I normally don't write reviews, butIfelt compelled to for this game. Also,I was not a fan of any of the persona games, or SMT. I love this game, it takes every that i loved from the persona games and brings it here, but with a full, compelling, and throughly engrossing fantasy story narrative, with deep and progressive gameplay elements. Must play.

Death Stranding

Yeah I get it, people find it "boring". In todays society these types of games are shunned for not being instantly gratifying. It's such a tragic set of circumstances in my humble opinion. This game is really an amazing experience if you embrace it for what it is, which is a simulated sci fi experience, in which you immerse yourself into the role of Sam Bridges on his journey through the world in a bid to understand and unravel the mystery of the death stranding. I won't put any spoilers here, suffice to say the game does an amazing job of really making you feel like your journeys to deliver items of importance are impactful and whilst the game is linear, I still got an amazing amount of satisfaction planning my trips to avoid perilious situations, and ensuring I had the relative tools at hand to combat the terrain I was planning to navigate. Maybe this isn't for everyone, but in no way shape or form is it bad. To some it may be boring, granted, but for the people who this game was made for, and for those that can appreciate the amount of detail and love that was poured into making this title, it really is a diamond in the rough that deserves the respect of gamers around the world. I hope games like this, and those such as Detroit aren't canned because of the narrowmindedness of our current generation. Otherwise we'll end up having nothing but COD clones and FIFA for eternity. I dread the thought.

You played one, you've played them all. Assassins Creed hasn't been relevant since Assassins Creed II, and if you're feeling exceedingly Generous, Black Flag. As some other astute reviewers have already pointed out, this is a literal reskin of origins, with some tacked on new elements, and then topped it all off with a lathering of good old microtransactions. Y'know, the fact that you're going to charge over £100 for the top tier release of the game isn't enough, you need to rip the player off in game too, touche Ubisoft. Whilst I wouldn't fall for this corporate mess in a month of mondays, I do applaud Ubisoft on managing to continually mug legions of people off, time, after time, after time..... Frankly, it's impressive. Hey Koei, you could learn a lot from old Ubisoft. Time to upgrade Dynasty Warriors, and get on that Cash Cow train, choo choo, **** thanks.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

A really fantastic experience all round, and tour de force of old school nostalgia sprinkled everywhere. If you (like me) are a fan of the golden age of JRPGS throughout the 90's, then you'll absolutely love this title. It's filled with classics JRPG nuance throughout, complete with fairytale storytelling and big on character development. If I had to give the game one negative, and the reason this is not a 9, but rather an 8, is the music is awfully repetitive. They have the same music for towns, and the same music for outside town in a number of places, and it repeats throughout the game. If they'd been a little less lazy and created a slightly more varied soundtrack then this would have been a magical 9/10 (I don't believe in 10/10 as this means it's flawless, and I don't believe any game is without a least a few smattering of flaws).# Either way, the simple summary is this. If you like 90's JRPGs, and like strong, comical characters, with a fun loving, but also quite in depth fairytale storyline, then you'll absolutely love Dragon Questi XI.

Dark Souls Remastered

For the people whining. You're not forced to buy the game. Don't like it, don't buy it. I happen to really appreciate this remaster being a PS4 owner. I have long since sold my PS3, and have been wanting to return to Dark Souls again for quite some time, so this release really is great for me. Also, having the Pro allows me to enjoy the game in 4k glory, with the upscale in textures and resolution. Together with a few QoL upgrades, I'm able to once again fully enjoy this fantastic title, and relive some of my most memorable gaming experiences..... All whilst dying...... A lot. For those of you that are newcomers to Dark Souls, enjoy the experience. It's definitely one worth investing in. Ignore the naysayers and "Cash cow" cynics, this game is still very much worth the price tag, if not just for the masterfully crafted gameplay, and atmosphere. A solid 8/10. I only took two points off. 1 for not fixing some bugs that should of definitely been fixed from the original, including some horrible new graphical and audio glitches that weren't in the original. The second point reduction for not adding additional trophies for the DLC (which has been included as a whole packaged title. Wouldn't of been hard to add this in, especially for just a remaster).

Let's just say that the title of the game is a decidedly apropos name, and leave it at that. Like others have already stated, this game had a lot of good premise, and on paper looked like it would be a real blast. But the reality of the matter is this game should of been shelved months, or even years ago, as it clearly went down the wrong path and never made a recovery. Poor implementation, very buggy, and repetitive, boring and frankly just overall a very poor experience. Best let this one fade into obscurity, and hope the developers can bounce back. I'm sure they want to forget about this game, as much as I do....

Fantastic game, and a masterful remake of an absolute classic. Firstly, for the naysayers, and haters. The landscape in this game is not baron, it's artistic. Whilst this is subjective, the game was originally designed to be marveled at, and to enjoy the open landscapes. I remember on PS2 being blown away by how vast the expanding scenery was, and gave the world an ethereal feel to it. This version of the game built on the back of that, and certainly delivered. The world feels magical and pulls you in to its mysticism. If it doesn't for you, then that's just an inability to appreciate the great atmospheric conditions provided by the developers. The controls, were a bit tricky at times, which is why I took a point off, but they are by no means horrible. I was able to ride the horse fine without any real problems. Most of the time you're in open fields galloping, this is done purposefully to enjoy the view, and appreciate the world you've been thrust into. The collosi are just, well, breathtaking. When you see them lumbering around, you really feel small and vulnerable, but at the same time, I feel a certain sorrow for them, I can't really explain it, it's just the way the game is cinematically presented to you. The soundtrack only adds to the depth of the experience, and I remember the game as fondly as I did when I first picked it up on release for PS2. To Summarize: If you have appreciation for more than just material content (I.E a million quests to do), and enjoy an artistic, and atmospheric experience where you fill in your own agenda with your imagination, then this is a title you will thoroughly enjoy. If however, you're not someone who can appreciate video games as an art form, or have little to no patience, then you're probably best avoiding the game. For most people this is a unique title, that very much deserves its praise, and I'm happy it's been made available for the next generation to enjoy in all its magnificence.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT

Very disappointing title. Being an FF fan (And I would like to add not played prvevious dissidia titles) I went into this with a free perspective, and positive mind. However, I was sorely disappointed with what was very limiting content for quite an extortionate price. The online mode is not only laggy due to P2P node connections and vary wildly, but are horrible for being teamed up with other players. This is specifically noticeable if you are teaming up with a friend and waiting for a 3rd. Waiting for nearly 10 minutes for a game is not a fun experience Square Enix! In addition, the customization is extremely lacklustre and uninspiring, the modes very limiting, and story locked behind a grind wall. It got very boring, very quickly. Not to mention, in most cases as a bronze player, and having no dissidia experience going up against Bronze E players did not feel balanced, and some of the people you faced clearly were better than Bronze E ranking. Finally, the graphics and the soundtrack pulled me into this game, it certainly did all the character creations justice, and it looks like a Final Fantasy game. Ultimately though, I'd give this game a miss, it's feels incomplete, and not up to Par.
