Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time6
Aug 27, 2020
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is a very simple action game with trivial mechanics, it tries to increase the depth of the combat system through the introduction of alternative weapons and a rich skill tree, but without great success. At the normal difficulty level you have to be really unscrupulous to incur the game over screen and the five hours+ necessary to complete the campaign slip away without leaving much. Although the graphics seem really dated, as well as the level design, everything appears very faithful to the original cartoon. If you are passionate about Samurai Jack, then, you might perhaps turn a blind eye.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Definitive Edition8
Aug 24, 2020
This Definitive Edition dramatically improves upon the already impressive contents of Owlcat Games' work, making an overly underrated classic RPG even better. Too bad, however, that the performance is not stellar even on Playstation 4 Pro; practically nothing has been done in terms of accessibility, and the polishing work of this "definitive" edition still leaves something to be desired. If you can get over the bugs, and you are passionate about the genre, I recommend it without hesitation: it is a huge title, very rich and which particularly shines in this version.

The Last of Us Part II10
Jun 19, 2020
The plot is among the most impactful and courageous ever, the characters are unforgettable, the graphics are often photorealistic, the sound is literally Oscar-winning. And now there is also a gameplay worthy of mention, with a system of controls that, relying on crazy animations, manages to convey a wonderful feeling of absolute control. Ultimately, all the goals that Naughty Dog had set itself at the beginning of the development of The Last of Us Part II can be said to have been achieved, if not exceeded. A seminal experience that will be discussed for a long, long time.

Fans of the JRPG genre in possession of the Nintendo Switch would commit a crime to not buy a copy of this masterpiece made in Monolith Soft. And I want to exaggerate: if you do not yet own Nintendo Switch, this is a great reason to buy it. Well yes, such is the value of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: probably in five or more years we will talk about it again as a turning point in a market that needs ideas and projects of this magnitude.

Digimon World 30
Dec 12, 2019
One of the worst JRPG I have ever experienced. And you know what? I am a Digimon fan. Digimon World 2003 is sadly lackluster in every aspect, even for its era. From a broken combat system (spam the strongest attack and GG) to an extremely shallow plot, filled with soulless characters. Not to mention the extreme backtracking. Put down your nostalgia glasses and use some critical thinking.

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory10
May 1, 2019
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory. A midquel. A "new" story that happens at the same time of the "main plot" of Cyber Sleuth. A new cast of characters, with their personalities and goals that works in the shadows to solve the "digi-crisis" that is going on because of the Eaters. The only real ""letdown"" is the release price and some rehash of places (because of its midquel nature).

Technically majestic, considering the Wii's hardware. The plot, the art direction and the soundtrack are extraordinary. The combat system is satisfying and the RPG mechanics are pretty deep. The game is overall longeval and rich of contents.

Pokémon GO: Console Edition. Easier, simpler, tasteless. No abilities. No day/night cycle. No weather. No fishing. No breeding. No end-game. Nice graphics and such things are not enough.
