Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare8
Feb 26, 2014
A great improvement to the PvZ franchise, Garden Warfare will keep you entertained, and will keen your head in the game. First of all, this game is stupid. This is not bad - it might be stupid, but it's hilarious and extremely fun. There are 2 games I want to reference here that I think this game was partially modeled after. First of all, Mass Effect 3 veterans might realize the similar shop system, item system, and several characters per class. Battlefield veterans will realize the similar gameplay and classes. This game is definitely one of the best Xbox One semi-exclusives, and you won't regret buying it. One of the problems I found, and one of the reasons I'm penalizing the game are because of the godawful servers. I can't find a match making game without my Xbox being put into stasis waiting for a game, or errors connecting.

Battlefield 46
Feb 3, 2014
Eh. The story is extremely buggy - my saves have been wiped - twice. It really isn't all that fun anyways, and it is extremely short. Thankfully there is some diversity in between this linear game. Story: 6. It picks up with the multiplayer, but it still doesn't provide memories like the times I had in BF3. Plus, even on Xbox One, the next-gen console, it still crashes. A lot. Multiplayer: 6. Other stuff? Despite the game's flaws, Frostbite 3 and the graphics are astounding; completely amazing. Constant crahes are lowering my review by at least a point. Overall: 7 DICE, next time, if you don't release a game that's still in beta, you might have better reviews. Overall: 6

Call of Duty: Ghosts3
Feb 3, 2014
This game is terrible. It completely upheaves what good work Infinity Ward had done, and left us with a steaming pile of crap. After purchading this, I'm now asking myself why I buy Call of Duty every year. And to be honest, I don't know. To start off, the campaign leaves you dissatisfied with a taste of possibly some action and caring for the characters. Overall, I felt no remorse for anybody in the story and had little to no fun playing it. Story: 5 The multiplayer was beyond terrible - less appealing than ever before. I don't even have the urge to play enough to prestige, which has never happened to me before. This game makes Black Ops look like a masterpiece. The multiplayer is unoriginal, and if anything, actually dimmed down. It's completely unbalanced. Multiplayer: 3. Extinction - or, in other words, a ripoff version of Zombies. Less fun, less attractive, and more ridiculous, you're fighting aliens this time. Complete a few bland objectives, shoot a few guns, and run alot. It's Zombies without the fun of Zombies. There's barely any dynamic evemts, except for Hive placement. Extinction: 4. Other, miscellaneous stuff? The graphics look like they're from a game produced in 2008. Lag, hit detection, and other persisting problems that have been in CoD games forever and never fixed exist bere as well. There aren't dynamic events in multiplayer, despite what the developers said. So lies, too. Other: 2 Overall, you're looking at a piece of trash. Worthless. Overall: 3.

Dead Rising 39
Feb 1, 2014
Totally amazing, and eras better than its predecessors. Dead Rising 3 was a blast all around and kept me entertained for hours on end. They showcased their creativity with combo weapons and vehicles, and created a unique story. While confusing and in snippets, the stort is well showcased. Also, one thing that at least raised my review by a point is co-op. This has to easily be one of the best games for grabbing a friend and just killing zombies. I definetly recommend it. This is a worthy new generation game.

Dead Rising 3: Operation Broken Eagle4
Feb 1, 2014
I payed 10 bucks for this? Broken Eagle offers nothing new to the typical Dead Rising experience. We have been totally screwed over. With under 2 hours of gameplay, no co-op, no bosses, only one new combo weapon and no new combo vehicles, Broken Eagle is terrible.

This game is unusual, but in a good and refreshing way. It is a platformer with your main objective being to kill the lord of the castle you're stuck in. The story is somewhat weak, but fun anyways. The two things I dislike would be, A: The major repetition of the f-word, s-word, etc. and it's just sort of unnecessary. They use the words so much it gets annoying. Honestly. The other would be lack of a control interface, so I was stuck using the arrow keys rather than the WASD keys. Oh well. Overall, pretty good game.

Prototype 28
Jul 1, 2013
Now, I never played the original, but Prototype 2 is loads of fun with cars to throw at civilians, and, well, zombies to throw at civilians. ANYTHING to throw at civilians. This game has a multitude of missions and upgrades to destroy the enemy with. I would say that my only concern are somewhat clanky controls. Otherwise, good buy for only about $25 now. Overall 8 Story 7 Free-Roam 9 "Fun" Level 8 Accidentally posted this review on my old profile first. Oh well.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II5
Jun 19, 2013
Black Ops II is a decent Call of Duty game, but doesn't peak any records. The campaign was interesting and introduced a new twist. The characters were forgettable and the missions were somewhat fun. Campaign is a 6. The multiplayer was as awful as Black Ops with bad hit detection, huge amounts of lag, and bad map **** to 1st prestige before I found myself back in Modern Warfare 2 and 3. Multiplayer is a mediocre 4. Zombies was fun and entertaining, but nowhere near the amazing entertainment that Black Ops packed. Zombies is the only reason I still play Call of Duty Black Ops 2. It deserves a 7. Overall, Black Ops 2 earns a five from me, below normal Call of Duty standards. I've found that almost every game made by Infinity Ward surpasses Treyarch's crappy games. Hopefully Ghosts will raise the standard a little. Overall 5

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon7
Jun 19, 2013
Blood Dragon is an entertaining stand alone game, but can be 100% completed pretty quickly. There's nothing to do after that except go blast Blood Dragons with the Killstar. It is an amazingly hilarious game made that perfectly mimics a post apocalyptic game from the 80's. The gameplay is fun, but after leaving the player completely finished, there does not seem to be enough. I found myself wishing for more. It took me only about 5 hours to completely finish everything (all files, all attachments, all garrisons, etc.) and it didn't feel like 15 dollars worth. Enjoy the experience, because it's over pretty quickly.

Far Cry 38
Jun 19, 2013
Far Cry 3 is an awesome game experience, as it boasts an unusual yet amazing gameplay. Stealth is a major factor and makes you feel like a ninja. The interface is easy to explore and the open world is beautiful, original, and humongous. The campaign is outstanding on all levels. The multiplayer is the low side to this game, as not many people play it and it truly isn't all that entertaining. It is not awful, but it isn't good. The co-op campaign is pretty fun, and each mission is extremely long (good or bad? You decide). There is little replay value, but admittely, it takes forever to finish all 100% of the game. Overall 8 Campaign 10 Multiplayer 6 Co-Op Campaign 7 Replay Value 3

Battlefield 39
Jun 19, 2013
I was never a big fan of the Battlefield series, and I did not buy Battlefield 3 until it was out for a while. I didn't know how much I was missing. As a once big CoD fanboy, I always had the "Call of Duty is always better" perspective. Well, let me just say that Battlefield absolutely blows Call of Duty out of the water. The multiplayer is infinitely more fun with vehicle warfare, way better graphics, well designed maps, and a good server system (other than the fact you have to pay to make a server). Granted, I wouldn't buy Battlefield solely for its campaign. It is short in game standards but is still a blast to play. Co-op campaign is fun also, but extremely short and lacks missions. If you want an amazing experience, this game is way better than CoD. Overall 9 Campaign 8 Multiplayer 10 Co-Op Campaign 9

Defiance7
Jun 19, 2013
Defiance is a good game, but not chart-topping. It takes on several MMO standards such as a loot system, weapon levels, and enemy variation. However, the fact that it is from a 3rd person view and has a very single player like system makes it much different. Defiance is fun and original for while, but is very repetitive after a while. The side quests seem to mimic each other as kill this or collect that. Servers are laggy and patching is long. I'm going to give this one a 7 and end it here because there isn't much to review. Overall 7 Story 7 Gameplay 7 Multiplayer 7 Graphics, Misc 7 I think you see where I'm going with this.

Gears of War: Judgment4
Jun 19, 2013
Gears Of War: Judgment doesn't deserve to be called a game rather than an extremely overpriced DLC. The campaign was extremely short, Survival is nothing like Horde, and multiplayer is awful. The campaign was the best part about the game. It provided some challenge and it stayed fun with the optional side objectives. I'll give that a 7. Multiplayer has never been Gears' strong side and it got even worse here. It was boring, to be exact. 3 Survival and Overrun. They got rid of Horde, the for sure best part of Gears of War 3. No building fortifications or raking in cash and using it strategically. Survival isn't fun I played it twice. Overrun is decent but gets old quick. Overall 4 Story 7 Multiplayer 3 Overrun and Survival 4 You dissapointed me, Epic.

Halo: Reach9
Jun 19, 2013
Halo: Reach provides a satisfying, awesome outlook on every aspect. Firefight was an awesome idea and definently took up much of my time. The multiplayer playlists, while not as cleverly sculpted as Halo 3, were fun and contained a user-based map selection. Campaign was also enriching. Commendations added an extra side of objective. I'm giving this a 9 because of two things: a lack of creativity in multiplayer firefight maps (excluding Forge World). All non-DLC maps other than Forge World were copied from parts of the campaign. The other downside was a decrease in custom game options (i.e. no instant kill) Overall 9 Story 9 Multiplayer 10 Maps 7 Misc., Firefight, Forge, Theater 10 Custom Games 9

Halo 310
Jun 19, 2013
I can easily say this is my favorite game of all time. I would spend hours playing custom games with my friends, deep into the night. The moments I had with game are unforgettable. Considering this game is 6 years old, I won't do a long review, but the campaign was outstanding. Forge was a new and genius idea. Multiplayer was extremely addicting. The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series7
Jun 19, 2013
The Walking Dead provides an interactive, heart-braking experience as you go through Lee Everett's survival tale. You meet and lose characters along the way, and just ad you start to like me they areCon ripped apart by the hands of the living dead. Intense, right? The story is thoughtful and saddening. It was addicting and kept the "Oh, there's a new part, I have to play it now!" feel. The graphics were made so that the game moved and felt like a living comic of the Walking Dead. Gameplay was decent, as it was mostly about choices and desicions than the typical search-and-click kind of game. Admit it though, one key factor made me disappointed. There's no replay value. BattleBlock Theater10
Jun 19, 2013
Battleblock Theater is easily one of the most addicting and entertaining arcade games Xbox Live had to offer. The story is hilarious, and the gameplay is an amazing blend of action, puzzle, and parkour. Everything down to the backgrounds of the levels are filled with comedy. This is by far the Behemoth's best product. With an extensive level editor and unlimited levels to play by your fellow Xbox Live members, the game has unlimited replay value. There is also an awesome multiplayer which if all else fails can keep the player entertained for an hour or 2. This game is definently worth your 15 dollars. You won't be disappointed. Halo 46
Jun 19, 2013
Halo has always been one of my favorite series. I played Halo 2 when I was 4 years old, and as a 14-year old I'm completely emerged into the lore and action of the games, books, and soon to be show. Halo 3 was my all time favorite as I would spend whole days just enjoying custom games or multiplayer. Then Halo: Reach came along. While not as good as its predecessor, it provided a compelling forge experience and brought along my favorite Halo game mode, Invasion. Then came Halo 4. Halo 4 provides a decent game experience, but does not rock the charts like 3 and Reach. The campaign was weak, definetly the weakest part of the game. It lacked level design, a soundtrack, and story at that. I would give the campaign a solid 4. Multiplayer was decent. The maps were OK. The weapons and ordnance ideas were actually pretty cool, but the lack of playlists is saddening. Overall, I ended up going back to Reach after a while (it had more players, what about that?) Multiplayer 6. The graphics were outstanding and made a beautiful, rich, and enhanced game. 10 Lastly, Spartan Ops took up most of my time. I frankly enjoyed these small levels way more than the campaign. They were fun and had the whole "just kill things" mist with a side of objective. However, the lack of maps made for repetitive gameplay. Misc. 8 OVERALL (not based on averages), Halo 4 is good with a 6, but 3 or Reach is better.

Fable III7
Jun 18, 2013
I was one of many Xbox Live Gold subscribers who grabbed the game for free, and it was worth the 1 hour, 5.6 GB download. Fable III provides an entertaining campaign that keeps the player excited. However, it was pretty short and only took me 2 days to finish. Granted, the game was addicting enough to have me at it all day, but still. I'm giving it a 7 because of the other amazing things that keep the game alive. Many side quests, marriage, real estate, collecting keys/gnomes/flowers/books all kept me going. Also, being able to have 20 wives and 50 children at once is quite humorous (the game does boast a sense of humor). The story was decent (no spoilers, no worries). Your brother is a tyrant that seems to be torturing his kingdom and you are his reckoning. Unbeknownst to you an even worse threat lies outside of Albeon. Meh. Overall 7 Story 5 Gameplay 8 Multiplayer 6 Free-Roam Aspect 8
