If you know nothing of the book or the lore, you’ll be confused because all this movie is is about is mumbling about space politics. It’s like watching a trailer for the sequel. Hopefully that movie has some substance because I couldn’t follow this movie or why everything was happening or why i should care about the characters.

Ok movie. Acting wasn’t great. looking at you Jesse Plemmons. conclusion wasn’t that satisfying. it’s just really straight forward. No twists or turns. it just goes from point a to point b and then it ends

I watched the original and the new one back to back and there's no justification for how bad this advertisement of a movie is. The first one is a cult classic and still stands up today despite the bad acting. Space Jam 2 is just a money grab and another pathetic attempt to make Lebron James the new Michael Jordan. He may wear his number and he may star in Space Jam, but he'll never be MJ. Hes just a wannabe. This movie is just Warner Brothers patting themselves on the back for 2 hours and Lebron James buttkissing. By the way hes a horrendous actor, much worse than MJ. The plot is a mess. The original is simple. This one just throws constant references at you at every angle at all times and its distracting. Also Lebron hyping his team up after they're down? Thats out of character for him. He loves to quit on teams midgame and leave them. If this movie were any accurate, he would have joined the Goon Squad at halftime. I'm not blinded by nostalgia. Its not because I just don't like Lebron James as a person. Its just a bad movie. And I know its for kids but there are dozens of adult references every 5 seconds so I beg to differ. If they were trying to appeal to fans of the original they failed miserably.

If you get a chance, watch the extended trilogy. You’ll never go back to the theatrical cut. It’s been almost 20 years since Lord of the Ring and it still remains my all time favorite film franchise. It’s so good, I watch all three every single year. The Hobbit failed miserably. Meanwhile, The Lord of the Rings has aged so much better because of the lack of reliance of CGI. Ill take costume and makeup over fake effects any day. This is about the only film that gives me goosebumps every time. Between the visuals and the amazing music, it is the perfect film and earned every nomination it received. You don’t get 13 Academy Awards without it being a benchmark in the film industry. And that’s what it is. The bar is so high no current film can top it and never will. Today films are too lazy.

Just Mercy is the best film of the year, all 10 days of it. I haven’t had a film punch me in the gut like that in forever. All the actors were amazing and I expect some oscar nominations. It was a very POWERFUL movie with a great message. It actually changed my stance on death row. Long after it’s over, you’ll be thinking about it. I could barely talk on the car ride home because I was so lost for words. This is what a good movie does. It feels real because it is real. This is a serious problem in our country. Its a great look in the mirror at the American justice system and I think everyone including politicians and law enforcement should see it. We see a mugshot on TV and no one sees the human side to them. We just see the picture and the media convinces us they’re guilty. Innocent until proven guilty is a lie and men have spent their lives locked away just because the justice department puts the importance of closing cases and getting convictions rather than punishing the person who actually did it. They don’t care, as long as someone takes the fall. And I don’t see how victims families sit with that when the real killer is still at large. If this movie doesn’t make your eyes water, then you’re not even human. On final note. the film was perfect - the writing, directing, and acting were all perfect.

I’m a big fan of Tarantino but this one was just okay. It ranks towards the bottom of his portfolio but since this is about Hollywood, Hollywood critics will eat that sh** up. Same as La La Land. Usually the user scores are higher than the critic rating but this time it’s the opposite and that says something. I went in expecting more I guess. It just didn’t seem to have any story at all and no development or explanation of anything, just about 3 hours of nostalgia trip. People who lived in that era will probably love this film more than I did but at the end I was like - that’s it? It’s a well-made, well acted movie but most Tarantino films have amazing dialogue scenes that this film lacked. It was mostly just montages of old 60s style movies and TV shows. Overall it was funny and the cast was terrific. I’d recommend seeing it but it won’t blow your mind or anything. it’s

I love the original Aladdin and I think it’s one of the finest Disney movies out there. Aladdin has one of the best stories so how could they mess this up... Well to start off, the actors, all of them, including Will Smith, absolutely ****. It was a very cringe-y movie. Guy Ritchie was a terrible choice for director. It had this weird fast forwarding and slow motion mixed into it. Oh and to make it worse Disney has to roll out the feminism agenda by making the women smart and wise and the prince courting Jasmine, an absolute moron. I figured they’d go the cocky arrogant route but no let’s make him stupid. Oh and they made him white with some terrible German accent because Allah forbid they make someone of color look dumb. This next bit is a tiny spoiler but not really. Jasmine wants to be Sultan. Ok cool. Women in Saudi Arabia just got the right to drive a car. That’s pushing it a little. Overall the original is much more charming and told the story better in less time.

Gonna say what I can without any spoilers. Saw this twice in one week. It'll change you. You'll experience every emotion you are capable of. Its funny, romantic, and heartbreaking. Definitely my favorite story in any film I've seen this year. Cooper and Gaga have really good chemistry in this movie. I felt like they were actually in love. The characters were fantastic and no good movie gets by with subpar characters. This movie develops them pretty well. The songs are amazing. This is the first time I've felt compelled to rush out and buy the soundtrack. There's lots of original songs, which some were written by Willy Nelson's son. They're all fantastic. Bradley Cooper could probably pass as a musician in real life. He's certainly a hell of a director. The concert scenes are so immersive that you feel like you're there. Don't count on a happy ending. As inspiring as the movie is, you'll leave the theater quiet and go home and turn on a Disney movie to balance it out. One of the saddest movies since Marley and Me.

I knew going into this movie it was going to be another over-hyped Marvel flick. I also knew, hollywood critics would give it the Get Out treatment. Movies that portray women and blacks in a positive roll will automatically get perfect scores. Regarding Marvel movies, seriously almost all of them are overrated. Knowing nothing about the Black Panther comics, the film doesn't introduce the characters to someone who doesn't know who they are. I was lost the first half of the movie. On top of that, it just didn't make sense. How does vibranium, a metal, create all the tech advancements in Wakanda? The suit I get. Hard metal = bulletproof. But Marvel treats it like its the cure all - medical remedies, magnetic railways and future tech. Thats just lazy. If anything Wakanda could trade it and make a fortune on it boosting their economy and creating their futuristic metropolis. But thats not the case. Its kept a secret, which brings me to the message of the movie - Wakanda hiding while blacks across the world suffer. That is true, they are kinda bad for not helping their neighbors when they were being put in bondage. I won't spoil the story but its kinda like the Lion King. The visuals in this movie are pretty cool and the acting is good but the fights were just meh. I actually was bored most of the time. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Im not giving it a zero because thats just ridiculous. But for me it barely held my attention so 5 it is.

I guess everything Marvel is a joke now. It wouldn't kill them to take a serious or emotional moment for once. I hated Gardians 1 and 2 because it tried way to damn hard to be funny. This movie did the same but not as bad. It was a good movie but had so many problems. Like how is he getting knocked out by tasers when he has lightning coming out of his body. Why is Valkyrie bi-racial. I kinda picture that woman who plays Ragnar's wife from Vikings as the perfect cast but no everything as to be multicultural now. Isn't that just as bad as white washing or cultural appropriation? It didn't bother me that much but she has the cliche snobby tough girl attitude and she just wasn't likable at all. Kate Blanchette was great but tried to be too seductive all the time, always **** her head to the side trying to look cute. I don't know thought, I should get a more Norse - Viking feel from Asgardians, not this forced multicultural cast. To be fair, I'm not a hypocrite. I won't watch Gods of Egypt because they got a Scottish and Danish guy as the two stars. Also Call of Duty lets you be a black female **** soldier in multiplayer. This is getting out of hand.

Good: - The Georgie scene was very well done. It might make you cry. - Dialogue - Though different from the book (there were MANY changes), the structure of the plot worked, even though it made the movie hard to be scary (too much Pennywise moments in short time). It could have been a pretty decent movie even without the clown in it. - Bill, Beverly, Eddie and Richie's character development was good (some others were sidelined unfortunately). - The shift from the 50s to the 80s worked out well. It felt authentic. Also they left out all the sexual stuff from the book (Thank God, I was thinking at the end if that scene were in the movie, it would have gotten wierd). - Overall a good movie. Bad: - CGI (very fake looking like the Conjuring 2's Crooked Man. It really reduces the scare factor). Also the shaking and quick movement was more ridiculous than scary. - Character development (Henry Bowers and Ben Hanscomb in particular). However as a group, the characters were alright. - Pacing - Lining up countless Pennywise scenes in a short amount of time. This is terrible pacing for a horror movie. No build up, just jumpscare after jumpscare after jumpscare. It got repetitive. The more you see the monster, the less scary it becomes. There were some standout moments though. It also was necessary to tell each loser's encounter with the clown but like I said, it got repetitive. I'll be generous and give it a 7 because reading the book always makes the movie harder to enjoy. I also have never hyped a movie up like this in years. I will enjoy it more the second time now that I know what changes were made and what to expect. This is a very SIMPLIFIED version of the kid's section of the massive book. They also intentionally left the mystery of It's origin and deadlights for the sequel.

I've never given a movie such a low score but I have to this time to help lower the ridiculous overall score. While I appreciate this movie not going over the top, it just doesn't **** me into the story like other war movies. There is zero blood. It shows a guy getting bombed and he remains in one piece. The score was good but all it did was make everyone anxious. I know Zimmer wanted to create a sense of urgency since the film is about an evacuation but even the most simple, boring things, the music is going off the rails trying to rise up some suspense. It WILL drive you nuts. Take the music out of this movie and there's probably 20 minutes or less of dialogue and you're left with the most boring movie ever. I could give it a 5 but honestly I would never watch this twice. I don't know a single name of any of the characters. There's zero development once so ever so why give a crap about any of them. You can barely understand them also. Hacksaw Ridge was too Hollywood and too over the top but at least it was entertaining. This movie's only positive notes is the bone-chilling sound of German fighters about to dive bomb the soldiers. Nolan isn't a bad director but he's a terrible story teller. All of his movies are vague and confusing.

QUICKSILVER QUICKSILVER QUICKSILVER!!! Once again he steals the show with a very similar awesome scene. Jennifer Lawrence was annoying as always. Mistique is a villian. Just because precious J-Law is playing her doesn't mean you can make her good. She's a villain. Always has been. This movie has some amazing cinematography and as Deadpool puts it - superhero landings. Sometimes they were going a little to hard on the special effects with the pew pew choo woosh (whenever they were doing the mind tricks). Overall its better than BvS but not as good as Civil War. Its one of the better Xmen movies but not better than Days of Future Past. The Quicksilver scene alone was what made me hype this movie and it didn't disappoint. Worth seeing.

I rarely give out tens and never to comic book movies, but this here is the most fun I've had at the movies in a very long time. Most super hero movies are very serious with some forced humor that falls flat. Deadpool made me laugh from the opening credit scene to the after closing credit scene. I wanted more when it was over. Ryan Reynolds is perfect for the role. If you're ok with vulgarity and have a good sense of humor, Deadpool is for you.

Since this is Episode 7, I wanted to give it a 7 but just couldn't do it. Actually the movie is pretty decent. I was going in expecting it to be way worse but you could tell they put a lot of money in the budget, except for the writing. Honestly is there any Star Wars movie with decent dialogue. Also the movie relied on bringing back old characters to let nostalgia make the movie better than it seems. So as far as the pros go, the CG looked really good and the overall story and setup for the next movies was good. I want to give this episode a 7 out of 10, but I’m going to be brutally honest. The movie was good, but not great. I’ll keep this organized and list the good and the bad. The good – great action and special effects, nostalgic old characters, music and cinematography. The bad – new characters, lame villain, and bad writing. Good: This is a good Star Wars movie. I would rank it in the middle below Episode 3, 5, and 6. That means it’s better than the films of the first trilogies so this one is off to a great start. The action, sound, and special effects are all suburb. Obviously they had a blank check because this is easily a billion dollar movie. Bad: So this is a billion dollar movie but they couldn’t hire a decent writer? Honestly I can’t think of any Star Wars movie with good acting or writing. Usually the acting is terrible. This time around it’s mostly ok but my biggest problem with this movie is Fin. No I don’t hate him because he’s black. I hate him because he does not convince me that he trained his whole life to be a storm trooper. The guy is fidgety and always **** wind (Like Jack from Lost – maybe it’s a JJ Abrams thing?). Every line that comes out of his mouth is corny. This isn’t the actors fault. It’s the writers. They clearly did not put any effort into this character. He’s just flat awful. Most of the dialogue feels forced. The conversations don’t seem natural and it seems the actors are just taking turns saying their lines. The film has plenty of one-liners and not a single chuckle in the movie theater occurred. You want a movie writer who knows how to come up with dialogue, go see Hateful Eight, because Tarantino is excellent at that. The second new character is Rey, the girl who falls prey to the cliché strong female protagonist who single handedly can take down an army of guys who were trained their entire life with a weapons she’s never even used before. She is hot though and her accent is sexy. Lastly the villain Kilo Ren or whatever is one of the weakest villains I’ve seen. I’ll wrap it up with this one question. So Fin is a Stormtrooper and he has no problem aiming a gun but every single other Stormtrooper can’t hit the broad side of the barn? The Hobbit had the same problem. The good guys cut down hordes of enemies like butter with no opposition. For the next Star Wars movies, I want to see some real WAR! The beginning of Episode 3 is what I’m talking about. Still to this day, that was one of the most exciting scenes ever. I know I complained a lot, but go ahead and see it. Everyone is. Just hang in there until Chewy and Han Solo arrive. Then it gets good, because like I said, Fin is terrible.

People who are giving this a 10 are the people who don't understand the point of the 0 - 10 scale. If they hate it they give it a 0. If they love it they give it a 10. For me this was a good movie, but not a great movie. The opening scene was the best part and unfortunately in a 2 and a half hour movie, isn't a good thing. The biggest problem is the villain. He's hardly in the movie and he just doesn't deliver. It was all very underwhelming. I couldn't even tell you the film's climax because it just seemed like they were going through the motions and it just eventually ended. Its a classic cat and mouse chase and as usual the villain instead of just killing the protagonist, plays games with him and makes it possible for him to escape. There were a lot of spy movie cliches. Car chases, shootouts, fist fighting and he gets the girl. Its the same old routine. It was an entertaining movie but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list. If you like Bond movies, go see it.

I was a fan of Lord of the Rings since the Fellowship. Needless to say these Hobbit movies take a huge dump on the first three movies just like the new Star Wars movies did. PROS I honestly can't think of much. If you liked World of Warcraft, this will be a movie you might like. CONS I can say this was the worst of the three Hobbit movies. How can the guy who gave us Lord of the Rings, which featured battle scenes so epic, they sent chills down my spine, sink to this level. The entire movie was underwhelming. They brought in too many characters that didn't need to be there and established subplots with characters I still don't know the names of. I couldn't feel any empathy for anyone, even when they died. They were just there. Everything is drawn out way too long. The beginning of the movie honestly would have made a better ending to Desolation of Smaug. I was against the Hobbit being made into 3 movies before and I stand by that. The biggest killer is that the movie relies way too heavily on CGI. It looks fake and destroys everything. The Lord of the Rings only used CGI when it was needed. Massive hordes of orcs I understand, but when you do close ups of these characters and they're animated, it just doesn't feel the same as makeup and costume. Another thing to point out, Jackson needs to cool it on the panoramic shots. The camera never sits still, its always soaring through the air. It gets annoying. The movie was just "meh". I didn't totally hate it. I've seen worse, but the whole Hobbit trilogy has been a letdown. They brought in characters like Legolas and make references to Aragorn and Gimli to satisfy our nostalgia for Lord of the Rings, but ultimately it just gets in the way. I LOVE Smaug. The one highlight in this whole trilogy is whenever Smaug is on camera. For everything else, it wasn't done the right way.

They should have just called it Twister 2. I watched both for comparisons sake and there's a ton of recycled plot. One big difference is 18 years in progress of special effects. They're great. The tornados look and feel real (when I say feel, watch the movie with a high-end speaker system and you'll see). Of course there are the storm chasers, but there are also other story lines. There's a family story and then there's the two idiots running around trying to become famous on the internet. You'll either love them or hate them. Overall it was an ok movie. VERY INTENSE. This is the kind of movie that doesn't let up and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story is very predictable. Like I said, its Twister 2. Its all about a storm system thats the biggest the state has ever seen (sound familiar). There's an eventual F-5 and bla bla bla. If you liked Twister, you'll like this movie.

First off this was a weird movie. I thought I would hate it. Sort of do but at the same time it surpassed my expectations. There's a lot of voice-over with conversations said in the future while showing something different. Kind of confuses you a little. There are a lot of boobs in this movie. I would say thats a plus but at the same time, it takes away from the gritty realism that the movie seems to try to achieve. Girls don't take their tops off in public and not by the dozens, at least from my experience. There were many porny shots that didn't seem necessary. I know why they were there. Without them I most people would have lost interest in this movie. It lacks depth and character development. 45 minutes into the movie and the I didn't feel like I knew any of the main cast except for Selena Gomez's character. She ends up leaving which leaves you with the other terrible 3. The characters are very hate-able. Selena Gomez looks like shes 12 so it kind of bothers me seeing her in this kind of environment. Though she is the only character with some moral standards. The other 3 are skanks and I personally cannot stand them or other girls who are like them. James Franco does a pretty good job. I'll give it a 6. It wasn't wonderful to watch, it was weird, but at the same time it was a lot better than I was expecting.
