This could have been a good remake if it wasn't for Nomura's obsession with story changes that are on the level of bad Kingdom Hearts fanfiction. People mainly wanted to see FF7 with modern graphics and a freshened up combat system. No one asked for them to completely mess up the story, but that's what they did. The gist: If you're a fan of FF7 who loved that game, then you should find this remake to be an insult that ruins its story.

This game is an insult to the Pokémon franchise. The graphics are astonishingly bad and reminiscent of the PS2 era. Content-wise there is practically no postgame. There's no national dex and no way to catch, own or play with them all. They cited "all the work for the new models and animations" as the reason why the game couldn't have all Pokémon, yet it's already been shown for a fact that all animations and models are old ones. They didn't do anything new in that regard, so that excuse is complete bogus. "Dynamax" as this generations's gimmick meant to replace megas or z-moves is also beyond boring and lame, it's literally just the Pokémon but big. Coupled with very few good looking designs of new Pokémon this gen this game is just an all-around disaster and it's about time Nintendo wrestled away control of this franchise from GameFreak, who clearly do NOT want to bother anymore.

This is an absolute must-buy for the Switch. It takes Mario Maker 1 and adds a huge amount of things to it. New styles, new themes, night versions of all of them, vertical levels, custom scroll, multiplayer co-op and versus both local and online, a full story mode, ... I could go on and on, but the tl;dr is that you owe it to yourself to get this if you even remotely enjoy platformers in general.

It's a good game, but not as good as the proper Souls games. Just lacks the atmosphere and its combat is a bit too mashy as well.

As a diehard Melee fan I don't say this lightly, but this is the real deal. This will probably go down in history as the best Smash Brothers game ever made. I'm in awe of how much fun it is to play and how much content there is. Mr. Sakurai must have given all of his remaining life force to make this happen and I'm thankful for it. If you like video games at all, get this. It's a must have.

Just play MTGA instead. This game has an awful economy, you cannot earn ANY cards for free just by playing, the game itself isn't all that fun, everything looks pastel and ugly and the cards themselves look horrendous too. No reason to play this over MTGA in any way.

This is the peak of Monster Hunter. Proper challenge, insane roster with all the fan favorites, thousands of unique weapon designs, transmog, great online lobbies - it's all there. If you're a Monster Hunter veteran I don't need to tell you about how awesome it is, you likely already know. Playing XX (aka MHGU) on the big TV with the Pro Controller is incredibly fun and the best way to experience it no doubt.

If you're looking for a good old JRPG that hits all the right spots yet also tries something new (eight unique stories with not a lot of intertwining) then this is your game. It looks absolutely beautiful, has a very fun and in-depth turn based combat system and will bring you right back to the good old Chrono Trigger/FFVI/etc. days. Superb English voice overs as well by the way!

While visually impressive and beautiful, this game is an insult to every veteran of Monster Hunter. The entire gameplay has been casualized and westernized so that your average newcomer in the West would be more likely to appreciate this game. Running around while healing, grappling hook as a crutch, the ability to re-position your hunter during attacks that previously locked you into place, no more negative armor skills whatsoever.. I could go into great detail here and list many more, but the point is that Capcom simply went too far in their mission to reach a wider audience. Nevermind the fact that you can now simply craft the rarest materials such as gems and plates. We can only hope that Capcom will come back to their senses and develop proper, real Monster Hunter games again in the future. Verdict: A big step forward in graphics, many smaller steps back in gameplay. Possibly the worst MH to date.

This is the definitive Splatoon experience. Did you like the first game? Then this is all you could ask for. New story, weapons and supers, maps, features, game modes, on a hybrid console with upgraded graphics (1080p60fps docked). It's an all around upgrade compared to Splatoon 1, they improved upon it in every aspect.

Bloodborne is a good game, but it lacks too many features older Souls games had that gave them more depth and longevity. There is no more poise, no equipment burden, little build variety and not a whole lot of weapons. On the other hand the Victorian era / gothic style atmosphere is nice, yet it doesn't really change so that's all you get. A good game, but not the masterpiece it was said to be.

Nintendo just gave every single other developer out there a master class in how to design a proper open world game that avoids all of the usual pitfalls. If you enjoy video games then you need to experience this. It's not only the best Zelda ever made, beating even the likes of ALttP or OoT, it's also possibly the single best video game ever created. Do not miss out on this!

No Man's Sky is not the intergalactic playground people had hoped it would be; it is more of a nigh infinitely big museum filled with nothing but Jackson Pollock paintings.

Did you come here looking for Monster Hunter? Or maybe you were looking for Final Fantasy? Or a mix between both? Well move on, because it is none of that, really. Only a very miniscule part of it could resemble Monster Hunter and there isn't all that much Final Fantasy in it other than some monsters and characters, it's more reminiscent of PSO. Unfortunately it does get very bland and repetitive (and not the fun kind like MH) very soon so you'll truly have to be mad in love with anything even remotely FF to keep going. Not a horrible game, but not really good either.

The game is fun enough to make it worthwhile, but it's also lacking in many areas. Most noticeable the horrendous writing, the awful dialogue wheel, the terrible enemy AI and all the bugs. Once again it is up to the modding community to help finish a Bethesda game.

One of the most fun games in a long time. It's very easy to get into it, there's no entry barrier. Just start it up and have fun. At the same time, mastering it is another story. If you just want to have a good time, you won't regret this.

I'm giving this 2 points because of the visuals alone. They are great. The problem is that is all there is to the Order 1886. There is almost no gameplay worth speaking of, the story is cliche and not interesting, enemies are recycles, the characters are flat. Maybe the developers shouldn't have said "Gameplay is something ****'s a game, we can't get around it." Well there certainly is little to do in this title other than the odd QTE or failproof cover based shooter section. For a game that was going to rely so much on its story that area is really poor as well. I assume the writers' penmanship was too bad for Hollywood so they went for the video game industry. Please don't repeat this.

Great entry into the Monster Hunter series. If there are any negatives at all I'd have to say that the camera is still a bit of a hassle to deal with, even with the (not so great but okay) C-stick on the New 3DS. Unfortunately the game also lacks a few great monsters from its previous installment and I'm not sure we really needed another weapon based on the concept of morphing, but those are just nit-pickings and any MH fan will have a blast with this game no doubt. The game also features much better tutorials than before so it's a good time for newcomers to get into the franchise.

This game could have been much better. Unfortunately, to even experience the full game, you'll be forced to buy a TON of DLC and that DLC is really not fairly priced. And even once you do all that you're left with a game that has a great premise but gets very stale very soon once you figure out the best ways to play it. There's no completely different tactic to be applied every time so the longevity of this game is something that'll be lacking.

I'm giving this a 5/10 for now because it just does too many things wrong. Actually, the only positive change is the tech web - that is interesting and works well. But everything else is such a mess, from the civs barely being any different (tiny bonuses are all the variation you'll get), to leaders having no personalities to there being no victory/loss screen and many other issues, this game is just not good right now and I'd strongly suggest playing a modded Civ V with both DLCs over this for now.

I simply have to give this game a 10/10. It improves upon everything compared to all past Mario Kart entries. It's a superb experience, it's fluid, the controls are very solid and online racing is more fun than it has ever been. Probably the best WiiU game right now, do yourself a favor and get this!
