it's a very nice game, but let's face it, this is not a good game. Storyline is way too bad and slow-paced, there's no pvp, there are no dungeons, leveling is so easy and quick, this is definetely not what to expect from an MMORPG, specially if you come from WoW's golden era, and you are seeking a new game that give you the same sentations wow once did, this just won't do it, adds very few things to the already over-exploited MMORPG genre and it lacks way too many things that are VERY important for MMORPGS. However it's not as bad as some people is suggesting, it's ok to play this game for a few hours, it's funny at the very beginning, but don't expect to get immersed on it unless you have 0 experience with MMORPGs or you have a terrible taste, you'll most likely get tired of it after a week of playing (max). People should really stop making reviews the very first day they try a videogame, almost every game is good the first day.
Average game. Definetely not an alternative to Starcraft II as some people thought it would be before it came out. The races are interesting and very different from each other, and the no-worker system and how the buildings and production work seem very well thought and interesting. However, the game is too slow-paced, too monotone and the fights are way too chaotic and ephemeral. Also, campaign is really, really boring, both because the storyline is meh and because missions take 30 minutes for just 1 minute of storyline developement.
Good things: -More than 1 competitive map. -Shorter games, more action. -Heroes with real lore. -Different objectives for every map (less monotone) Bad things: -No hero development (except for a talent every 3/4 levels) -Too casual (heroes are easy to use compared to other MOBAs) -Shop is too expensive (10$ for a Hero and 15$ for a skin?) -Terrible ranked solo experience (finds game fast by matching completely unbalanced teams) So basically, t's definetely better than traditional MOBA's, because of all the good new aditions it has to the poor genre, however I feel Blizzard could've done this sooo much better and it feels they're really lazy, really money grabbing and they don't care enough about player's needs and what they can do to make the game better, the matchmaking just makes you want to uninstall this game after a few ranked games, as fun as it might seem at the beginning.
The campaign is slightly worse than the previous ones, there are some new cool features like more hero-usage, but overall the campaign is much easier, til the point it's no challenging at all to beat in brutal and then the storyline is soooo bad in this one I have to say, however it's still good fun and the multiplayer is great, with faster games and new interesting units, can't rate it more than 8 because of the poor storyline ending though.
Definetely one of the best RTS's ever, right next to Warcraft III in my opinion. Campaign is great, a lot of missions, great storyline, only the voice-acting seemed a bit off for me, but overall it was grat. And what to say about multi-player... this is the definition of competitive gaming, if you want high level competition it won't get any better than with this game, at least back in the day, don't know how it's like nowadays.
Senran Kagura has always been a bad series, I mean, we all know the reason we got into it firstly, but it just gets boring after so many games that only have this one interesting thing. Poor storyline, poor gameplay, and very repetitive compared to previous SK. Definetely not worth it, the game is very average.
Well this game was always quite overrated... Back in the day it was already kinda meh, but 15€ for a game that was released on 1993? Just because of a poor lazy remaster? This is definetely not worth it, the puzzles are not intuitive at all, you know it's ok if the puzzles are hard, but they have to make sense, and they do not make sense in this game. Bad characters, lazy comedy... If you play this because you loved Monkey Island and you think this will be as good, JUST DON'T.
I really don't understand what makes this game special for so many people. To me, it marks the point where resident evil starts going downhill, it's no longer about clever puzzles and being low on health and ammo and feeling the next step could very well be your last, instead this is more like a shooter were you are just shooting all the time against 1000 dudes on the outside, no fear, no horror, no anything, just shooting and shooting. And they even add a shop? What the hell, is this resident evil or Counter strike? The game kinda starts to get boring after the first two massacres. Also, you have "over the shoulder" perspective but the character moves like in old resident evils, it's SOOOO unintuitive. To finish, something really annoying was he fact that the action takes place in Spain and the voice actors are clearly speaking mexican dialect, it makes me feel the game is kind of a joke, they didn't even research anything about the place the game was taking place in? Overall, mediocre game and the PC port ****, even if graphically it's kinda nice even if it's old and the storyline is good despite the mexican thing kinda taking away the immersion I can't rate it more than 4.

Great controls, great Storyline, the music, the ambientation, Rebecca... Definetely a must play, it's one of the best "old" resident evils, would rank it right next to the first one, it's just a great experience overall, eventhough the hard mode is REALLY hardcore, don't try hard mode before getting experience with the game.
When you think Square-enix couldn't do any worse with their Final Fantasy saga they make this game... FFXIII was very average, probably even bad, but this just surpases any limit.
It would be wrong to call this the new Final Fantasy because eventhough it's a turn-based RPG there are way too many differences with FF, but if there's one saga that's to continue with the legacy of the great turn RPGs, it's Persona, and Persona IV is simply the most refined in the saga. Great characters, great anime-like graphics, great storyline, great music, great everything basically. I just can't think of any RPG saga that is close to Persona nowadays.

Can't believe people is rating WoW (vanilla) so low, by the time it came out it was the best game ever made. Great graphics, the biggest world ever seen, there was no game that was even close to what wow brought. Most of you are rating this thinking of current world of warcraft. But this is the original wow (2004-2007) and I can safely say that there has been no other game to make such an impact in the history of videogame (not just number-wise, but quality-wise in relation to the year it came out) and there'll probably never be another one again. Besides, vanilla was definetely much better than current wow, it was more complex and you had to work your ass off if you wanted decent gear and the possibility of raiding in high level guilds.
Mediocre game, definetely. Was very promising and there was a lot of hype with it, instead what do we find? A game that is repetitive like no other game, very linear, boring character developement system... nothing on the game is too interesting to want to play it more than a couple hours.
I've probably never seen a game this bad, where do I start... I mean, do I even have to start? Everything in the game is just bad, EVERYTHING, I'm not even kidding, there's not a single thing that is gonna make this game worth it's price, damn, it's not even worth a single euro. This is the only 0 I've ever given, but a very firm and safe one, this is the worst game I've played in my whole life.
Can't believe this game gets so much hate compared to other quake games. It's everything you could expect from a Quake game, dark, "scary", exciting, hard... The multiplayer is great too, the only problem is the movement for the campaign is quite slow, hence the 8, quake is about speed and jumping.
FPS don't get any better than this. This is what the genre is meant to be. Speed, strafe-jumps, different weapons, fast action, and not hiding next to a box for 10 hours waiting for your chance to one-shot someone.

Ok storyline, Ok world, Ok music, Ok characters, but... extremely horrible combat system. This is supposed to be a new generation tactic rpg? now where's the tactic? There's literally no tactic at all in the fights, then what do you have? Extremely long figths where you click 2 buttons and you just wait 20 hours for everything to happen.
It's funny seeing people complaining that this game is hard. This is what these kind of games are meant to be! The storyline is nothing special, what makes the game so impressively interesting and exciting is that each scenario adds another level of difficulty and towards the end of the game you really have to be skillful to be able to get through. That's what the genre and this saga is about and that's what makes any non-whiny league of legends kid love this game. Also, it's the kind of sequel you could expect, keeps the spirit of commandos but adds a lot of new features that improves the possibilities a lot and they are very welcome.
This game defines a whole genre. Different characters with different abilities, a lot of challenging hard scenarios, great music, great ambientation, historically rich game... If you like this genre just go ahead and play this game if you haven't already, real time tactics don't get any better than this.
After the unnecessary beginning where you go through all kinds of details about the Julia and Henry relationship I have to admit the game gets really interesting. You are on your own on that empty forest with only Delilah to talk with on the radio, I definetely enjoyed their conversations a lot. And then the intriguing story comes in. All of a sudden you go from being in a forest with nothing to do to not knowing who the hell is out there spying you and delilah, the game gets so intriguing and exciting and then... Then the game finishes... and with a terrible ending that makes you feel you've been losing your time. What looked like it could be a huge interesting plot ends with an extremely disappointing lazy outcome, and then you realise you paid 20 bucks for a game you've only been playing for ~3 hours (the game is no longer than that), doing nothing (it's one of those annoying walking simulators) and with a storyline that you will forget after a couple of months due to its bad ending.
What can I say that hasn't been said yet... Final Fantasy VII marks the beginning of an era. It says goodbye to the old-traditional equip a sword and go fight 1000 random encounters RPG's and welcomes an era where the important part of the game is the storyline and the character developement, and in what way it does that... Impressive storyline, impressive characters (each one of them), enormour plot twists, and all that topped with SquareSoft's unique skill for making great soundtracks and ambientation. The result? The historical game everyone knows FFVII is. Anyone that has not played this game needs to go and buy it asap, this is one of those videogames you have to play once in your life if you like videogames just a bit.
People is overrating this game a lot. Hearing people suggesting this is the best Final Fantasy game ever is, in my opinion, a very big lack of objectivity. Honestly, what new things does this games have to offer in regard to the previous FF's? That's right, nothing. FF7 brought Final Fantasy to a whole new level, innovated like no final fantasy had ever done, hence it's success. FF8 was a very big innovative success aswell. The junction system, the G.F system (you can improve them, they replace HP's gauge when they are being summoned) etc, the more realistic graphics, it was definetely something fresh and exciting. Now think about FF9... We go back to the old job system, eventhough you can't even select which character has what job here, thus characters have 0 customization, making some combination of characters non-viable, we had materias and junction before, what do we have now? The old nintendo Final fantasy system where you can only choose weapon, armor, accessory and that's it. Well, you can learn spells out of that, how innovative... Besides that there's NO new feature at all, even the minigame (tetra-master) is highly inspired by FF8's triple triad. It almost feels like Square just wanted to give the sentation of "oh, we know our roots, so eventhough we're gonna deliver an inferior game we'll have our old fans happy making a modern old-FF game." Now into the characters, Vivi is a very interesting character, one of the best characters in FF. But Zidane? Eiko? Quina? Steiner? and what's with the moogles and all the kid-jokes? Kinda feels like they wanted to make a childish game in some aspects, which was so disappointing considering how mature and interesting Final Fantasy was becoming with FF7 and then FF8, eventhough I'm glad it went back to that with FFX. Now, FF9 is not a bad game, at all. It has a great storyline, beautiful graphics, very good music, I'd recommend it to everyone that likes RPGS... It just offers nothing new to the saga in my opinion and is highly overrated, definetely not on the level of FF7, FF8 or FF10 for me.
An insult to everyone that loves final fantasy and especially final fantasy X. Very poor storyline, poor music, poor graphics for when it came out, extremely boring... But the worst thing is not just all that crap, it's that it messes with the great story from Final Fantasy X. Remember Yuna? The demure and strong girl that was to give her life for people to live in peace another 10 years, the girl that would marry the devil himself if that makes people have something happy to talk about. Well that girl is now jumping around seeking new dresses. That is how bad FFX-2 is. Definetely aimed for 14 year old girls that have 0 experience with video games, I'll just give it a 3 for the combat system and for LeBlanc, which was truly an interesting character.
It's basically a 1,5hr gameplay predictable walking-simulator for 20 bucks. You can't even die, old movie trick kind of fear, with things falling to the ground, hearing a baby or a girl crying, etc, etc. Basically : a waste of time, and just watch a walkthrough on youtube anyways, why would you pay for a game where the only thing u can do is walk... I've seen 1000 movies like this, absolutely nothing new and definetely a waste of money for such a short, bad game.
Typical game where you just go around spaming X all the time and with a poor, predictable, and repetitive story. Getting sick of those. Only gets decent reviews because of the graphics. Cmon, games are not about graphics...
Definetely doesn't deserve all the hate it had, at least back in the day. The graphics, at least for characters are not very appealing and the monkey combat was simply stupid, but everything else is just what you can expect from a Monkey island, definetely a good game in the saga, just probably not as good as the 3 previous ones.
The definition of perfection in a graphic adventure game. Smooth and intuitive gameplay, very cool graphics, very nice storyline, impressive soundtrack, interesting and sometimes frustrating (but that's the core of graphic adventures) puzzles, great characters, and all that mixed with a very funny sense of humour, definetely a MUST experience for graphic adventure lovers, and for everyone that likes videogames really.
It's definetely interesting, the story-line, the interaction with the other characters, the combat system... The only bad thing about the game is that it's way too slow-paced, kinda gets boring at times because of how slow everything happens.
I've given pretty few negative reviews, but this is definetely gonna be one of them. The storyline is the worst I've seen from square-enix in my whole life I think, for real, even worse than FFXIII-2 as hard as it is. The combat system seems like it was designed by a 3-year old kid that never had any experience with a videogame, the music is very poor for a final fantasy, almost feels like they didn't even try making a good soundtrack. I rate it a 2/10 because the graphics are good for a game that "old", but this is a game I wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy.
The game is interesting and I think playing it at least once is recommended, however if you want a survival horror game this just won't do it, the zombies are cool, graphics are cool, I completely love the parkour system, the "find a safe place" moments on the night are really thrilling, but most of the time you never have that sensation of anxiety or fear most survival horrors tend to give. The storyline is mediocre, eventhough it has really nice moments and the game is sooo full of bugs, which sometimes can be annoying. Overall: decent game, and I would recommend playing it once but don't expect it to be a master piece or something.
Well, this is a good game. When the game is on, this is terror in it's purest form, trying to hide from the alien knowing he's smelling you, trying to cut corners with him, hearing him slithering through the tunnels above or below you and not knowing when he will appear again just next to you... And it's not just the alien, the synthetic also going crazy at you slowly approaching towards you and following you all around, and then even the humans shooting you every time they have the chance to... it's really an experience that has to be lived, it's definetely recommended. The problem with the game and that makes it a bit boring sometimes is that those situations do not occur as often as they should. Between those situations there's a lot of walking/crouching pressing "E" on several things without really any thing happening, and there are way too many saving points, I think knowing that you can die any time when you haven't saved for a long time makes it even more thrilling, but before almost every "dangerous" situation you always get the chance to save game giving you the sensation that you are safe, something that should never happen in a survival horror.
In one word: overrated. People even qualifying this as the best game in 2015 is just simply sad. The game is not bad, let's face it, you can be a gangster for one day, graphically it's extremely beautiful, it's cool that there's an open world with random side-stories happening and stuff but other than that, the missions are boring, the control is pretty bad, there's not even a decent story to follow, the characters were terribly badly chosen for anyone that has played any of the other GTA's. I mean don't get me wrong, this is a cool game to play a few hours and even finish it one time, but it's not a great game that you'll want to come back and re-play and it's definetely not as good as most people are categorizing it.
Perhaps the best JRPG in the history of videogames, I can only think of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX as maybe being on this level. First of all, visually it was a HUGE improvement for anything we had seen at those times. Even nowadays it's still visually elegant. The story is the best I've seen in probably any videogame, the love story in the game is not the typical easy "oh we've felt in love, let's be happy together" we tend to see on videogames. Every character is detailed and designed in a perfect and accurate way, the music is simply extremely good, the sphere grid system is a big improvement to the previous systems, you finally have the sensation of really developing your characters the way you want. Blitzball could be a game on it's own already and it's just a mini-game. I just can't think of anything that could've been done better in this game.
