Not a terrible game by any means. Looks good and the combat is somewhat fluid. The downside is, the game just doesn't need to exist. It doesn't do anything well enough to stand out and ends up being just an absolutely uninspired piece of work. Nobody in a million years will say this was their favorite game.

Absolutely beautiful in every possible way. The graphics alone stun the player from the get-go, the music is divine and the story grips you from start to finish, leaving you wanting more.

As usual, the game is mostly an insult to the game of hockey. The new Ice-Q AI made the computer players so stupid, they'd be kicked out of even a peewee team. A lot of the bugs and glitches from previous titles remain. Even after the nerfs, the high percentage play to score is a one-timer from the blueline, no matter who's taking the shot. Even if EA hasn't really been on top of their game in the past decade, I didn't see them stooping this low. Don't buy, even when it's on sale.
