Very good Jason Statham / Guy Ritchie vehicle. I don't believe I've seen Andy Garcia since 'Black Rain'. Nice seeing him again.

An entertaining remake of the original with a few twists and turns added but mostly a lot more gore. It wouldn't be wise to let the little ones under 12 watch it.

This is a story of a man who went to a Catholic high school and excelled at basketball. About all the viewer learns is that Jack(Affleck)finished high school, got married, had a son who dies from Leukemia, separated from his wife, became a high rise construction worker and a drunk (not a good combination). If he was a decent guy who just couldn't handle the problems life has thrown at him, I could show a little sympathy, but this guy is a foul-mouthed jerk. Even when he's asked to return to his high school to coach the basketball team because the coach has suffered a heart attack, he refuses to ease off of his drinking and continues to use the foulest language imaginable out on the court, in front of the crowd and the teams of impressionable high school kids. The assistant coaches quietly tell him that there is a code of conduct for teachers and students and he says he'll try to tone it down, but he never does. Please remember; this is a movie about a Catholic high school basketball team. They pray to God, through Jesus Christ before every game. I don't care for Ben Affleck's political views, and that's alright. I can put those aside for the Hollywood crowd. What I can't put aside is a movie that depicts Christianity as a joke. Shame on Affleck for making this movie.

After appreciating the 1973 original, I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy viewing the remake; but I did. Not a great movie, but enjoyable. It's primary purpose, I think, was to show how terribly cruel men can become when they're given too much power over other men. It's definitely worth seeing, but it's not for young children.

This is a pretty good sequel to the Predator franchise but parents beware... the bloodshed and language is atrocious and not necessary.

I just rented this movie and liked it very much. An interesting study about the importance of the parent-child relationship. If the hero and villain in the movie had had closer relationships with their children, tragedy might have been avoided. The use of computer technology was expertly used to tell the story; which was quite suspenseful, but the ending was, in my opinion, a bit off; i.e., if a 'slow' child causes an 'accidental' death, committing murder to cover it up doesn't make much sense. All in all, a very watchable movie, but great it ain't.

That Reeves would agree to act in a soft-porn film is regrettable but I suppose it should have been expected since his latest endeavors are over the top violent and 'sex and violence' tend to run together. It wouldn't have been too bad if the sex acts had simply been implied, but they were so 'in your face' and frequent, that it turned a '2 1/2 star' movie into a '1'.

If you make the mistake of viewing this film, pay special attention to Justin Timberlake. It's as if he's been possessed by Woody Allen. Even Timberlake's diction is similar to Allen's. Timberlake is Woody Allen by proxy. All in all, a pretty boring flick.

If you like to watch video games with lots and lots of blood and senseless killing, this is just the ticket for you. It's no better than the first one and a blight on the movie industry.

I was hoping Wahlberg might clean up his mouth for this one, especially because of the subject matter, but it seems as if he and Hollywood are trying their best to make the F...word acceptable in American society. What's wrong with these people? They know there are children watching these movies. Wahlberg's 'Ted' was one of the most disgusting films I've ever seen. When you go to see a film about a relationship between a guy and a teddy bear, you assume it's safe to take the kids, but all you got in Ted was sexual perversion, drug abuse, and vulgar language. Everyone is this movie had gutter mouths. Do the Boston police men and women really talk like that? What a shame! I'm glad I rented it. I don't think the money I spend on a rental finds it's way to Wahlberg and company. I'll never pay to see another movie with Wahlberg in it. Conservatives in America need to take a stand against this kind of garbage. This could have been an excellent movie, but to me, it wasn't even mediocre.

Like many of the other 'user reviews', I didn't expect to see an exact representation of the biblical account, but I did expect to see a movie that included the basic facts of the 'Noah' story. Unfortunately, this debacle was so far removed from the original story that I'm tempted to call it intentional blasphemy and I'm left wondering whether God will hold the author or authors accountable. My wife and I nearly left the theater when the 'Watchers' were introduced but managed to endure until Russell Crowe told his family that they all would die, implying that God only used them to build a boat to save the animals. Disgusting!

Chris Pine is maturing and his acting shows it. With a mediocre rating from Metacritic, my wife and I almost waited to rent the disc but relented and went to see it on 'senior discount day' and we were pleasantly surprised. The movie has just the right amount of action and is intelligently done. The cinematography is not first rate in places but overall it was a very enjoyable flick.

Apparently, none of the reviewers have never seen Space Cowboys. A movie made in 2000, Just as good, and it was only given a 73. The acting was better also.
