An amazing detailed game world and story plagued by a hilariously simple ai and and crime system. The crime mechanics and how police spawn right on top of you is a joke and does not fit into the rest of the game. The ai traffic system is hilarious, so primitive and has no idea you exist. All car chases are pre scripted, no dynamic ai like CDPR said there would be. It's extremely immersion breaking how crowds pop in and out and de-spawn when you look away. Same thing with cars, look at them and look away, look back and all new ****. The rest of the game is amazing but they janked it with a simplistic traffic and ai crime system that is just pathetic and not fun to interact with at all. Gunfights with npcs just stand there letting you shoot them, police will literally spawn on top of you even if you're on top of a building! Just really broke immersion in a game you are supposed to be able to immerse yourself into. This game is a broken mess and people are defending it and I hope eventually they too will realize this game is not that good. The hype train is rolling strong, I love CDPR but this is unacceptable.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War8
Nov 16, 2020
I really feel like Treyarch is keeping it real, this version of CoD feels closer to the original versions that sparked the entire CoD rush. Mutiplayer maps feel great and flow so much better than the sandbox style mp maps in MW2019. Zombie mode has tons of content, and allowing you to progress your weapons and profile through playing zombies as well. This is prob my favorite version of CoD so far, I love MW2019 but i was not a fan of the mp map design. If you loved the old school CoD shooters then you will most likely appreciate Cold War. The audio and actually being able to hear foot steps is so nice, hats off to the audio. Does it look worse than mw2019... yes and no, the maps are very clear and crisp and vibrant making enemies easy to see at long range. The audio is not as realistic like MW19 but the gunfire doesn't drown out everything else around allowing you to hear better. You can actually hear foot steps now which is amazing. Careful sprinting **** It doesn't have all of the fancy bells and whistles MW2019 has but a few things this game has over MW is map design hands down, Cold War has some of the best maps I have seen in years, they flow very nice and the pace is good. The TTK is much faster in Cold War allowing you to kill with a few shots versus a solid full clip. Overall I feel Treyarch made a FUN to play CoD this time, it feels like Black Ops 2 all over again.

Why did you give console peasants an aim bot? Do you realize there are console USB mods out there that manipulate this giving console players no recoil and heavy heavy aim assist like almost and aim bot!? What are you thinking Activision!? They have a number of cheats and macros they can use. Hopefully you guys can detect 3rd party usb drives soon to get rid of them. It's sad when a PC player has to disable cross play because of this. The MP maps are worthless, unbalanced once again and way too small for the amount of players in the game. it's literally a rage inducing crap show over and over with people camping their spawns and then the spawns never rotate. Trash. Not one bit of fun in the MP side of the game. It's garbage. Warzone is the only reason this game is living, they managed to make one mode correctly. Continue to pursue cheaters, otherwise this game is pointless to play, it's already an unbalanced crap show and cheaters make it far worse. Not fun at all. If I could refund I would.

DiRT Rally 2.06
Feb 17, 2020
DiRT Rally 2.0 plays nothing like the original DiRT Rally, it's not a simulator in fact I'm really not sure what Codemasters is trying to do with the series now. I was under the impression that the Dirt Rally series would be the sim version of the game and just the regular Dirt series was the arcade version. I guess I was wrong... Lets start with times and balances, Codemasters is all over the place with ai times. I feel like they dumbed down the game to make it easier for people to play and in return they altered the ai times to beat considerably. So basically they added a ton of stability and traction to the game and jacked up the times to beat is what I'm experiencing. Now it seems like a lot of cars are missing, I'm getting the impression that we lost a bit of inventory and that inventory ended up in a marketplace. It seems as if they are starting to lean towards some of the same shady practices that other developers use to sort of kindly force people to buy cars off the store. Certain races with very limited options unless you purchase them, if you're going to half bake a game then half bake the price as well please. These types of developer choices ruin reputations with the player base, I would urge Codemasters to stop since their games are not popular enough to support these types of practices. Not only that it's shady as you can get. The game is a hybrid of Dirt Rally with much more control and stability but much faster career competing times. Faster than actual world record ****!! Hilarious. Overall if you're a fan of Dirt Rally this game is nothing like it as in terms of stability, traction and control. It's very arcade like and Codemasters is starting to lean towards the marketplace more and more taking cars away. If the times were balanced better and more cares available from the start for specific classes I would recommend. As of right now I would pass unless you get a great sale.

Red Dead Redemption 210
Jan 19, 2020
i5 6400 2.7Ghz quad core / 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz / GTX 1070 8G Gaming. Not sure what problems people are having but I have this machine and have no issues running the game, I'm running 1080p locked in @ 60fps with vsync. All settings on high & ultra except reflections and shadows are on medium. I get frame drops down to 45-50 or so temporarily for a few seconds after entering a town. Other than that I have no issues running the game, I'm not making this review to smash it in people's faces but it's not affecting everyone is what i'm saying. Now onto the review of Single player: This game is hands down one of the most detailed content loaded games I have seen in a long time, everything just comes together and creates an amazing immersive experience. No DLC is planned for SP and now after playing around 40+ hours I know why, it's loaded down with a huge amount of content in all areas. Hunting & fishing was well designed and fun to do and rewarding, there are a ton of different fish and animal species you can hunt and fish along with those rare legendary critters as well. Ridiculous amount of species in this game, from small frogs to giant bears I was very impressed by the amount of detail in the animals and horses. Rockstar has a good way of slowly introducing the game to you and unlocking and progressing in such a realistic and immersive way. The characters are very alive and you can really identify their moods and personality to where the player can create a bond with these characters easily. The graphics are stunning, utterly amazing. The original Red Dead was gorgeous, this game surpasses that in every way. The game world is extremely detailed and very polished, best looking most realistic game world I have ever seen guys. It's literally alive around you hearing the birds chirping over head, small and large game squeaking through the woods grazing about and easily getting spooked. Just stand back and observe the game ****'s breathtaking. Weapons, gear, tack, ammo, provisions, tools, all of these make a huge comeback form the original. Lots more variants of hunting and fishing gear, and yes you get to fully customize your weapons now which is a fantastic addition. Not to mention customizing your horse now as well. Overall I don't give games a 10/10, this game deserves it. Sorry to hear about all of the players having technical difficulties starting and playing the game. I run a very lean pc, everything runs off of an NVMe M.2 SSD and that may be why I run so well dunno. But it's just games and my OS that's it. No weirdo programs running in the background. Hopefully people can get this issue resolved cause this a great effing game.

No Man's Sky Beyond7
Jan 15, 2020
Hello games has made huge strides in the recent years since the initial release of no Man's Sky. They have had several major updates adding loads of content, basically everything promised in 2016 is now delivered. The bad, the game unfortunately is riddled with bugs and mission breaking issues. Hello games in my opinion has finally succeeded, now it's time to get to work on fixing bugs, polishing and QoL improvements. Many bugs have been addressed and fixed but there are so many and every time content is added more bugs come. At this point Hello games needs to stop adding content and work on fixing the existing systems and bugs that plague this amazing very ambitious game.

Solid all around shooter, very fun to play online in large scale battles. A great representation of the Vietnam war. Team work is key, had a blast playing online with friends several hours of fun and frustration. Great online shooter with a multiplayer campaign mode, large selection of classes, weapons, and tools. Pretty solid graphics and mechanics, def a must buy fr anyone that like large scale open battles with multiple objectives.

Poorly executed, rushed development and rushed release since the studio was in dire need of funds. Severe connection issues cursed this game from the launch, blamed on third party services the game was using. Avoid this game, many other shooters out there to waste your money on.

Not sure what it was about this game but I got bored with it very quickly, the same countless shooter looter kill and enemy loot them and compare gear...rinse and repeat. Not at all saying it's a bad game but just feels like more of what it was before and really nothing too spectacular that is new.

Blast from the past! Old school fps at it's finest, this game represents old school classics from the 90's like Heretic & Hexen. Made with UE4 Tech, this is a modern version of an old school fps. Very fast paced, large puzzles to solve and huge maps and many variants of enemies to destroy. Plays very much like any of the originals in modern format.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands8
Jan 1, 2020
Ghost Recon Wildlands I absolutely adored the original Ghost Recon series by Redstorm, Wildlands is somewhat relatively similar in regards to giving your ai team mates orders and scouting out the objective and decide how you're going to approach the objective. The coop in Wildlands is on point, the solo in Wildlands is also on point. It's pretty difficult to find a large HUGE open world map detailed with missions for you and your online buddies to carry out and drop in and out seamlessly. All of this can be done solo too with the help of ai team mates, the ai isn't actually too bad with my personal experience. If they got stuck they eventually magically warp to you (which is nice) not causing performance issues or crashes due to your ai teammates glitching out in a rock or what have you. Also the enemy ai won't detect your ai squad mates until you issue an order, that way your ai mates are not giving you away in stealth operations. Once you issue a fire command or any other order...they become visible to enemy ai. Nice touch Ubi.. well done. That's a finer example of sacrificing realism for game play...worth it. Wildlands I mostly play solo (since most of my friends are rambo online) and I had a great experience with using and issuing orders to the ai team mates. A pretty good array of weapons and gadgets, and the progression system is detailed with lots to work on and many skills and drone gadgets to aquire. The game is gorgeous as well, running on the Anvil 2.0 engine this game actually looks better than Breakpoint if you ask me I own both. Breakpoint looks decent but not as sharp and as clear as Wildlands. The shooting mechanics seem well done, bullet drop every weapon seems different to shoot and use. You can have first and third person aiming, and also a fairly easy ui to navigate. The optics look good and seem to actually work for ranging targets etc. Overall nice solo/coop 3rd person shooter. Lots of replay value and they still support ops online.

Subnautica8
Jan 1, 2020
Cure your fear of the ocean with Subnautica! There are a lot of open world survival games on the market today but Subnautica is one of the very few genuine games out there. Huge underwater alien ocean to explore with countless caves, tunnels, and several layers of depth even under the ocean floor! The game will give you the creeps and really gives you an immersive feeling when the sound, graphics, and story mash together. The game is not linear at all, the game's story is scattered in wreckage across the sea floor and crashed ships etc. It's up to you to carve your own story and survive the world of Planet 4645B, this game isn't about killing. It's about evading, surviving and when you meet a leviathan class for the first time you will understand. Gorgeous underwater bioluminescence and some really interesting biomes to explore, lots of gadgets to craft and use, base building, submarines to craft and make mobile bases. There is a lot to do in Subnautica, I spent around 100 hours and completed practically everything exploring including story, it was one of those few games that kept me interested to the very end. It has some performance issues, the game runs on unity and maybe they will get that incremental garbage collection plugin to their engine to help performance. Other than that the game is amazing and a must buy.

theHunter: Call of the Wild7
Jan 1, 2020
The is game is built on the Apex open world game engine, the game looks absolutely stunning running on Apex. Alot of people I see are basing their reviews off of graphics, the problem is although being one of the best hunting games on the market right now there are a number of online connection issues and syncing issues with multiplayer. The animal ai is decent but could use some more refinement and polishing for sure. The game supports several reserves optional to buy, you get some reserves with the game itself and one of the best reserves still to this day is the Pac Northwest Layton Lakes reserve that comes with the game. A wide variety of big game and small game to hunt, the progression system to unlock new weapons is very slow though, I believe this was geared down intentionally to nudge people towards the dlc packs for weapons and tools etc. If you're a hunting fan and a gamer, here is one of the best hunting sims we have available today.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance9
Jan 1, 2020
One of the most detailed medieval games ever created, you can really see and admire the work Warhorse studios put into this amazing game. Very well written story and lore, the characters in KCD are living and full of life and give you that really immersive feeling of being in the 1400's. There seems to always be something new hiding around that corner, this game will capture you for countless hours on end exploring the medieval world Warhorse created for you. There really is too much to list and mention, lots of skills to master and you can only level up a skill if you're using that skill. I adore this type of a progression system, it makes for more fun and more overall play. You are able to train with npcs to gain experience in combat, not only are you getting better proficiencies but you actually have to get better yourself via M&K or controller. It's a skill game and the game is not going to hold your hand. The combat system is brutal and very frustrating at first, you will find yourself pulling your hair out when you have two guys lopping long swords at you pummeling you with one hit knocking you down. The combat in KCD is very brutal and realistic, once you start grasping the controls and practicing and learning and training and training (seriously...name of the game is training) it gets more fun and less frustrating, stick with it and learn the combat learn how to defend yourself and attack correctly. This isn't a game you just rambo in and hack and slash... tried it.. failed miserably. That is what makes this game stand out above the rest...realism to the bone. All in first person so when you receive a blow to the old head.. your vision is getting twisted just like it would in rl. Your head almost does a **** Good times. Easily one of the best most detailed RPGs I have ever played. Every medieval gamer must own Kingdom Come Deliverance.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint2
Jan 1, 2020
Coming out of Wildlands into Breakpoint is quite the change... I feel like they took a couple steps backwards with this title, there are some things about Breakpoint I really liked however the cons outweighed the pros by far. Added a new camo system where you can bury yourself halfway in mud or dirt (not sure of this actually effects anything versus being prone) it kind of seems like just something to do since the ai in Breakpoint walk right past you if you're prone regardless. The fact they are trying to push people into playing online with others or PvP making the game only available if you have an online connection. When will developers realize that there are parts of the world that don't have the best internet and sometimes have to wait days to before internet comes back up. Also Don't force ANY game to be dependent on an online server connection, gamers shouldn't have to rely on your servers working to play a game they paid for. If your game doesn't work offline you're doing it wrong. The overall gear score they added makes no sense to me, you can kill practically everyone with a head shot with any weapon, it's basically filler content and only establishes a player's "level" or how much xp they have. So all the different rares and leveled up weapons make no sense other than just collecting them. Since any weapon can head shot anyone. It feels like they are trying to push the game into a different genre, the game feels like an inbred version of wildlands & some random shooter looter. Not sure where they are trying to take the series but if they were smart they would stop everything they are doing and re evaluate. Listen to your player base. The ai is in need of dire assistance, they are literally clueless as to what is going on around them. I shot a npc standing next to another npc and he didn't notice, that was really immersion breaking and for a "AAA" title we should have something in place for that. The game feels like a cookie cutter experience since a lot of the village and town layouts are strikingly similar. I went back to Wildlands to cure my hankering for some Ghost Recon, Wildlands is def harder and looks better and the ai is def smarter. if only someone would remake the original Ghost Recon and do it right!

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries7
Jan 1, 2020
Being a fan of the original Mechwarrior series I have to say Mechwarrior 5 is a lot like the originals in many ways. It's pretty much the same game loop with a few added perks, not saying at all this game is bad but it is basically a modern version of the originals. That being said I adore this fact but the game does fall short in some areas. The game has a huge galactic map with areas controlled by other factions giving you loads of replay. However the grind is real and starts to get very repetitive after 30 hours or so. The customization of the mechs is on point, quite the assortment of weapons and equip including unique and rare items. The game sounds great, I love hearing a ballistic weapon pounding on mech armor and the distant explosions from your fellow lance members destroying mechs and buildings. The ai in the game decent, they recently updated how ai spawns in and acts in combat and I noticed quite a difference in how the ai plays along side of you now. I would say it's improved compared to the initial launch. Overall it's a solid mechwarrior with fun combat and great sound, it carries all the mechwarrior universe lore you can handle. To me it feels like it could have more and not feel so empty and grindy and repetitive.
