Portal 2 Portal Still Alive stunned gamers in 2007 with its interesting puzzles and intriguing concept. Now Portal is back, but everything has changed. No longer is the protagonist (Chell) confined to the sterile white environments of the test chambers in the first game. Now Chell finds herself in a larger adventure with a new enemy. This said the question remainsâ

The Forgotten Sands is a game that has a lot of great ideas put in to motion. Most of these ideas have to do with the platforming aspect of the game, but there are some cool power ups and upgrades for the combat. Some of these ideas are freezing water so you can climb it, wearing stone armor so that no attacks hurt you, and rewinding time to save yourself from falling to your doom (or to save yourself from an enemies attack in combat.) The platforming is normally amazing, and very smooth. The combat is the best in the series's history. instead of fight 3 or 4 people (like in sands of time) you fight 30 or 40. The combat is faster paced and much more fun. Unfortunately the combat is never a real challenge. This game has excellent graphics except for the character models which have odd looking faces. The sound in the game is great. The main problem with the game is the lack of a story.

There are very few things that are good in this game. The humor is sometimes good, and the answers to the countless number of puzzles you will encounter are SOMETIMES interesting (other times stupid.) There are many things bad about this game. The story is horrible. There are many load time that are way to long. The graphics are terrible. The music is annoying. Most of the time the answers to the puzzles DON'T MAKE LOGICAL SENSE.

An interesting game where you play as a city's king. It pretty much is a real time strategy game where you can talk to the townspeople. very fun, but repetitive.

This is pretty much a port of the third Mortal Kombat and puzzle Kombat. The games main problem is technical glitches (stuff like screen tears and sound cutting off.)

Red Faction Guerrilla is the newest game in THQ's series of video games, but unlike the other two fps games on the PS2 Red Faction Guerrilla is a third person shooter. Red Faction is not a story heavy game (having less the 10, 3 min cut scenes) which is a real shame because I enjoyed both the story and the beautifully made cut scenes a lot. The plot of the game is that you are Alec Mason and you've come to mars to work until your brother is shot down by an "evil" government called EDF, so you join the red faction to help them rebel against EDF and kill them. The game's gameplay focuses on blowing stuff up and explosions more than anything else, but that isn't saying that there is bad gun-play. The game has many intense and fun gunfights were you use any one of the 3 guns or mines on you to kill the enemy. Like I said though the game is mainly about blowing stuff up any way possible, you can take it down with a lot of mines or you can use the power of your rocket launcher plus many other fun ways. The game only really has one problem difficulty spikes, they are very noticeable and annoying.

Rune factory 2 is an overall great game that is one of the best on ds, but the game has problems. Rune factory is a new installment in the spin off series harvest moon. In the game you take life at your own pace and spend most of your time farming, or you can accept many quests and not farm that much. The game is basically what you get when you mix Animal Crossing with Fable. Rune Factories biggest problem is that each story level is about as epic as the average side mission in a normal **** games story is very simple and and shallow, you are a kid who walked into a town and you have no memory of your past. You meet some people that give there old dried up farmland... and thats about it. Rune Factories visuals are very nice and unique , but I am sad to say that the sound is not. Once in awhile the game's sound will just go out for a second (this is very rare, but still annoying) and the game has only like 3 or 4 tracks. Rune factory has really good and simple gameplay, and for a RPG the gameplay is amazingly fun. Overall Rune Factory is a fun and original DS game and every one who like's life Sims or casual RPG's should own this game.

TMNT Smash Up is pretty much Smash Bros with less characters, worse stages and terrible gameplay. The game has an arcade mode with story, but it's terrible. The game's gameplay does have some value, you can do wall jumps and more ninja like things then Smash Bros, but it's to bad you can never pull them off because the bad controls. TMNT does technically have online but you will hate it so much that you will play it once and then stop forever. The game at least has graphics and music that suite the games entire aesthetic. I could see hardcore TMNT fans enjoying this game.

New Super Mario Bros Wii has brought Mario back to consoles for the first time in many years. The game is worse than it's DS counterpart that was made two years ago. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy this game, but always in the back of my mind I was thinking "man this is like a bad version of the DS Mario." This game does improve the power ups and swimming portions of Mario games (plus if you like a challenge you will find it here), but the controls are not as tight as its DS version, and the graphics aren't improved at all. I love good 2D games that are original, and while Mario Wii does fit the first part, it falls short of being original.

Dive: The Medes Island Secret does a great job of creating a certain mood and aesthetic while playing it. The game also has a great soundtrack and art style. Unfortunately the game suffers greatly from repetition and lack of story.

A terrible first person shooter with no redeeming value for wii about massacring giant mutant bugs on an alien planet... ya that pretty much sums it up.

Mario galaxy is a near perfect game, the gameplay is perfect, the sound is perfect, the graphics are exactly the way I like them, and the controls are perfect. Sadly though the game has the same problem as every Mario game, bad story, bad multiplayer, and easy difficulty, but other then that it's a perfect game that anyone can enjoy. Mario galaxy is a game were no level is the same, and all the level have there own hook. In some levels your a bee, and in other your swimming in squid infested water. I am also happy to report every level is fun, so for the 8 hours that it takes you to beat the game you'll enjoy every second of it. Like I said the game is 8 hours long but with great replay value you could play 30 hours like me.

Mario is back again in this new Galaxy game because peach has been kidnapped again, YAAY. I liked super Mario Galaxy 2 a lot, but I found the first one to be a lot better for a few reasons. In this game at times I had to change the camera angle which I never had to do in the first one, also in this game some motion control levels don't work as well as in galaxy 1, there are way too many 2d levels, and on top of all this long jumps are much harder to pull off then in the first. All these problems are here and are annoying but that is not to say the game is not good, the game is a blast to play both alone and with a friend in the upgraded co star multiplayer mode. Galaxy 2's levels are also still very varied and with great design, but they still are noticeably worse than the first Galaxy. If Galaxy 2 came out before Galaxy one I would have given it a better review, but the fact is Nintendo took a step back with this game. I don't dislike this game, I do still love it, but its worse than the first.

Mario Kart Ds is definitely the best portable racers if not the best portable game ever, it has good graphics fun gameplay, good local multiplayer and online, and great controls, but by no means is the game perfect. Mario Kart Ds is a new installment in the long running series of games from Nintendo. The Mario Kart games are racers with a twist, power ups. In the game there are many power ups that will give you the edge on enemy racers. All the power ups in Mario kart are varied and strange, for example there are green shells that you use as projectiles, and red shells you use as heat seeking projectiles. Like I said Mario kart is not perfect but Its problems are few and small problems, but the problems are still there. One problem is that the game is very easy on any difficulty, so if your looking for a racer were your biting your nail hopping you will win you should look some were else because this isn't it. Mario kart's other problem is that while it is very easy it sometimes also feels cheep because the enemy racers will hit with multiple power ups (like shells) one after the other till you go from 1st to last. Overall Mario Kart ds is a great new installment to the series.

Just off the bat sin and punishment 2 is one of my favorite games ever, it is fast paced, fun, addictive, and easy to control, sadly that does not mean that it is perfect. sin and punishment is graphics and story are its only flaws, the story make no sense and when anyone speaks it sounds like they purposefully made it funny. The graphics are its second problem, the are fuzzy and look overall bad, but the art design was very good and the graphics had a lot of potential. Sin and punishment also is a very hard, but it wants to be, so you will die possibly 1000+ times a level before you beat it which for me was never annoying because the levels are so much fun. The game also has a addicting multi-player were a second person also shoots, but its not great but its ok. the online leader boards are also a lot of fun, you will spend hours trying to beat a high score which will most likely adds another 3 hours to the 6 hour single player. so overall sin and punishment is very close to perfect and everyone should buy it.

Red steel is a hard game for me to review because I liked the game overall, but many of the game's glitches/problems could have been easily fixed. The hook of the game is that it is part shooter part sword fighter, but sadly the sword slinging is clunky and most of the time not much fun. The gun motion controls are also a bit of a problem, while most of the time they work fine some of the time they will freak out and you will start spiraling in a circle for about a second, but keep in mind this is very rare problem (it will happen once or twice the entire game.)The graphics of red steel are not award worthy or great because they are bland, gray, and overall terrible even for a wii game, but there are some decent explosions. Too add to this seemingly never-ending list of problems the story seems to be taken out of a d movie, and while some will laugh at this story other will just skip it altogether. Possibly the largest problem with this game is that it is only 5 hours long with no on line, but since the game now is the price of a wiiware game I guess that isn't a huge problem. Even though all these problems are true and in the game I am giving it a 6 because even though the game has its faults is also has many fun mini games, a variety of weapons, good local multi-player, an original idea, and most of the time fun fast paced shooting action. Now to recap I do not recommend this game to everyone, but to those who can accept its faults should definitely buy the game used or rent it.
