Normally I often read game reviews before I buy them to see what I am getting into. This was a blind buy because I am a LotR fan and thought I could expect a great game. I was very mistaken. Bought and played on PS5. Graphics: 3/10 I have seen better graphics on a PS3 game. These graphics are so outdated it is just not funny at all. I even tried setting the parameters to Quality and also tried Quality with Ray Tracing. Quality seemed very dull and bland, not much texture. Whereas Quality with Ray Tracing just made everything grainy, like looking at sand blowing in the wind. Movement/Controls: 3/10 Very bad and very basic. I have not experienced any of the glitches or bugs I am reading about like Gollum not grabbing a ledge when he should. But it just seems like there should have been more to it then walk/run and jump. You can occasionally kill an orc by choking him out, unless of course they are wearing a helmet. Which 98% of them are.. and the ones wearing a straw hat, ya that counts as a helmet i guess. Story: 6/10 The story is the one shining light to this game, however if you know nothing about the LotR universe then you will know nothing about this game or its story. It will seem hard to pick certain things up to, for example when Gollum continually talks about Shelob. He never mentions her name and only describes her so you wont know who he is talking about unless you know the lore. Lore: 1/10 They could have made this a big hit but instead its just collectibles scattered around the maps. No story behind them or what they are. For example one collectible is a bats wing..... and that's it. You have collected a bats wing. Overall 2/10 This is hands down one of the worst purchases I have made in many years and really, really regret it. Plus I got the DLC which makes it more expensive. By the way you don't need the DLC, it does nothing for the game unless you want to hear elves speak elvan and get some Gollum emotes. Which at the time of this writing neither work for me. It says "On" in the DLC menu. But I get nothing. You also get art and the games soundtrack... whatever.

This game is absolutely nothing like the original. I loved the original and played it for hours and hours and also achieved the Platinum trophy. This game is just horrible, wait for a DEEP DEEP sale before buying. The faults are all in the game play and game modes, graphics, voice and everything else is fine. So lets dive into game play and game mode talk. The main campaign is seriously like 2-3 hours in length. All it really is, is a tutorial. Nothing more, nothing less. You unlock nothing by doing it aside from some achievements. The real game is I guess chaos theory?? which just puts you in certain points in the movies and you decide the outcome. This is the game mode where you unlock stuff for sandbox mode. Lets discuss game play now. The changes made are horrendous in nature. Here is just a couple things that are new: You need to send a ranger team to check the status of your dinosaurs every few minutes. You need incredibly large enclosures this time. (example) For Stegosaurus to be happy you basically need an enclosure that takes up half the map. The micromanagement is off the chart ridiculous. You need to buy fuel and food and energy every few minutes for your vehicles and dinos. In order to do anything you need scientists, lets say a dinosaur is injured which happens with every storm, storms happen every few minutes. First you will see a injury icon above your dino. Then you need to status check them with your ranger team, then check them with your medical team. Then dart them to sleep, then transport them to the medical bay, then transport them back to enclosure when healed. This happens every damn storm, its so tedious I stopped playing. Lets say you find some fossils to sell, well you need to get your scientists to sell the fossils which in turn costs money. So in order to make money you need to spend it? Makes sense right... or does it. The micromanagement is just so bad... so so bad. I don't even want to talk about it anymore this game disgusts me so much. I hope what I did say is enough to help you make an informed decision and save your money. Look at my review for the first game, a game i gave a perfect score.

This is one of those don't judge a book by its cover types of games. The game only takes several hours to Platinum, but the story and game play along the way make it incredible and worth the journey.

Don't get me wrong this game is amazing in every sense. I highly recommend playing it however.... wait for a sale to purchase. Let me explain: The graphics are top notch and not something that even needs to be discussed. They nail the end life of this gaming generation and everything it is capable of with the next generation coming soon. Hearing the music and soundtracks take me back to the original for sure. The voice acting is superb and the audio while playing is great. From Barret's one liners to Jessie hitting on Cloud, even listening to the background voice as you walk through a section of town is great. The battles are awesome and and you can choose if you want it to be simplistic or more challenging. With many original monsters making a reappearance. I like everything about this game but here is why it only got a 5. I did not read up on anything about this game pre-release so I could be totally surprised by everything and enjoy it all. Everything was going great. Then the game ended and I was not even out of Midgar, ARE YOU JOKING ME!!! Looks like SE is going to make this into a three part series I would guess. While some may enjoy that I do not. Yes it makes the overall game larger but it also means we as players wont be done it until 2023, provided they release the next part every year and I doubt that is going to happen but it sure as hell better. If they do it every two years then we will be done this series by 2026. No way this game is just a two part series as Midgar was the first game. If I recall the game took place over a few towns and areas of the world map. Yes they really fleshed out Midgar with a town more to do and it was great but now I have to buy another game/DLC maybe two at $79.99 CAD each I am guessing. MONEY GRAB!! That is why this game gets a 5, Buy it; just wait on a sale.

This game is a hot mess of 10,000,000 year old ancestor poo. If you like games that make you feel like your a 10,000,000 ancestor and literally do not know a rock from a stick and want to spend 10,000,000 years evolving to what you currently look in the mirror at every day then this game is for you and rated 10/10. I literally mean exactly what I said above. This game has no tutorial except a brief one telling you what buttons do what. After that you are on your own and must evolve the species however you see fit. The only problem is that it is as hard as it was 10,000,000 years ago. The controls in the game gave me a headache, after an hour in I still found myself looking at my controller and saying what the hell button does what. It is not fluid in any shape way or form. The concept of the game is brilliant but could have been done so much better. Picture Dark Souls difficulty but with a stick as your weapon. Oh wait that's after 5,000,000 years, until then you can only scream and flail your arms. Be ready to die again and again and again..... I could not get my refund fast enough for this one...... Not for me but maybe its for you. Good Luck!

This game is great, as both a Total War fan and as a Three Kingdoms fan. My favorite thing about this game believe it or not is how smooth it runs. As long as you meet the game requirements which I am right on the limit, with the GTX970 and it still looks and runs smooth. I love the games romance mode which die hard fans of Three Kingdoms will surely enjoy, as it is the more story based version of the game. For those that want a more Total War experience then you can do the regular mode instead of romance. I love the building tree and the tech tree, everything seems simple and is easy to learn. I like that as sometimes games get to complicated with their learning curve. I really enjoy the court/family aspect of the game. I like everything about this game.

Days Gone... Do not let the bad reviews fool you. When this game first came out it was bug and crash city. They have already patched that up. I bought it a few days after release and have not run into any bug or game crash yet. However they say first impressions are everything and that is why the review score is so low. Graphics- Nothing to write home about. I have seen images such as this on the PS3, however it is still fine to look at. Nothing to complain about. Images could be better though with the tech out for PS4. Music and Voice- The music is great and during certain cut scenes I think it is perfect and gives you a great sense of the current atmosphere. The voice acting is fine, but again nothing to write home about. I have seen better and I have seen worse. Game play- Great at first, but then gets really really repetitive. Go to X and complete Y is the same for several missions and side quests. The story missions differentiate but they are not the meat of the quests available. Plus Zombie games have been done to the max and it is time to move on from this stale genre. Overall- The game is fun, boring at times. No bugs that I have yet seen but it is nothing new to the genre. I give it an 8 to boost the score a bit but it really is around a 7 or 6.

I had my doubts about this game from the get go. However after seeing all the positive reviews on various websites I thought why not I'll bite. Boy was I wrong! This game seems to be in Alpha in my opinion and is very boring all you do is literally hit speed x8 and watch. Occasionally throwing down a new building when your tech level reaches said building. It is also an extremely short game with an actual achievement to finish the tech tree in 5 hours or less, and doing that is basically beating the game. Of course you still watch and build more but there is nothing else to unlock. I got a refund on this one. Wait for a deep sale and then it would be worth the purchase for the shallow content.

When I play a game I do so as an achievement hunter. I am always looking for that Platinum Trophy and because of that I rate games not only on the game but on the enjoyment I get out of getting 100% completion in terms of achievements. I had high hopes for this game and knew I would purchase it the moment I heard about it. That being said I try to avoid spoilers and as much game play previews as I can to not ruin the story. When I purchased the game the first thing I did was look at the achievements and realized some save scumming would be required to avoid having to do multiple playthrough's. Which I don't mind but I feel a proper game should not require multiple playthrough's to get all the achievements. Or multiple saves, you should be able to get all achievements on a single play. At this point the game score for me was 9/10. Soon into the game I realized after every choice was made the game instantly saved. No ability to save except when the game chose is not acceptable to me. Current score now 8/10. The graphics of the game I felt appeared to be in Alpha. The colors were dull and boring, and the game seems to be from the PS3 era, not the PS4/PS4 pro. The various districts in the game were also dull and had nothing to them. Current score now 7/10. The decisions you make in this game do not get me started. One of the achievements is to not kill/drink blood from any of the characters you meet. The game is called VAMPYR! Trying to do this achievement was worse then watching grass grow and paint dry. Plus if you do not drink blood you do not level up, which eventually means you will see enemies several times your level. Current score now 4/10, yes that is a big jump but c'mon seriously. This game just did nothing for me, the sound and speech was fine, however you have to sit through an entire conversation. For people such as myself who can read a bit faster and want to speed through the text, you can skip, but it will skip an entire dialog and not just the text windowed. Current score now 3/10. The combat in the game is ridiculous, just copy and paste each battle. Seriously their is little variety as you mow down the games enemies, certainly not as much variety as the game leads you to believe with the various abilities. Current score now 2/10. The story is this games greatest feature and why it is getting all the great reviews. However once you get past the amazing story to the bedrock underneath. There is not much going for this game,, however I am a **** for a great story and so the score gets a point back . Current score 3/10. My hopes quickly dwindled for this game as I chose to drive a stake through Vampyr! Final score: 3/10 Pros: Story Speech Sound Cons: Everything else

When I play a game I do so as an achievement hunter. I am always looking for that Platinum Trophy and because of that I rate games not only on the game but on the enjoyment I get out of getting 100% completion in terms of achievements. After reading several reviews on this game giving it a negative score I had my doubts. After playing this game I realize all those negative reviews are coming from those who either played the game for 5 minutes, don't like dinosaurs, or don't like park sims. I have unlocked a few of the islands now, still a few more to go and I have to say this game is a time sink of enjoyment. I started playing and next time I looked at a clock 5 hours had passed without me even realizing it. Current score 10/10. The graphics in the game are great, animations of the dinosaurs are amazing. Some reviews are saying that the game animations are repetitive, well ya the developers cannot include 100 animations per one dinosaur, sorry all! I spent more time managing my park and creating dinosaurs then watching their animations. What I have had time to look at so far is eating, drinking, running walking, playing and talking with fellow herd members, hunting etc. There are plenty of animations to make it feel real to me. The landscape and buildings also look crisp and clean. Current score 10/10. Building the park and park management will take up most of your time and fulfilling quests given to you by your peers (different divisions in the park) from digging up fossils to doing research, restocking food, doing repairs, medicating dinos, selling dinos, discarding dead dinos and placing buildings for your park and entertaining guests. When building your park the customization is limited, you cannot put benches, or light posts or all the itty bitty things. For me however I find that level of customization difficult and was why I could not get into a game like planet coaster. Yes Frontier made both games. The customization comes in the form of gene splicing your dinos and adding new genomes. The management aspect of this game was perfect for me. Current score 10/10. Sound and speech was great, from cast members of the Jurassic Park films making a return to add their voice to the great T-Rex and that amazing roar. Dinos in herds also make noises to each other and people scream when being chased by escaped dinosaurs. Current score 10/10. Some reviews I read especially from well known critics shocked me, especially one that said the dinos were constantly breaking fences and escaping and it was just a rinse and repeat cycle. I have never had a dinosaur escape except by a quest given by peers to catch it. When you select any dinosaur in it enclosure it is basically like a sim, make sure all its needs are met and it will be happy as a clam. Some dinos like forests, others like none, some like meat, others like plants. Some like huge herds, others want to be solitary, all want a source of water which is just obvious. To the ones who wrote the review of escaped dinosaurs you have to play the game longer then 5 minutes and select a dino to see they have needs that have to be met. In a normal park sim you focus on your customer needs, where here you focus on the dino needs. If a dino is happy your guests are happy and the money will come rolling in. There is a small aspect of guest happiness, just make sure they have places to eat, sleep, shop, and view the dinos. Current score 10/10. I really have nothing bad to say about this game and in terms of an achievement hunter all can be achieved by simply playing the game and doing the tasks associated with it. Nothing difficult here or that will make you pull your hair out. No save scumming needed! I Highly endorse this park. Current score 10/10. Pros: Everything, if you want to sit back relax and make some dinosaurs then this game is for you. Cons: I have found no issues but remember this game is not a hardcore customization park sim, if that is what you want you will not find it here.

Before I make my review I want to make clear that I am an Assassins Creed hardcore fan. I own all the books, statues, games etc. I love Assassins Creed it is my favorite series of all time. Now to the review. This game is not Assassins Creed, not in the terms we have come to expect. It instead seems to focus on a piece of Eden "very powerful weapon/tool" in the Assassins Creed universe, but makes no mention of Assassins or Templars. The series seems to be stepping more and more away from the genre that made it successful and into a full on RPG, which is fine. Except in order to make an RPG successful you need a great leveling system and an amazing story. Only problem is that every quest in the game is the same. Go to X and kill Y soldiers or go to Y and get X loot. It is repetitive to the extreme. The story is small and seems distant to all the repetitive quests. This game goes back to what made Black Flag so successful and that is the open seas and sea battles. That again seems distant and forced as it seems 90% of quests and story is on the main land. Do not get me started on the micro transactions. I spent $140 on the ultimate edition but am still trying to figure out what that bought me aside from the base game and some gear that is level 1 and is to expensive to upgrade unless you use real money to buy crafting materials. I have spent an additional $70 on maps, and boosters. Things that should have come with that $140 ultimate edition. Yes boosters are required in this game unless you want to spend hours getting one level past 25. Some people might say but leveling is part of an RPG. True it is... but not like this. This game is just Origins with a new coat of paint, but terrible story. This is the worst Assassins Creed game I have ever played and it hurts me to say that about my beloved series. The only reason it gets a 5 is because of the name Assassins Creed.
