This game is trash. It is too linear and overly scripted. Save yourself the trouble and money and watch it off YouTube if you want the story. But the story, my goodness the story is cringy at every moment... I would rather you not waste time on this trash. I did, so you don't have to.

Jumping around and shooting randomly in the hopes of hitting something is the overall premise of this game. You do not need to be good cause there is no strategy, tactic or teamwork required. You go out, shoot, get killed. And you respawn and start over. That's it. Over and over. Everything is a mess. Sometimes I won't even know how I end up being best player or or close. For no reason or no intention. I was just spamming buttons. WTF. The graphics looks like PS3 but I suppose it could be the art style they're going for.... Not terrible but I cannot say the game has good graphics. You will get a headache after 15 minutes because you will be seeing bright colours flashing everywhere, numbers, particles all over, explosions, lasers, players jumping up and down..... it's all random and you won't know what's going on half the time. This is a game that feels new in the first match, and anything after you will feel the repetition. There is a wide range of characters with wacky design. There's this one penguin operating a mech. Lol. So some props shall be given to the character design. But what is the point of designing your characters when you are fixed to first person?? This game would work so much better if it was third person. Trust me. So all in all, this game isn't fun. It's overly repetitive. No idea how people are giving it 10 out of 10. There is no honesty. Please I implore you to watch Youtube gameplay vids before going ahead and buying this. Don't just look at scores. I returned this game in 2 days. FAIL!

Does the developer think we have never played an rpg before in our lives? Does the developer not know there are other rpgs out there in the market? Probably not and therefore... This game's developer, Lionhead Studios is now history!!! Nobody else's fault but their own. Fable being their core franchise, it should have evolved and moved forward. But with every installment the game is lacking improvements, and not moving forward at all.... Being mediocre is what this developer was all about which led to their ultimate failure. Now, lets talk Fable 3. When the game starts it's an instant fail. You choose either a male or female. That's your character creation. That's it. You won't be able to edit any facial part.... FAIL! And throughout the opening, you get a few choices, or 'important' decisions. And guess what, It's either black or white. No gray or vague decisions..... FAIL! Graphics - cartoonish and yet they couldn't get it right. The world isn't beautiful or unique... It's dull and boring more like. The colour scheme isn't vibrant. The environment and atmosphere are lacking... The world isn't alive and they want to call this open world?? FAIL! NPCS are forgettable, lacking personalities. Romance is super lame. FAIL! Combat equals spam left and right mouse button over and over. No strategy or tactic required. FAIL! Addition of the sanctuary as a pitiful excuse for UI and menu incompetence. FAIL! Dear Lionhead Studios, look at mirror to see what a fail is. And let me add insult to your recent injury. No one will miss you guys!!!

Max Payne 3 has all the qualities you'd come to expect from a Rockstar game by now. It has awesome graphics, very fluid combat mechanics. Running, snapping to cover all look and feel very natural. Guns feel real and shots feel impact-ful. But is this game a 10/10 like everyone is saying here? NO! And here are my reasons. 1. Unlikable main character. In MP3 you are forced to play as this alcoholic old man that complains so much about his life. He talks too much and has to self narrate everything he does. Lonely old man that rants too much and complains and complains... hmm.... 2. Not openworld. Story campaign is ultra linear and everything is scripted. The game is holding your hand all the way. 3. Same thing from start to finish. It's so repetitive. Cutscene, run to cover and shoot, and again cutscene over and over with the occasional turret gun control. Omg ****..... It's so tedious that I gave up after an hour into the story.... It's just not fun. 4. Side characters are stereotypical, uninteresting, unfunny, unoriginal..... you just don't give a d@mn about them. Online mode is not as bad. Again, no freeroam. But you get the standard Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag that sort of thing. Can be fun at times I suppose. Overall, not a terrible game. If you really want to play this, play it online (but I think everyone has moved on to other games by now). Otherwise, don't bother. It's mediocre at best.

Not sure why everybody is calling this a true RPG experience.... There is a very weak or non-existent storyline. There is absolutely no immersion and no NPCs, no towns, and no interactions besides fighting. It's ultra linear and while props should be given to how challenging the game is, most of the time it's just a timing thing. You study how the enemy works by dying a few times, then time yourself to dodge, block and strike. Different enemies, different approach. It will be the same from start to finish. Boss fights will take alot of time but feel so satisfied after bringing one down. The combat is not fluid. It's just doesn't feel natural. Your character is like a skeleton. Without any meat. I dunno.... Something like that.. The world is boring and you will feel alone all the time. Online component, almost non-existent besides some hints dropped by other players here and there. No co-op. So forget it, Your character doesn't talk. The music is like it's not there. And the graphics are quite bad to be honest. Not the worst game I've played. But it's just same same same. From start to finish. Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 2, Bloodbourne.... All the same with little to no innovation.. The new Dark Souls 3 is going to be same thing I bet. But hopefully I'm wrong. Hopefully. So to sum up, one word - boring.

This is what you call an open-world game. You go anywhere and do anything. As you explore the different areas, you'll see npcs doing their chores, going to bed at night, living out their day-to-day lives, wild creatures, fishes in the water, bandits, everything.. And DRAGONS!!! The world is alive!! The world is so beautiful. A truly immersive experience you wouldn't want to miss. It is a much more in depth open-world as compared to newer games like Fallout 4, or the not-so-open world games like MGSV and The Witcher 3. Play good or bad. Join the thieves guild or be an assassin with the Dark Brotherhood. Play with magic or swing your sword while running around like a crazy person. You can get married or adopt a child. It's all entirely up to you!!. When you are given a quest, it's up to you on how you want to approach the situation. You want to fight everyone, you can. Sneak pass and play stealth, Yup. Set up traps, go archer? Magical spell so you can feel like Harry Porter or whatever? Or you might be even lucky enough to talk your way through in some cases. All is possible. Everything rarely feels scripted or linear and It doesn't demand that you approach it the way they want you to (ie MGSV and TW3). Story and side quests are mostly well written. It requires quite a few decision making and your decisions actually do change the world. It's bizarre. Characters are well designed too. The armour, the weapons are sooo awesome. They look nice and feel nice. Crafting is so addictive. Do not leave them out when playing this game. Music is nice (though I think Oblivion has better music). You can create your own character, male or female, have different races to choose from (not forced to play as random old man). And mods!!! The mods add so much. The graphics mod will make this game better looking than games lots of newer games. Overall, Skyrim is a game on a different level. It's the ultimate game to date that doesn't feel outdated in terms of the gameplay. Slap on a graphics mod and you will have the ultimate package. More than 500 hours spent on this game. Best! 10 out of 10!!

Uncharted 3 is... a very awesome game!!..... to watch that is. Because the story is alright, characters are quite likable, graphics look absolutely amazing and you just wonder how the PS3 could handle this. The voice acting, the music, this is a work of art. Unfortunately, the game is not that awesome to play. Why? Because Uncharted 3 is super linear and everything is sooo scripted. EVERYTHING!! It's like Tomb Raider, walk past this point, explosion will happen. Walk across the bridge, bridge collapse.... They actually believe people will go " OMG I totally did not see that happening!! My heart is beating so fast!! Wow!!" Combat mechanics.... it's pretty mediocre. Not terrible, mind you. But somehow I feel Nathan lack actual weight, or defy laws of gravity. It just doesn't feel natural. Seems like he's floating most of the time. Because of this, in Online mode everybody is just running around jumping around crazily at each other. Seem like a mess. Guns feel like they have no impact, like paintball guns. Final verdict, as a show piece, 10/10. I suggest watching the cutscenes on Youtube. There are plenty of compiled cutscenes vids by now. As as a video game, it does nothing new. You're doing the same linear things from start to end. I played about 2 hours and had to stop cos it was getting boring. Sold it and watched the rest on Youtube. it's just not that fun like many people are saying here.. 6/10.

If you are a die hard fan of the Warriors series, then this will quench your thirst, cos it offers more of the same. I've played all of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games to date and this new Empires iteration is... well for a full-priced game, underwhelming to say the least =( I'll tell you why. 1. Same cr@ppy graphics. Not even any slight improvement. It looks like a PS3 game. 2. Character creation is lame. For the facial options it's exactly the same from the PS3 Empires games. They just ported it over without any addition. Come on!! All your created characters will somehow look the same. Teckmo Koei, this is pure laziness!!! 3. You cannot choose a character and craft his story and ambitions. You can't rebel and create your own clan... Instead, you choose a clan with a pool of officers you have no direct control of. You can't choose who to marry or who to be sworn sibling with. In SW4E, it's mostly random, or first come first serve and you don't have a say in it. 4. Lots of cutscenes, Most of them short and lame. Make no sense. 5. Diplomacy is bare boned. You often don't need it. 6. Cosmetic / campaign dlcs. This is mostly the same game as Samurai Warirors 4. Tecmo Koei just trying to nickel and dime us. What's up with Samurai Wariors 4-II??? This isn't Dead or Alive 5. 6. Repetitive as you'll be doing the same thing for all battles all the way from start to end. There's no different objectives, just capture the bases and eliminate enemy commander. In Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, there were variations... So why remove them? Should have improved on them. 7. Horses are ****. You hold the left trigger to summon them and they'll come running from behind from left to right, from right to left towards you. It doesn't know how to run straight towards you. All mounts look so similar and act **** you just can't be bothered with them. So aside from these negatives, the good are as expected in a Warriors game. 1. So many characters, all individually voiced acted and have individual unique move sets. It's so amazing to look at them as you hack your way pass thousands of enemy soldiers. So this what makes the Warriors games amazing. 2. The new castle system. I like it. I like just looking and seeing my officers in their quarters, It's like the ant farm view in Xcom 2. Okay, maybe not as elaborate as Xcom 2. Please expand on this in the next Empires game and add more castle customisation. 3. The Politics side though very simple, can be rather addictive as you try to build up Troop Strength, increase commerce / rice yield and most importantly, level up your officers. 4. In-game battle stratagems and tactics are nicely implemented. 5. Game has more content than new AAA games ie Street Fighter 5. Overall, as I owned a copy of Samurai Warriors 4 (not 4-II), I feel the additions in SW4E does not warrant a full price tag. It feels more like a dlc really. But still, I'm enjoying the game and will totally recommend this if it was half price. Or, if you're a super die hard fan like myself =)

Got Ground Zero for free. Thank you PS+. A very short game but Konami claims there will be high replay value. Completed the game. Very nice graphics and cool stealth play. The only problem is, every mission you are doing the same thing, sneaking around, knocking out a guy on patrol. Getting spotted and run and hide for a few minutes. Then same thing all over, every mission. Thank goodness this is a short game, cos imagine doing this in Phantom Pain all the way through... It's gets so repetitive and how long you want to be sneaking around anyway? It's not fun after 1 hour. So thanks for showing me the gameplay that is to be in Phantom Pain. Cos now I know I won't buy it and won't have to waste time on it cos I won't enjoy it. Many people would. Not me though. Another problem I have with the game is the main character. Guys, it's 2015 well, 2016 now why can't we create our character?? I don't want to play this random old man with an eye patch. Same thing with the Witcher, who happen to be even older than Venom Snake. Omg what's with the popularity of old men these days?? lol. It's not a terrible game as I said, the game mechanic is quite solid. Just repetitive (like my review). But playing GZ once, I don't know if I want anymore of Metal Gear.. Alright then. Signing out.

The Brits are a little weak to be honest. True they can set up emplacements which are powerful, but Axis players are not that dumb. If there was any wermacht players, you'd be sure they'll whip out mortars and the emplacements become sitting ducks =( Once the enemy tanks start rolling in it's pretty much bye bye to these emplacements. Brits shine when you play the game defensively, so you better hope you have a Soviet player on your side or else you're pretty much scr*wed. Because if you do decide to play offensively, the Brits does not have 1 heavy tank that can take on a German heavy. Not one... Hmm... You'll have to risk a few medium tanks to flank it. So at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is, you can keep the Axis at bay, but for how long exactly? The Brits are a nice addition to the game as it breathes some fresh new air into this somewhat old game. But as it stands, when it comes to Allies, the Soviets are still more powerful and Brits as a faction is rather weak tbh.

I'm not a huge fps gamer. In fact I can't remember when was the last time I played one. I did play Duke Nukem, Medal of Honor in the old days... Anyway, decided to give BF4 a try after watching some trailers and man them graphics look awesome. Bought it day one.Took almost a day to download this game and finally..... This game has one of the best graphics in an fps I've ever seen. Comparing to it's biggest rival COD, BF4 blows COD out of the freaking water (at least in terms of the graphics)!! The second plus for this game is the factions. Now you also get to play as China! No longer is it going to be America vs AlQaeda this AlQaeda that... America vs Russia. Same ****... Now you get something so fresh. Join China and shoot Americans lol. This is what I'd like to see. Different perspectives =) Ok, besides graphics and factions, I'd say the shooting mechanics are well done too. The story mode is too scripted and linear but nobody plays it anyway so I won't judge the game by its sp. Overall, Battlefield 4 is a decent shooter with one striking problem that all shooters suffer from. The repetitiveness omgg!! You run, you gun, you camp, you capture locations, you get shot, and you wake up again. Over and over. So in 2 hours you'll be doing the same thing. After 4 hours, still the **** after 10 hours. mate, it's just the same over and over. I mean, how long do you expect anyone to be doing this?? There's no strategy involved, no cooperation with teammates, no creativity, it's blind and mindless shooting. Lots of people are into that these days. WELL NOT ME!!! Open-world? Nope not really there's nothing to do in the world besides reading other people's messages or monitoring their scripted personal lives... Can't punch a random guy in the face. FAIL. You play a guy who talks like a ghoul (in Fallout) and dresses like a hobo without any form of personality. He's unlikable and you are forced to play this random guy. Wtf Ubisoft? Haven't played a Street Fighter game since the PS2 so was at the game store the other day and saw Street Fighter V for the PS4. It was in fact being demonstrated on their tv. So I kindly asked for the controller to try it out as I used to play Street Fighter alot way back during the Sega Saturn days. Played a few matches as Chunli as she was already chosen. Seems fun but I had to mash the buttons as I didn't play the game for a long time thinking, I might just grow into this. Was quite excited as other patrons in the store watched me. Sorry guys but I s*ck at it! Went to character selection, saw there was only 16 characters. So I ask the guy over the counter "any other unlockable character?" The guy said no. OK. Doesn't matter. So lets see who's in the 16. You get the standard Ryu, Ken, Chunli and Cammy. There's no Guile, no Blanka, no Balrog, no Sagat, no Feilong, no Akuma. Instead we get like around 4 new characters, and you get....Birdie!!! WTFFF!!! Who on earth would tell you "I buy Street FIghter because I want to play a fat@ss Birdie?" Who?? So I gave the controller back to the guy and said no thank you. Was so baffled. So I went home, did more research. Apparently characters like Guile will be released as free dlc down the line among other characters. Story mode is like 3 to 4 fights per character and you get to watch a slideshow. And apparently a story dlc is being released in June too. Ehm... ok. Then I look at the PS store, THIS GAME HAS A SEASON PASS!!!!!!! Wut?? So the game in its current state has sooo little content, and yet Capcom released it and they gonna charge dlc in the future??? So what? Some characters free some aren't? New modes? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Guys, like what other people saying, the game isn't complete. Don't support it at full price. GTAV is the best game I've played on the PS4 so far. Why? Well everybody knows what this game is. It's an open-world sandbox game filled with so many activities and is not afraid of letting you do what you want to do. You can go anywhere and do whatever you like unlike many other games that claim to be open-world but really aren't such as The Witcher 3, Dragon Age, MGSV etc... I didn't bother with the single player mode because it somehow feels heavily scripted and linear, which I feel confining and restrictive in an open-world game. If this was a single player only game this will score very low. The 3 characters are unlikable and you can't relate to any of them let alone care about their lives and story. Spent about 2 hours and gave up. Jumped straight into online mode. And omg online mode where the game shines. You create your character and basically do activities to earn money to buy cars, apartments, clothing among other stuff. There's lots of missions available, or activities such as team deathmatch, races, capture the flag and many more. You also have heists, vip activities etc. Now imagine all this activities being played out with other actual online players and friends. That's the beauty of it. Or if you like, just mess around in freeroam in 30-player lobbies (which is what I like to do with my friends). The online mode is being updated on a regular basis and you get new stuff to buy or new activities as time goes by. So much to say but I think you get the overall picture. It's an awesome game and I'm having a blast playing it almost every night. Rockstar, GTA6 doesn't need story mode, just focus on online and give us an even more epic awesome online game EVERRR!!!!!! Perfect score (based on online play) 10 out of 10. Bravo!!

Fun to explore and you do what you want to do as expected in a Bethesda rpg game. It's no overhaul from Fallout 3 as the graphics and combat gameplay are only slight improvements. But the core of what makes Fallout 3 or New Vegas fun is still here in Fallout 4 - immersing yourself in an open world, roam around, never in one place, just roam from town to town as you are the wanderer. Overall improvement in terms of graphics, combat.. but.... there are some other downsides besides the small improvements or lack of innovation. - Story not as good as New Vegas (better than FO3) - Followers are uninteresting compared to NV. - Boring factions - No slavers (hope it's not because Bethesda is aiming at younger audience under 18) - Lack of adult contents like the ones you see in NV (Kids mustn't see these..... or Bethesda afraid of backlash?) - Lack of epic moments like blowing up Megaton or stopping Mr Burke in FO3 - The towns and societies in FO4 seem to lack soul. It's not like that feeling you get when you visit Megaton, Rivet City or Tenpenny Tower which gives you a weird feeling. - Side stories are uninteresting. - Aimed at casuals. No more using stealth play like sneaking in the casino in NV to rescue the kidnapped guy. Now it's just sent to a location, clear the place of bad guys. And that's it. - No major decision making. Or lack of them cause apparently (to Bethesda) gamers are dumber these days. - It's no longer an rpg with action play. It's now an FPS action game with rpg elements. =( Sad to see this. Hope Bethesda won't do this for the next Elder Scrolls. - Season Pass BS. Paying upfront without knowing what you gonna get.... Hmm... Not you too Bethesda. Anyway, despite these downsides it's still a solid game as Bethesda has added many other things. One of the major addition is settlements where you manage and grow your settlements. Which can be quite fun. It's still Game of the year 2015 for me (another bad year for gaming). Hopefully the dlcs add more to the game. Please Bethesda, I'm still holding my breath that you can be top again.

The combat is lame and boring. You control a dragon flying around with a jetpack (cool idea) and spam flame at the enemy troops while your troops attack and control the enemy forts. After an hour you'll probably just use the auto-battle option. But the politics is freaking hilarious!! Very interesting (though stereotypical) advisers/diplomats each representing a faction and it's up to you to keep them loyal to your cause. Every month a new issue will pop up, and each advisers will give you their opinion. Your decisions will please some of them while disappointing others as you manage the relationship with these diplomats. Some of the topics can be quite sensitive but the fact is there are no trolls among the diplomats as they always have some point in their stance. Whether you agree with it is separate matter. Overall, not to be taken too seriously. Recommended if you play for the laughs in conversations with npcs, not the gameplay. Game's kinda short though, around 10 hours long. But hey, it's cheap.

Bought the original AC when it released for the PS3. It was new and so awesome. I remember being impressed by the graphics and how Altair walks pass pedestrians. So cool at the time never before seen in a video game I guess. Didn't have a good story and the gameplay was so repetitive. But the game was fresh and innovative. Few years later bought AC Revelations. Returned it the next day cause it was pretty much the same thing. Wasn't interested in the setting as well. Graphics and gameplay didn't change much and boy the characters are unlikable like the first one. Skipped the rest. Then I bought the PS4 and there were so few games available. So I decided to buy Black Flag. "It's Assassin's Creed so of course it's going to be based on the same mechanics. Idiot." Ok well this time Ubisoft added quite alot. It has a larger world map and you can go around assaulting forts, establishing settlements, treasure hunting and omg ship battles. The world is beautiful too as you sail across from island to island. The problem is it's still too familiar. Why can't Ubisoft make a pirate game as a separate IP. Because having the AC linked to it, you'll be dealing with the repetitive gameplay of stalking, eavedropping, chasing, climbing and dealing with dumb ai opponents. Over and over since the first game. Adding rpg elements like upgrading perks and weapons is a plus. Being open-world is also a good thing too. But why can't we create our character? The main character in BF is boring. So was Altair and that Italian old man. But overall, I came back and I just feel if I didn't really enjoy the core gameplay of the original AC, Black Flag is the same game + and therefore I won't like it. So what can I say? It is a good game if you are new to the franchise. If you played a few AC installments before and you didn't like them (like me), don't expect there to be much difference in Black Flag. Please Ubisoft, make the next Assassin's Creed set in China or Japan. Somewhere exotic. Not the same thing again like England, France cause they're nothing special, really.

I was conned. This game is low budget and as expected, it performs low budget!! So many times I've fallen for ratings and reviews. Think of this game as the poor man's Heroes: Might and Magic and Civilization. Watch some gameplay on Youtube, you won't last 15 minutes because it's so generic and there's nothing awesome about it. ****.... this game excels in nothing. It's not a fail **** as gets the basics right. But that's what this game is, Basic. You have your standard hex grid, your main base, you expand your territory by attack other settlements, trade **** everything is so mediocre. Poor graphics too. But for people giving 10/10? Must be on a budget because they can't afford trying out better games. So this is their version of Civ? (even though civ is an older game).. If this is the case I can't blame them. So maybe it's good for these guys but for the rest of us, Maybe not. Don't waste your money, don't waste your time.

We all know this is a low budget game. But it's not a bad game at all. Just can get pretty repetitive and boring because there's no voice acting. So you'll be reading the whole game through which gets tiring after 10 hours in. No cutscenes and not much character animations. And the combat isn't that good too. Lack of immersion and story can get boring cause of more reading. Yeah..... With so many RPGs out there with voice acting, good story, better combat gameplay, I don't think Pillars of Etternity is that good. I enjoyed Dungeon Siege, Neverwinter, and some other top down text-filled rpgs. But it isn't the 90s it's 2016, act like you care. Put some effort to evolve or innovate the top down rpg genre. Not stay entirely and not improve at all. Oh but you have a low budget? Doesn't mean a thing. If the game isn't good, it isn;t good. Play it if you're into old-scool rpg. Many who are stuck in past (oh it reminds me of the 90s wow...) Otherwise, play something else. It's no 10/10 like many people are saying that it is. Alright at the start but after about 8 hours it collapses.

Was duped by high ratings everywhere. The fact is, this game is heavily scripted. A linear corridor shooter. Could've watched the whole thing on youtube. Am I playing the game or is the game playing me?... (You get what I'm saying). The graphics and art style is alright but overall, I really can't recommend this game. It's downright boring!! I played like 4 hours and it's still boring!! I guess many people don't like challenges or games that requires your creativity on how to approach situations. Just follow, bam bam the bad guys, talk and follow again. Rinse and repeat. It's a first person game but it's not you, you are controlling someone else. Wut?? The npcs are talking to this guy who who happens to be you and you see him like it's you yourself but it's not you.... WUT???? OMG. Anyway, this makes you care less for everything cause you can't immerse yourself in this game. Nothing hits you or connect to you in a personal sense. So if the story campaign is bad what about the online segment? Well, there's none. Just a short linear single-player fps. Hmm.... SO WHY IS THIS GAME 10/10 EVERYWHERE?? It's a 2 for me. 1 point for graphics, 2nd point for 'it's not the worst game I've played). Totally overrated.

First off, I'm writing this review based on the online multiplayer side of COH2. I didn't bother playing the single-player campaign because it's not challenging and I'm not that interested in playing Soviets. So people complaining about the story I can't relate to them. I'm just looking at the online gameplay. Overall a very interesting tactical RTS game that requires alot of micro managing. The WWII setting is a big plus. No laser robots, monsters or zombies.. You have to be precise and decisive at how to position your troops, how to flank enemies or get in cover etc. Setting up defenses or launching joint assaults with others. It's so fascinating to see actual players working together building lines of defenses or rushing from one end of the map to your rescue. Events that takes place during the battle can be very awe inspiring or... well.. can also be eye-rolling. The banter, the trash talk.... Common in online games. Another downside is the balancing. You'll be finding the game too easy at one point, then a month later too hard. Then becomes even more easier than before..... And on and on... But it changes the way you play the game to keep things fresh I suppose. Spent so many hours in this game. Still loving it.

Xcom 2 is a turn-based tactical strategy game. Xcom EU was one of the best PC games I've played. So how does Xcom 2 compare? Let me cut to the chase. Pros: - An overall improvement in terms of UI, gameplay, graphics. - Better squad customisation (spent hours editing their looks) - Challenging but can be ridiculously unfair at times (especially at the start with just 4 members carrying poor weapons and armours) - Game encourages using your brains (most games don't these days) - More cutscenes / close up action scenes that look awesome - Story is better (not great but still better) - Good variety of enemy types - Chryssalid not as annoying this time - You get that satisfying feel when you win an unbalanced map - Mod support (Xcom EU mods were crap!!) Cons: -Bad performance (gtx980) - Very confusing at the start managing bases or keeping pace with the Alien's progress - Unfair battles at times (very frustrating when your squad misses even though they are standing in front of enemy with 90% hit rate. wtf) - You are always poor at start, then by mid till end you become to rich with nothing to invest in - Ugly face options (Hopefully mods will fix this soon) - Squad gets injured frequently and becomes unavailable for too long. - I use to enjoy visiting science lab in EU. Well not anymore this time. - Sectoids aren't cute anymore - Timers in lots of mission (WHY????) - Forced to proceed with missions and therefore speeding up gameplay time. Game is quite short and this makes it even shorter. - There are very few main missions. (It's mostly research this research that, then occasionally a battle in the main campaign). Why can't they make it like Civ 5 where you can play indefinitely??? - Missions can get repetitive (VIP, bomb defusal, download data, eliminate all hostiles, destroy artifact) Overall, these problems are minor compared to what Xcom 2 has to offer. A very good game. And I truly enjoy playing it.

I am huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series. I love the lore and everything about it. When The Elder Scrolls Online was first announced, I was very sceptical. Paid subscription hell no!! A year down the line it got released for the PS4 and the subscription fee was scrapped. Still wasn't interested because I've been hearing so much negatives. But due to extreme boredom on PS4 I finally brought myself to get it. So first off, let me list what's negative about the game that still exist with the PS4 version. Cons: - Graphics are pretty dated. More like PS3 graphics. And no you listen, graphics do matter!!!! - Overall feel is very generic. NPCs and environment are bland, lacking in personality, absolutely nothing that stands out really. Most characters and places look the same. - Playing quests as a group is a huge facepalm. Grouping simply means, you are not playing in that same quest but instead, you and other players are playing your own solo quests at the same time same place. - Lots of uninteresting and fetch quests, and it's very likely you may get lost or not entirely understand the story as there is a lot to take it. You can't possibly remember everyone or everything. In the end you'd probably don't care. - Finding ingredients is very difficult and tedious. They are sparely spread out and I just don't have the patience. - Earning gold isn't easy and in the end there's nothing worthwhile to buy besides a mount, or pack capacity. No houses to buy, no nice outfits etc, nothing =( -the crown store is way overpriced. $10 for a dress? (that comes with no perks) So...then... why do I play this game daily for over a month now and loving it??? Well, as I said, if you're big fan of the series, get it!! Like if you're a fan of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, you'd get the Dynasty Warriors series. If you're willing to look past the cons I've mentioned, the game has lots to offer. Hundreds of hours of gameplay. The map is huge and levelling up as you explore/complete quests across Tamriel is so fun and addictive. You'll be unlocking new skills which allows you to make the ultimate character of your choice and liking. Character creation is quite detailed and you can create good looking characters (unlike in Skyrim/Fallout). The game is being updated constantly with new contents, so there's lots of potential here. Zenimax Online, please don't be afraid to try out new ideas and be creative. And try not to screw us over with ridiculous BS pricing. If your content is worth it, then I'll gladly pay for it. Otherwise, your game will never excel. Anyway, overall I'm freaking addicted to this game. If you're not a super fan of the series, get it during a sale. Otherwise, you owe it yourself to try this game out!!! =) Alright, I'm going back to playing.

Ok Dragon Age... What happened to you? What are you trying to do?!! This franchise needs serious help. You think Dragon Age II was as bad as it could get, well think again. In my honest opinion, Dragon Age: Inquisition is worse than Dragon Age II. The story is very weak and lame, lacking any suspense or twist. You just couldn't care less about it as you play. NPCs have nothing good to say and there's absolutely no epic moments/cutscene in this game whatsoever. And omgg the characters!!!! How?? The characters are sooo stereotypical and extremely annoying. It's like Bioware is trying to force down their political correctness down your throat. Instead of being creative, Bioware opt to make the cast as multicultural as possible which makes the whole thing cheesy and utterly cringe worthy. You have the token Hispanic Josephine with the forced stereotypical Mexican accent; the African Vivienne, bald and exaggerated lips; one lesbian (Sera); and one gay (Dorian); a big brute 'American tough guy-badass attitude' Iron Bull; and a tough woman Cassandra to appease the feminists. These are unoriginal, poorly designed characters. Please, stop... Another example of how they try to force it on the players, is they actually went as far as making one companion mission revolving around the issue of his homosexuality. Come on!! Look, I've got nothing against homosexuality. So we don't care about your sexuality, stop being insecure and sharing it with the rest of the world!! Bioware, if you want homosexuality/minority/females to be accepted, then you'll have to make the characters respectable. What you're doing is perpetuating their insecurities and making them vulnerable!! Let's talk about the open-world aspect. Guys, you can't create a large map to explore and call it an open-world. You'll need a world you can interact with and to be able to immerse yourself in it. DAI fails to do this. The locations are very bland, and there's nothing to do!!! Not one side activity. Wtf?? I play on the highest setting, graphics looks washed out for some reason. It looks generic but I suppose it's an improvement over DAII. Combat mechanic, nothing to write home about. Better played on a controller. Romance is poorly implemented. And the game just feels rushed. It excels in nothing. Overall, I'm so disappointed. It's Dragon Age.. I expected so much more. I didn't enjoy my time playing it and therefore can't recommend this game to anyone unless you're really bored and have nothing else to play. Bioware, please you'll need to step it up. I'm so worried about the upcoming Mass Effect.. Please don't mess that up like you did with DAI and that Mass Effect 3 ending.

Upon reading and hearing so much positives about The Witcher 2, finally got my hands on the game for less than $10 on Steam sale. Booted it up, played the game on max setting. Omg, the graphics looks stunning. And... that's pretty much the good thing about it... I played for about 3 hours or slightly more and I just couldn't continue. In that 3 hours there were so many things that I didn't like and I'm going to list them here. Granted, the biggest mistake I made (and I know people are going to tell me it's my own fault) is that I played it using mouse+keyboard, I know, I'm sorry but I don't have a controller. Therefore controls seems very clunky and playing a 3rd person game without a controller is just... it's unnatural. So if I can't enjoy the gameplay , what's the point in playing. Secondly, the menu.... ehm.... it's so old school and difficult to navigate that you just can't be bothered to go through it. Third, why are we given a fixed character in open-world rpg? In the Wither 2 you are forced to play as this old man, stereotypical and just feels weird playing as him. I just can't get attached to the main character. Not gonna spend hours looking at this old man. Finally, ok it's open-world, but nothing to do!! What the heck?? It's actually a rather linear game. The game wants you to p[lay it a certain way. it's wants you to fight a certain way... I know it's story-driven, but please refer to point 3. I'm not interested. Doesn't matter how good the graphics are, or how big the game is. The fact is, I just don't like it. It's linear, it's not challenging, it doesn't require you to think or be creative.. just fight, boring cutscene starring old man, move to next point and fight again. Rinse and repeat. I know it's just $10, but I regreted it dearly =( FAIL!!

Without going into details, Bound by Flame can be summed up as a generic action RPG game. The story is short and lame. Character customisation is very lame. Main character is unlikable and lame. NPCSs and dialogues are lame. Choices are inconsequentially lame. Romance is lame. Gameplay and combat is lame. Every aspect of this game is lame. MORE LIKE BOUND BY LAME!!!!!!!!! A lacklustre story, forgettable NPCs, poor character customisation, last gen graphics, the list goes on and on. What you'll be doing the whole game is simply going to a certain point, activate horde mode and occasionally, face boss fights. Rinse and repeat. Different planets, same structure, same enemies. Defeating bosses are time consuming, the bosses don't even change their strategies, and after defeating them, the rewards are disappointing. First off, I know this game is designed to be played on the console, but I decided to get Tomb Raider on the PC just to check out the awesome graphics. And so it's true, the graphics in this game is absolutely AMAZING!! It's so demanding that I can't believe I had to scale back the shadow quality to 'normal' and use fxaa even when running it with my AMD HD7990. That aside, we all know a game is not just about the graphics. So how does Tomb Raider play out in its gameplay aspect? Well, its actually what you would expect: a very linear and highly scripted gameplay that lacks overall creativity and innovation. It's simply jumping, climbing, laughable combat mechanic, quick time events, and if you're too lazy to figure out where to go, just hit 'q' and it'll show you what to do. It's rinse and repeat. Combined with a lacklustre storyline featuring a younger, less hot and not so badass Lara Croft, this game will easily make you bored of it after the first two hours. Sorry Lara, you know I put up with you for so long, but this is it I think I just fell out of love. It's 5 out of 10.!!

As a fan of Hong Kong action films and kung-fu flicks, I was excited about Sleeping Dogs. Open-world environment GTA style in Hong Kong instead of the same old stuff in America or the UK, I was totally sold at launch. The game revolves around an undercover cop, Wei Shen (Will Yun Lee) who is tasked to join a local gang to bring down the entire Sun On Yee from the inside. Overtime he grows attached and the line between his true friends and foes becomes blurry to Wei Shen. Nice idea for a story but how exactly does the game turn out? Let me put it simply, Sleeping Dogs is mediocre at best. Here are the problems: 1) Story is short and feels rushed. The sudden and abrupt ending was an insult to my face. 2) Wei Shen lacks character in terms of looks and personality. Someone random. 3) Shooting gameplay is terrible. Guns don't feel or sound real at all. Shooting from vehicles is boring because it slows time down automatically. 4) Side activities are plenty but are very repetitive and boring. Chasing, arcade style racing, fight bet, street fight, karaoke... 5) Graphics are terrible, facial expressions are missing.....Come on Square Enix! 6) No Multiplayer. 7) Finally, even though Wei Shen climbed his way up the Triad ranks and practically owns a territory and has his own turf, you cannot bring along soldiers to join you in battle, you don't see your gang hanging out in the streets. You can't ask for protection money from stores and street vendors. All in all, I still managed to sink over 20 hours into this game. The story and environment kept me going and I'm glad to have give this game a shot. Just regretted getting it full price on day one. DOA5 is lacking in innovation and creativity. Considering how small the game is, with its small roster, few stages and modes available, it's very hard to recommend this game given what other fighting games are offering out there. Character design is quite poor. You can totally tell they used the same template when designing Jann Lee and Akira, or Rig and Bayman. Their facial features are too similar, lacking character in them. The story mode is extremely short and quite lame as well. Walks into a bar and someone comes up to you and says they don't like strangers. Then BAM!! Let's fight each other. Another annoying bit of the story mode is Zack!! Why?!! And finally, the story mode is quite embarrassing at times, especially parts involving Leifang and ****, really childish!! Outside of story mode, you have VS mode, and all the typical modes you'd expect like survival, practice, online etc plus a spectator mode. As you play you will unlock a few characters and new costumes (around 7 for each character). FULL STOP. There is no other rewards. There is no customisation mode. This makes the game repetitive and quite boring quickly. Of course, not all of it is bad.. The first thing you'll notice when you play this game is how fluid the animation is during fights. Interactive environments are also well implemented. And finally, this game can be quite challenging in normal difficulty and beyond. You will need time to invest in your skills. However, overall for the lack of content DOA5 as to offer, this game will be a waste of money unless you really are a diehard fan of this franchise. Otherwise, I'm telling you -Don't fall for this!! Kingdoms of Amalur is an extremely boring chore. Though not the worst rpg, it lacks the one thing that makes an awesome rpg, the immersion. The story elements and npcs are a letdown and there is nothing in this game that actually stands out. Nothing!! While ithe game offers a huge map, it is not entirely an open-world as the story paths are highly linear. Character customisation is limited, there isn't any memorable moments in quests and while npcs have lots to say, they are very generic and lack any form of personality.. There's not much decision making involved in the story and therefore you don't have to listen and understand all the long conversations. You will likely skip them too as they are so monotonous and dull. While some people think the gameplay makes up for these infuriating flaws, in actual fact, the gameplay is like God of War, meaning repetitive hack-and-slash as you fight swarms of enemies in your path. Good if you're into that kind of stuff, otherwise this will be a chore for you. One problem I had with Fallout 3 was that it felt like a grayscale painting, the environment and atmosphere were both dull, looks pretty repetitive, plain boring. Of course that's what you'll expect to see when your world gets nuked. Anyway, New Vegas tries to deviate from the central theme of post-war survival and instead, centres its storyline around the politics of New Vegas and Hoover Dam. The gameplay is more or less the same, but the idea is, you'll be given a choice to work with whichever faction you wish, whether that's based on the faction's goals and objectives, or simply for your personal gains. There is a reputation system, if you help one group out, they'll like you better but this may cause adverse impact on other groups' perception of you. So choose wisely. The world is huge and there are tons to do and explore. Seeing that this is Vegas, you'll be able to gamble too. New Vegas is vibrant and is definitely a relief from the dull wasteland. Anyway, the story is not great but alright. If you loved Fallout 3, there's no reason to skip this one. Now, to the bad part... There's no real graphical/gameplay improvement from Fallout 3 but I'll try to understand that. The character creation mechanics remains **** most of all, this game may win the most bugs (including game-breaking ones) in a PS3 game award. And the game always crashes!! Patches after patches the game still has them. All the time!! Argh! But despite so many bugs and crashes, I went back to my save file and play through all that again.... Why?!! Because it is Fallout, people!! If you'll be spending so much time on this huge open-world, what's an extra hour of replay? That said, I close by saying this game is highly addictive and offers much replay value. And I'm sure most of you will try to look pass the bugs and crashes because you'll be getting so much more out of New Vegas. Because war..... war never changes.

TESIV Oblivion is definitely the greatest open-world RPG game out there to date. If you're really into RPGs, this game will likely take over 100 hours of immersive gameplay. There are tons to do in this game outside the main quest, you could join the many guilds (eg. Mage guild, fighter guild etc), be a champion gladiator, a thief/burglar, treasure hunting, randomly punching people in the face if you don't like how they look at you, and about a hundred other sidequests. Character customisation is fun, you can choose different races, your speciality, your attire, weapons etc. You'll also be spending a good amount of time exploring the cities, caves, and wilderness across Cyrodiil. The landscape is vast, detailed and beautiful to look at. And on top of all this, if you can't get enough of this game, the Shivering Isle expansion is a must get. Therefore, I suggest to any PS3 gamers to get the Game of the Year Edition because it includes both Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isle expansion in the game for the same price. They're all very good expansions. Anyway, there are some flaws, nothing major but are present nonetheless. Character creation is poor, you can never make a good looking male..... good thing you get to put a helmet on. There are limited character animation, and therefore fights may look less epic. NPCs have no emotions, or at least do not express them on their faces, will feel very awkward during conversations when they are scared but giving you the blank face at the same time. And they will stand very still while the background pauses during conversations. There are also no trophy support for the PS3 version. But all in all, I've got to say despite all these flaws, this game is excellent (keeping in mind what year this game was produced). Therefore, I give Oblivion a 10 out 10!

Alpha Protocol has got to be one of the most awful RPGs for the PS3. Seriously. Where shall I begin? Okay, this game is a humiliating failed-attempt to imitate Mass Effect by allowing players choices in conversation and gameplay. There is no innovation but it's poorly implemented instead. Voice acting is horrible, characters are generic and unoriginal. The main character looks like a dope!! You can't really customise his look besides his hair and skin colour, so you'll be stuck playing this unlikable, generic-looking guy. What the h*ll?? In terms of the gameplay, the combat isn't fluid. Guns are ineffective and enemy Ai are awful, probably as bad as Tomb Raider's combat gameplay. And don't get me started with the hacking mechanics. The story is very basic and you don't really get interested in what's going on because of the poor gamplay, poor characters and mediocre storyline and you just want to run through this game as quick as possible to end this ordeal. Graphics are alright but nothing special and I guarantee, if you have been playing RPGs, you will be dead bored with Alpha Protocol. If you think Mass Effect 2 were cool back when it was released for the PC and the 360, well think again, 'cause the PS3 version is way better. You'll be getting better graphics, a better game engine, and what's more? You'll be getting all dlcs.... for FREE!! Excluding the boring Arrival dlc, Yay! Mass Effect 2 has an intriguing storyline and is a direct sequel to the first instalment. Couldn't play it 'cause you have a PS3? No worries, you'll be getting an interactive comic at the start of the game to learn what happened in Mass Effect 1. The characters are likable, choices are fun, and the game has some bad@ss moments (especially when triggering renegade actions. Okay, but the game isn't perfect of course. Some bad points would be the gameplay. If you play on Normal and higher difficulty, you'll find that during combat, everytime you stick your head out you'll definitely get shot even though there are 3 of you in your squad. This is annoying and unrealistic. And therefore, combat is lacking. You can't jump, you can't roll, the combat is plain and basic. Graphics are alright but nowhere near the best (Bioware are NOT known for good graphics anyway). Character creation/customisation is very limited and can't exactly create anyone you like.. It's not a very long game, 20-30 hours at most. But overall, I really enjoyed the epicness of the game despite its flaws. So if you haven't already pick this one up, take my word if you're an RPG fan this game is a must.

If you're familiar with the Tekken series, then you'd probably already be used to the fact that every Tekken game (since the PS1) offers very little innovation from the previous instalment. Sadly, Tekken 6 is no exception. But let's be honest here, how different can a figthing game be anyway? Tekken 6 does well in what it is expected to do well in, and that's figthing. Apart from the basic Arcade mode, Versus mode, Survival matches etc. there will be a Scenario mode whcih is kinda like a beat 'em up adventure figthing game where you follow the story behind Lars and Alis, travelling the lands to find Jin. Here is where you will get to unlock characters, movies, items (clothings), and earn money (to buy items for your characters). The good is, there are tons of items to unlock/purchase for your characters. You'll also be able to play the Scenario mode with a friend online. While the Scenario mode offers a welcomed change in gameplay, its implementation however was not well thought out. You can play as any characters you have unlocked, but the game can be quite challenging especially when you've just started out with a character (minumum stats) , even on Easy. Controls in Scenario mode are terrible. You can only fight one person at a time, and that means if you're fighting a group of them you'll probably won't make it when they've got you surrounded. Another thing is, you can't jump, and you can't do most combos, meaning that you'll be randomly button mashing your basic punches and kicks through the hordes of approching enemies. Boring!!! Another problem I had in Scenario mode is with some of the new characters. One of them would have to be Lars, who replaces Jin as the new protaganist for this game. He looks like a guy from The Incredibles. But the worse however would have to Abe lisa, which is one of the most annoying steriotypical Japanese anime-like character I've seen and everytime she says or does something brings a tear to my eyes... tears of embarassment! Really painful..... The story of the game is weak, and the graphics are very poor and dated, but you'll definitely have fun playing it with a friend. Just don't expect it to last. Tekken 6 is recommended to devoted fans of the series, but if you're new, only get this game when you're done with the other popular figthing games out there.

Given how I enjoyed playing sandbox games like Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, TESIV Oblivion and Fallout, I decided to give this game a random chance after I was pretty much done with other games despite watching the trailers and going "What year was this game released again? You sure it wasn't made for the PS2 instead?" Anyway, got the game on discount and after completing this game, I must say I was truly satisfied and I come to see the fine differences between SR2 and GTAIV. While GTAIV focused on a more being dark and mature theme. SR2 is entirely the opposite. Sure, it adopts the same open-world concept. Punch a guy on the street, taunt a pimp and get your butt kicked, it's all up to you. But I'll tell you what SR2 does (which GTAIV doesn't) that makes SR2 good enough to avoid itself being labelled 'the poor man's GTA'. You play the head of the 3rd Street Saints taking on the other factions to reclaim the territories of Stillwater. You can customise your character's facial and body appearance, clothing, voice, taunts, figthstyle, walking style etc. It can look like you, your favourite actor, or Niko Bellic if you still think this is GTAIV. The cutscenes are more over the top, and you'll probably go "Wow! That's bad*ss!" in most of them, or get a good laugh or two in others. The side characters are hilarious and likable, more so than the ones in GTAIV. Another thing that stood out having your own gang members who usually hang out in cribs or the Saints headquarters, and you'll be able to recruit up to 3 Saints to join you on your missions. You can also choose your gang style (attire), vehicles, sign, and taunt. Outside your main mission there are lots to do, there's street racing, boat racing, driving a helicopter, spraying cr*p on people and buildings, being a bodyguard for a celebrity, pimping, demolition derby, you name it. Now, the bad part, the graphics as I said are bad. It looks like it wasn't meant for current gen consoles. Poor AI and the poor combat controls makes shooting ugly to feel and look at. Multiplayer is also poorly implemented and it's nowhere near the excitement you'll get when playing online in GTAIV or RDR. There's no trophies in this game for the PS3 meaning that you'll probably have less of a reason to complete the sidemissions and activities. My final statement, try to enjoy SR2 for what it is rather than trying to see how it fails to be GTAIV. You get a good story, a more enjoyable and less serious gameplay, likable characters, and the feel of running a street gang. It's definitely worth giving it a shot.

Dragon Age II is a good game but for those who had an amazing experience with Dragon Age Origins, don't expect DAII to be DAOII. There are improvements to certain aspects of the first instalment and I can understand why many fans were furious about the changes made in DAII. In fact, those who have been following the Mass Effect series you'll probably understand too. Anyway, from what I gather, the storyline is not as epic. You play as a human named Hawke either as a warrior, rogue, or a mage and you can customise his/her appearance. The game spans over 10 years and you discover and learn how Hawke becomes the Hero of Kirkwall. The story has 3 Acts, mostly unrelated and therefore lacking a central theme seen in DAO (gathering arms across Fereldan against the Blight). And the story is quite linear though you'll be making a lot of minor choices throughout the game. Another flaw of this game is that the characters are not as interesting as the ones in DAO. This time they won't be telling you stories about their past or legends, nor will they share jokes. This time converstions with your companions are more about activating their individual quests and acknowledging that you have completed those quests. Some of the companions I found to be unlikable. And let's be honest here, Isabela doesn't hold the candle to Morrigan in every single way. Thirdly, this game uses repeated maps and dungeons. So while there are many quests to take up, you'll be completing them at the same area. Even the dull city of Kirkwall remains exactly the same throughout the ten year period. What's strange is that the graphics are sub par and the level of details and texture of buildings and environments are poor despite the game only having one city and reused caves.. The gameplay is more action oriented this time meaning that it is more fast-paced and requires button mashing (which is optional) to execute moves and attack which I felt was a good addition especially for one playing this game on a console. You'll be seeing some characters from DAO which brings back sweet memories. So despite all the flaws I found in this game, DAII does has it's charms and I certainly enjoyed playing it. It is a good game in itself and if there wasn't a DAO in the first place, this game would have been received much better by the fans.

Guys, if you're thinking this is the same Sims 3 PC on a console like I did before I bought this game, you are wrong. This version is just awful compared to what the PC version has to offer. Here are a few problems I had with the Sims 3 console: 1) Poor controls. It's hard to manoeuvre and navigate this kind of game using a controller. Many times you'll have to hold and press a few buttons to do something and hence the game pauses whenever you are switching between sims, and selecting an action for your sim. Why?!! Building your home is also a hassle. 2) Graphics. The graphics on the PC version is not great, but on the console version it's worse (poor colour and lighting). Even the map of the neighbourhood has to be is 2D. 3) One family only at a time. You can't switch households and you can't create a new sim to join your household nor can you move in a new sim household into your neigbourhood after you have started the game. And if you want one of your sim to move out of your active household, he/she will be permanently deleted from your neigbourhood. Why can't we have him/her move to another house? Again, why?! 4) Your sims are dumb. If you decide to take one of your sims downtown while having another sim stay at home to study, you can't!! If you follow your sim downtown, your other sim's actions will be cancelled as if he/she was doing nothing the whole time you were out. I can't even check on sims on the other side of town without ruining their plans for the day. 5) Why is there a limit to how many stuff you can build and buy on a lot? 6) Not enough lots for purchasing / building houses. No option to relocate families so I had to evict one of them to buy their house. 7) You can't upload own music or take pictures/videos of your sims. 8) No add-ons, no expansions. World Adventure, Late Night, you won't be seeing those. 9) Too many loading screens. You can't watch your sims go to work, instead there'll be a loading screen. If you go into Buy mode there's a loading screen, from Buy to Build mode, a loading screen. I don't get it. They added Karma gameplay but at the expense of all this? WHY?!!! The only good thing about the console version I see are the challenges you can fulfil and trophy achievements. Besides those, if you're thinking of getting the Sims 3, please do yourself a favour and get the PC version and avoid the console version. The Sims 3 console is an embarassment.

Dynasty warriors 7 basically offers most of the same stuff as its predecessors, hack and slash with a compelling narration loosely based on the Chinese novel 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms'. Unlike previous games in the series, there is no musou mode, instead you're given a story mode where you will be playing a number of set characters throughout the campaign. You control 4 factions/kingdoms: Shu, Wu, Wei, and the newly introduced Jin, journeying through the events during the Three Kingdoms period from the lens of each faction. The story telling is much stronger and serious this time around, be prepared to feel sad during some scenes. Another addition to DW7 is the introduction of Conquest Mode, replacing Free Mode. It works pretty much the same but you won't be playing stages featured in Story mode, instead you'll be playing all new stages (most of them not as big as stages in Story mode) and you can unlock new stages, characters, weapons and level up your characters as you go along. You'll be spending most part of the game in Conquest mode as there are tons of stages and you can even play them with your friend through online multiplayer (even though the synching is terrible). There are over 60 playable characters each with their individual special attacks and musou attacks. You can even swap weapons during gameplay and equip whichever weapon you prefer. Of course, this game has its flaws. While the graphics is a definite improvement since DW6, it is still dated for current-gen consoles. The water looks bad, and the texture of buildings and landscape are poor. Another thing is the horseriding animation, it is just awful and still doesn't feel natural. Lastly, you still don't need to be smart to play this game because you dont need tactics or strategies. All you'll be doing is figthing off the hordes of enemy soldiers and officers until you reach the enemy's commander. It gets repetitive real quick. Anyway, play this game for the strong storyline and the amount of content it has to offer. You'd certainly get your money's worth for the hours of gameplay you'll be getting (I spent about over a hundred hours on this).

Okay. Bayonetta is.... one character you probably rarely come across as a protagonist. Many protagonists in games these days are quite generice looking, Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Cole in InFamous to name a few. Bayonetta on the other hand is fully dramatised to look extremely tall, curvy, suave and sexy which make her and the game kinda stand out. The game is basically a non-stop combo action game, meaning the star of Bayonetta is using tons of button combinations to execute all kinds of over-the-top attack moves that are cool and beautiful to watch. The game can be very easy (one button automatic combat) or extremely hard depending on the diffulty level you can choose. It offers quite an amount of content which means you'll be replaying stages to acquire cool items such as the many unlockable move sets, costumes, and different weapons. Aside from the gameplay, side characters are kinda weak and the story is not too compelling . It will certainly take time before you can truly understand the concept behind the story of Bayonetta. All in all, Bayonetta is another action figthing game you'd expect from Sega. It's nothing new or great but it can be a fun experience with all the cool combos. And if you're not down with that, well, at least you get to watch how hot Bayonetta is when she fights!!

L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire has a very interesting concept, not enough however to make up for the slow and repetitive gameplay. What's most innovative about the game is that it uses a state-of-the-art technology that captures facial expressions, this means basically you'll be doing alot of interrogating and you'll have to use your intuitions based on the clues you have gathered and the reactions your witness/suspect when they give an answer to tell if they are true, doubful, or a lie. The game is very linear and the outcome of each case is not substantial and does not impact how you progress through this game. Most of the cases are not that interesting and gets really repetitive after a while. There is little to no connection between cases which means you're pretty much hopping from one individual case to another which makes the game feels more of a chore once the novelty dies down. The map of L.A. Noire is huge and beautifully designed. You are free to roam wherever you want however there is pretty much nothing you can do or interact with. This game isn't a sandbox so you can't frisk whoever you want on the streets like in True Crime, and you can't buy hotdogs from vendors etc. That said, to those who are going to give this game a try, note that this isn't Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption from a cop's point of view. This game is overrated. It's pretty much just a detective game with interesting concept implementations and nothing more. My advice, instead of taking up the cases alone, try playing it with others to make this a fun and interesting experience.

If you're into open-world games and character customisation then I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give Two Worlds II a try, just don't expect it to be another Oblivion or Fallout game. During my 30+ hours of gameplay (excluding some sidequests and multiplayer) I must say this game is far from perfect but I did in some way enjoyed the ride. And it's the little things along the way that will make you want to play it and get through the awfully weak plot. So let's begin with the good. 1) Character appearance / customisation - You get to change your character appearance (which is a big plus for me). And like any other RPGs, your character's stats and specialisation. 2) Graphics - For an RPG the graphics are not bad in this game. The landscape , the vibrant cities, water are all beautiful. Besides the poor NPCs textures, I'd say Two Worls II's graphics is way better than RPGs like Dragon Age II and Alpha Protocol. 3) Range of amour and wepon sets - And they actually look good. Pike, spear, twin axes, katana, u name it. 4) Music - the music is epic. There's even a mini game that allows you to play instruments. 5) Funny dialogue - Though many conversations can be very boring, some are somewhat hilarious. 6) Open-world with lots to do. Visit cities, gambling, sailing, horse-racing, stealling, crafting, arena matches, tons of guilds and sidequests etcs. 7) Multiplayer - You have adventure mode, capture crystals, village mode (build your own village) among others. But as I said, the game isn't perfect. And for me, what bothered me most were: 1) The main character - I dislike his stereotypical voice (he sounds like the guy in InFamous), and he is always talking.... when you encounter an enemy, when looting, when entering a cave, when defeating an enemy..... Please... just stay quiet, will ya!! 2) The plot - it is very weak. I wasn't that interested in the story and couldn't care less about danger of your character is facing. 3) Characters (NPCs) - Forgettable. None of them truly stood out. Just dull and boring. What's worst, you can't attack or kill them if you don't like them. The animation is very poor. Some of them are not even looking at you when you speak to them. And all they do is stand still and wave their arms up and down. I can't feel their sorrow or any other emotions that theyre feeling. 4) Horseriding is poor and pointless. The controls are bad and you can pretty much teleport anywhere using your teleporter. 5) Too many bugs. Pretty frustrating amount. Hopefully this will be addressed through a patch soon. Anyway, there you have it, my take on the main good and bads of Two Worlds II. My problems with this game is few and far between, and I did kinda enjoy the game while it lasted. That said, I am eager to see what Two Worlds III has to offer when it releases next year!!
