This is the game that started it all. This game truly is one of the best classics in gaming history. The atmosphere and puzzles are still great and when playing the game you get the sense of nostalgia and it really is just great to relive a classic. People say the controls **** even when the game was released but i say that the games meant to be like that. I believe its supposed to be hard to evade the various monsters on the mansion grounds. The intro and voice acting, even how terrible they might be, will always remain as some of the most memorable things from this game. No matter what your genre is in gaming, no one can say that this game is not a classic and will be forever.

I feel that this game has moved away from the survival horror genre with this game. Its because of this game that i actually became interested in survival horror and have loved this series as well as the Silent Hill series. Anyway the game is really good on its own. The story has started fresh in my opinion by moving away from zombies and introducing new types of enemies. the gameplay itself is really good. The new laser aim is a nice addition but i believe it takes away from the horror element of the game. Besides there are way to many weapons in the game and too much ammo to be considered a survival horror game in my opinion. The graphics are nice but i think that they could have done a little better. The game does get boring on replays mostly because you know what to expect and you know what lurks behind every corner. I believe its with this game that Resident Evil started to drift away from survival horror and lean towards more action/shooter styles. Anyway this is a great game to play and own if you have been a Resident Evil fan since the beginning or are new to the series.

I love Batman and this was a really fun game. LEGO games are already addictive enough but throw Batman in the mix and its great. The only real problem is the AI in the game, it could have been a little more challenging in my opinion but its still a great game. If you like LEGO games and have a DS than this is a must buy.

To be honest i really liked this game, Ultimate Mortal Kombat AI always whooped on me so its never really fair. The addition of having all the special moves and all the fatalities is quite handy and Puzzle Kombat makes it a sure by for fans of the series. I recommend it to any hardcore Mortal Kombat fan out there.

This game, even by todays standards, is still amazing. The graphics are still some of the best i have ever seen and the over scare factor is great. This isnt just a remake, its a reimagining. There are so many differences to the original, and so much added in. The game is just great. You have to burn zombies or decap them or they'll come back as crimson heads and they are tough. The new defensive items are a big help to escape getting hurt and the game is still just so good looking its impressive. Why cant they make all games look like this? The atmosphere is fantastic and the controls ( though most people dont like them) are great because thats how this game is meant to be played. I really suggest this game to anyone whos a fan of survival horror just cause of how great it really is.

This game is just really fun. Brings back the good old days of the N64 but with some new stuff. More characters to start off. You start as Yoshi and unlock everyone else as you progress. The controls are a little stiff but if you are good at playing than you'll have no problem. The mini games are fun and are also a little fun to unlock. The new levels are also fun and the Bowser fights never get old. This game is just really addictive and a great re-release of an already historic game and i suggest it for everybody cause who can get tired of Mario?

I really hate giving a Resident Evil game a low score but this one just wasnt so great. The graphics are great, the controls are what to expect. I thought the monsters and bosses were good but the puzzles just ****. I mean there were just too many of them and some of them didnt even make sense. I think the over emphasis on puzzles is what ruined the game for me but i dont know. i thought that the game itself was pretty good, but not as good as compared to the 1st 3 resident evil games. I do like the story however and thats really about it. This is perhaps the lowest score I would give a main Resident Evil Game.

Im just gonna start of by saying that i knew this game was completely different than the others in the series and i was interested in how the game would play out. Turns out that i really did like this game. Even though its so much different than the others in the series it really impressed me. The amount of detail put into it was amazing and the puzzles i found were good, even though some of them had me scratching my head. When i realized combat was taken out of the game i was a little worried but i found it a great addition. It made the nightmare sequences much more panicky than the other games. The games story, i believe, is brilliant. Im not gonna spoil anything but after beating the game i was left in awe. I was amazed at how much i got into the game, especially during some of the nightmare sequences (like the nowhere like area) some of it just amazed me by how psychologically this game was. People would rather pass up on this game cause theres no shooting and what not and thats fine. But please dont complain about it, alot of shooting games are absolutely terrible and id honestly prefer this game if people like a deep story and like to figure things out.

I hate when people complain about this game, that the controls ****, that the graphics are terrible, that the voice acting is beyond terrible. We have all heard it before, this game is a port with added features of the PS1 game Resident Evil for the Nintendo DS. What would you expect from a port? It has the same controls as the original and the game was made to celebrate the series 1st decade. This port of the game has some nice features that make playing the game so much easier. Like the knife button, now thats a handy tool so you always have one on you and it doesnt take up a space. Than there is the 180 degree turn that wasnt in the original and the live reload from RE4. These all make the game better and it doesnt take away from the nostalgia that the game delivers. Included is a new mode called Rebirth mode with new puzzles, more enemies, more ammo, and new knife battle sequences. A pretty good addition if i do say so. If your a fan of survival horror, and you understand what the game is about and how you are supposed to play it (control scheme and all) or if you played the original Resident Evil and liked it than take it with you on the DS. For those of you who dont well oh well, just dont play it.

Silent Hill: Origins

Silent Hill Origins i believe did justice to the series. Honestly Silent Hill 4: The Room just didn't really make a good game. It was just so different than the previous 3. However, this game is a prequel to the 1st game of the series and in my mind its pretty decent. The story is pretty decent enough in my opinion. The only things i don't really like about the game were the not so great controls. It bugged me that my character was a bit sloppy to control in tight places and what not. The combat system was interesting to me however i felt that some weapons could have lasted longer than others. The plethora of weapons in the game was amazing but i just felt a little let down. I was used to the usual 3 or 4 melee weapons and 3-4 firearms in Silent Hill games. This game has between 10-20 or so melee weapons (some are throwable and break after a single it) and around 6 guns. Thats just too much for a survival horror game and when playing through it you never really have to worry about running out of weapons or ammo cause there is just so much of it throughout. The transitions to the Other World are pretty interesting as you control when to go back and forth, however it does get annoying at some points. The enemies throughout the game are mostly OK. The nurses are easy, the straighjackets look like a rip off of the lying figures from Silent Hill 2 and the final boss is just something i never really expected to see out of these games. Also finishing the enemies are a little difficult as, say you knocked down an enemy and another one is around you sometimes finishing off the enemy wont work like you press the button and nothing happens, and if you do finish off the enemy while your character is in the process of it another enemy is charging an attack and sometimes is just unavoidable. This game does have its flaws as most games do but i liked it and would prefer it if you are a fan of the series.

This game, even though it is old by today's standards is one of the best games ever made. People complain that the game has **** controls or its not action-y enough but that's not the point of survival horror games such as Silent Hill. They just don't make games like this anymore, this is a rare one with so much thought and detail put into every little thing. The story let alone is just enough to make you want to play it cause it goes so deep and into the mind of the player. Sure the controls are a little annoying and combats not so great throughout but it wouldn't get the same effect from players if it was changed. Let alone the different endings you receive based on how you treat you character and some other instances but you do get into the game. The 1st time i played it i was en-raveled by the story and just felt compelled to keep playing it until i found everything out and its just amazing at how much of a masterpiece this game really is. Hopefully someday a game like this will appear again and i shall wait until than, but for now this game is still one of the best, get it if you like this kind of game.
