Its an "ok" game at most.
Clunky combat system, very conselish.
Alot of classes (mages/sorcs) locks you in on attacks so you have no idea whats going on around you.
Clunky climbing system that often makes you fall to your death or climb the wrong way. If your climbing a dragon for example you constantly have to watch your stamina becouse if you fall of, your dead.
Uninteresting generic story.
Uninteresting characters with no background story or depth, including the main characters.
Buggy quests that you can easily miss.
Very few enemy types that you fight over and over.
*** enemies are just a big timewaster.
Bad AI on pawns that often falls to their death.
Tedious traveling system.

Final Fantasy VII Remake1

Square Enix has lost what once made them great for a long time now. All they had to do to reclaim the throne was to do what Persona 5 did. Instead, they are now only doing boring hack and slash games. Ontop of that they are milking the original game to the extreme with ALOT of filler content that are just boring. So many things that made the original game epic, are now gone.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries5
Dec 12, 2019
This game is just Mechwarrior Online with updated graphics. ALL the sounds are directly taken from MWO. The UI and controls are exactly the same, but looks worse. The story is exactly like Battletech, This game is pretty much the FPS version of the same game. The hangar graphics is laughable and the NPCs looks like they are taken from Half Life 1. I would give this game 5/10 and thats beeing kind tbh.

To be honest, i think this game is beeing quite overrated. Theres nothing special about the game that havent been done before, infact it has quite alot less interesting content than other games in its genre. Theres not alot of enemy variation, basicly around 5 or 6, and its the same ones in every zone. The weapon upgrade system feels kinda lackluster after a while. The game also suffers from some get stuck in enviromental issues and "i cant jump over this little rock" syndrome. And all the oh so tedious "sidequests" that are all the same, explore some ? with the same mobs in all of them, loot come crappy item that you dont need and repeat. Its like doing the most boring part of Witcher 3 all over again, but even more boring. The English translation is also cinrgeworthy, with Americans talking in "russian" accent. How hard could it be to actually get real Russians speaking english doing the voices? The game looks nice, but looking nice is far from enough.

World of Final Fantasy10
Feb 21, 2017
I will rate this game by todays standard compared to other japanese RPGs. THIS is the route Final Fantasy should go. World of Final Fantasy is going back to the roots, to what made the series great. Its a testament that turn based combat is NOT something of the past and are still very enjoyable. A Final Fantasy 7 remake with this graphic and keeping the old combat system would be the best thing since FFX. The stacking system is inspired by the materia system from FF7 with different monsters having different skills that you can combine. Equip two monsters with Fira, and it turns into Firaga. Im not a fan of Chibi but the game is so superior to any FF since FFX i can overlook it.

Final Fantasy XV2

Playing both FFXV and World of Final Fantasy its clear to me, even though with a much cmaller budget, World of Final Fantasy is the superior game. I dont know what happened with the FF series but its more aking to DMC or GoW than FF nowadays. The battlesystem is better in WoFF due to its turn based combat, a testament that the system has not died. FF15 combat is uninspired and quickly becomes boring, baiscly pushing a button over and over. Holding circle or square to win every fight, and the magic system is so boring. Changing weapons doesnt do much either. The characters are uninteresting and sotryling isnt much better. Im scared what SE is gonna do with FF7 Remake if they use this as the measurement.

Final Fantasy XII3

Grewing up on games like Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, Secret of Mana, Lufia, Suikoden, Chrono Trigger and so on, this game leaves you with sadness. Sadness in what the JRPG genre has become. Me, and many with me, love the combat system that defined the JRPG genre, the Turn Based Combat, or later upgraded form Active Time Combat. Those 2 combatsystems gave you more control of your characters and gave you a more strategic combat, beeing able to counter enemies attacks and figuring out the patterns of your enemies. FFXII started a new era that have taken the FF series in a wrong direction, it was the starting point of the more westernized hack and slash direction. The story is very bland and uninteresting. The characters are even more about fancy clothes. Vaan is a bad copy of Tidus but if possible, even more uninteresting and annoying. Most other characters looks their taken out of any boyband. Removing the traditional combatsystem, total lack of elements like open world, airship and minigames and uninteresting story and characters, gives this game a 3.5*
