Very average game overall, might have been quite unique at the time due to the setting but the game simply does not hold up anymore, the gameplay itself is repetitive and dated, the themes are quite dark but feel forced rather than cleverly integrated into the gameplay, so whilst it does appear to be quite mature it basically comes across as quite childlish. The two redeeming features are the graphics and the sound which are excellent for the time of release.

Horrible gameplay overall, the game engine actually cannot react quick enough to the ability of your opponent, so unless you time your movement by the millisecond you will likely be fighting the rigid character movement and reactions whilst attempting to return near perfectly placed shots from the CPU. I tried this game in Easy mode and only then do the CPU return shots which are relatively manageable to play against, Normal difficulty Mode is like playing Federer in real life, every shot will be a power shot and you will be forced to be as agile and skilled as possible to return every shot, even then you are in defensive and very rarely feel like you are in control of a rally, or even keep a rally going, and if every shot is a winner it does not make for a fun flowing tennis game. The graphics are also very average and animations are quite poor, the previous gen Tennis games animate much better than this, yes there are subtle animations which look current gen but this makes no difference if the overall presentation is poor. I don't understand how you can take a simple premise such as Tennis and turn it into a boring and frustrating slog ****, there is absolutely no character or soul in this game whatsoever and comes across as just a corporate cash grab looking to fill a space in the market.

Poor overall, glad i picked this up cheap because i would not have been impressed with the generic and uninspired design of this game for the full asking price. I also find it hard to believe this game is running on current gen hardware graphics as the quality overall is extremely low, Also fans of Senran Kagura will be very disappointed by the gameplay and lack of actual things which are related to this series aside from a few playable characters.

People are whining about the legacy of the series and the wokeness of this title as if any of the previous titles followed any type of quality control and plotline resembling anything other than Americana trash in it's absolute cheesiest and worst form. Hopefully, the poor reception will end this rubbish series for good but to be honest it has been lucky to get this far anyway.

Extremely disappointed by this game, very slow to start, dull environments, boring main character, gameplay is reduced to shooting the same types of enemies over and over. The critics who recommended this game I feel heaped praise on it due to the graphics and premise bearing similarity to the Twin Peaks tv series which also for the most part was also very slow paced and repetitive therefore the game did capture this at least impressively well. For those with a passing interest in what the Twin Peaks hype is all about and have never watched it then it is probably best to just simply watch the series rather than wasting time on this slow and boring game.

This game is very charming and provides fun gameplay with likeable and charming cast of characters in a depiction of downtown Taiwan, which is a unique setting within itself. The game is similar in design to Tokyo Mirage Sessions, however, i feel that Dusk Diver is far more relatable over the ultra cutesy idol fan service of TMS which actually detracts from the overall gameplay. The switch version of this game appears to be toned down graphically however the gameplay retains a steady pace with no real slowdown or frame glitches to speak of as such and for the most part still looks very good overall. The loading times are relatively quick which is important for a game which frequently travels between different environments. Overall it is a fun and interesting game to play especially in handheld as it does have easy pick up playability for short bursts. Those looking for a more customisable sim like experience might feel a little underwhelmed by the content on offer, however there are already games available like this, therefore the developers would only come under fire for attempting to copy such games. Overall recommended for Switch, however maybe at a reduced price.

This game is overwhelmingly poor with terrible design, incredibly shocking gameplay with skiing presented on the most basic of 3D maps which do not resemble slopes whatsoever and where you will be spending more time going uphill rather than downhill. The simple gameplay consists of collecting stars around the map, this is it, no racing, no exploration, bland same environment, I have seen much better efforts on mobile, and whilst the price is relatively low, I would not even recommend at the discounted rate because you will quickly realise within the first minute that you have made a terrible mistake in buying this game. I believe that for games such as this it should be possible to refund your money when the core design is so bad that it does not reflect the quality expected on the system, avoid at all costs.

Where to start with this, well, whilst the premise appears interesting in terms of the world and mysterious storyline behind the haunted manor, the gameplay is simply not fun. The game is very slow paced and the sneaking and hiding mechanic means you spend a good majority of time trial and error trying to avoid unfairly placed enemies, whilst walking around aimlessly trying to figure out where to go next. Whilst the games visuals are OK, they look very low Res on the switch and you would not believe they are running at HD quality, more so 480p, albeit with decent amount of detail. Unfortunately, the repetitive and slow nature of the gameplay means that it does not have very much pick up and play appeal, and little to no replay value once finished as the game is linear and story driven. Personally, I feel this is a bad game and poor value, I do not recommend this game.

Great art style however graphics and art alone cannot give this game a pass in terms of gameplay and fun. The game is basically a short linear story moving forward into new environments which contain various themes such as open ocean and then mystical wrecks and ruins. I did find the open ocean sections very impressive in art style and detail, but sadly these areas do not have much to do and pass by quickly in relation to the story. Puzzles are very simple in design and I did not take any more than 5 minutes to figure most of them out, I feel that you can tell the puzzles appeared to be added in rather than designed around the world. Unfortunately, the short experience and lack of actual things to do means this game feels just a bit boring to play and does not have lasting appeal or even any reason to replay other than visuals once you have reached the end. I do feel this game would be very visually interesting for kids and perhaps a nice experience for families to play together but even then I feel that the gameplay mechanics after the first 30 mins never really change and for older players there is not much here to keep you interested for long.

One of the worst RPG's I've played in the last 20 years. Everything starts promising, Interesting characters and story development, unique RPG mechanics, open world. Sadly, everything falls apart as soon as you start to realise how loose the story and plot development is. The game gives you zero direction and many times you will find yourself backtracking and speaking to every single person just to find a way to advance the story, and there are some story plots and areas which will not be revealed until you have progressed in a very particular order. Also, because some of these missions are optional and only available at select times, without direction you will find yourself missing very important items, characters and skills which are oblivious to you unless you have resorted to a guide in order to discover everything the game has to offer. This also means that you will be woefully underpowered and under skilled if you reach the endgame boss area without understanding the need to explore, upgrade and heavily manage your items, skills and spells during the normal story mode Problem is, the pace of story does not reflect your progress, and again, unless you were already in the process of massive grinding to level up your characters, you will quickly realise that all is actually in vein if you reach the end boss stage not being strong enough to proceed. Sadly, the game does not have enough quality and immersion to be worth grinding your way back through the average storyline over and over to find small quality of life upgrades for your team, and ultimately, the fact you need to even go ridiculously out of your way to obtain things which make the game remotely playable in latter stages says it all.

Excellent game, held off from this game due to the mixed reviews, however after now playing prime 3 and corruption I can say that Other M is the better of the two and remains very much faithful to the original gameplay of Metroid whilst introducing a new modern style, gameplay and story elements which feel grown up and mature compared to many other Wii and Nintendo titles. I believe that many people could not look past the character advancements and changes to Samus from previous games, however the game is intentionally an evolution and coming of age tale of Samus which in fact very much makes sense from a series perspective and is absolutely necessary to understand more about the character. I personally believe that metroid prime tainted the series style, however, looking at the two now in comparison, the controls and gameplay of Other M have aged far better than the cluttered and invasive controls of the nunchuk and wiimote setup of corruption. I am very happy with this game and as somebody who played the original metroid upon release I can say that the series has progressed in a positive way reimagining those corridors and alien invested ships and planets in a way which would be expected on a modern day console and is perhaps one of the best looking games on the Wii. The gameplay elements are fun and with a very decent level of challenge, and the controls work very smoothly and compliment the gameplay rather than hinder your enjoyment. Excellent game overall and would recommend picking up a Wii again for games of this quality.

Lots of content included in this game but in honesty the game itself has not aged very well and truthfully only the die hard first person pc shooter fans will likely get any enjoyment out of this game these days due to punishing difficulty, archaic level designs and cheap deaths which take you back to the beginning of level. The game is an exercise in frustration and I grew tired of the gameplay, it also shows as a reminder as to the progression of modern FPS games and how quality of life features and improved game design have vastly increased the fun factor of this genre. I completely disagree with critics reviews of this game and it makes me question whether they were just living on nostalgia.

I was looking forward to this game but sadly the gameplay is repetitive, slow paced and shallow. I would also say the graphics are not very good for a modern day game and noticeable slow down and graphical glitches upon nearly every major catastrophe takes away from the immersion of the game. The disaster element of the game is interesting at first however the game is padded out by long fetch quests and guessing the sequence of speaking to people in order to progress to the next area, this is fine for a few scenarios but when it becomes the main gameplay pattern of the game it quickly becomes monotonous and a chore to play. Overall not recommended.

Decent game in terms of content and gameplay but your experience and enjoyment will vary massively depending on how much patience you have for some of the overly sensitive control inputs and computer AI. I have found that bike choice also plays a major factor in how stable you can actually ride especially in terms of cornering ability, whereas the Honda machines appear to perform very well around the corners, the Kawasaki's and triumphs for example are completely useless and skid and drift sideways at any given opportunity. The career mode is also very challenging and I believe this difficulty is somewhat daunting and off putting for many newcomers to motorcycles. I do in fact ride a motorcycle in real life therefore the physics and handling of the bikes do feel similar to what you would expect and the timing and reaction of braking and throttle control is also very much on point, however this also makes the games inaccessible to many casual players and especially for players who are used to four wheels and not two. I usually play games like MotoGP in simulation mode, but there appears to be an option to toggle between casual arcade and SIM in most MotoGP games, whereas TT is very unforgiving and expects you to ride at the highest level each time to jump in. The AI are also inconsistently difficult, whereas you will be battling them as if it was the real TT for every inch and second in some races and then others they appear to be two minutes behind despite you not really doing that much faster than previous race, for example I beat the computer AI with a time of 14.30 on my first race of two with the comp finishing in the late 16 min region and then on the second race I couldn't keep up with the comp and they beat me with a early 14 min time. The worst aspect by far of this game is the inconsistent graphics which appear to look like something you would expect on a playstation 2 back in early 2000s. The game is constantly rendering the graphics as you play and after a lap the game appears to finally catch up and capture clearer graphics but even then they appear to be blurry and blocky and rough around the edges. The design and detail of the tracks and bikes are perfect, but the way in which the game struggles to keep up with the graphics rendering is very bad and is not something which should be released like this as a finished product, as explained earlier I've seen clearer and less blocky PS2 graphics than this. The game seemingly looks better in first person mode when riding the bikes but then takes a slight knock on performance. The game performance overall runs good but this appears down to the compromise of graphics which are still being rendered whilst you play, I do not think this is good enough quality for 2023 and I would have been very unhappy to play full price to see this, luckily, it does go on sale for very cheap these days and therefore I would recommend picking up and playing at a budget price if you are a fan of bike racing.

Great overall game and premise which captures the unique character and charm of the original series. I must admit even as somebody who had completed both of the first games, this game did at first appear to be quite difficult to grasp in terms of gameplay mechanics and direction, however, after a bit of getting used to the controls and general gameplay elements it does all appear to run smoothly and come together nicely. Fear effect is a series known for high difficulty scenarios which leave you at times with minimal time to figure out what to do before meeting the game-over screen with a unique and at times shocking but creative death scene to follow you. Fortunately, you can jump straight back in where you left off and keep attempting to get past those tricky but not impossible puzzles. Some of the puzzles require good observational skills by scanning the environments almost piece by piece until figuring out a solution, which is very similar to the original game series. I can understand how to some this could be very frustrating, but I believe this games biggest flaw is perhaps being a victim of it's own gameplay difficulty, especially for newcomers of this series. Whereas the originals had more of the eye candy to give people the wow factor to try and push on, I feel that this game whilst unique in style and design does not have that same visual awe to keep people invested to explore the rest of the game, and sadly this is where I feel this game probably loses out in terms of draw factor to get those new players discovering this series and trying it out for themselves. I love the game art and design and whilst minimalist it is very uniquely crafted and works well especially when controlling multiple characters and exploring the levels for puzzles. Overall it is a 9/10 but you need to go into this game expecting the gameplay style and old school difficulty.

This game is truly disappointing and in my opinion is only worth a quarter of the asking price. The design of the world is something expected back in the era of PS1 albeit with higher res graphics. The character design is straight from any generic JRPG which makes them unlikable and forgettable, not only this, they are in a position to make moral decisions therefore it is very difficult to take them and the souls premise seriously since they are designed in such a basic way it really is difficult to grasp the responsibility and power they possess. The world itself is so basic, again, we are in 2023, the world design and creativity was much better in Final fantasy 3 a game made by square enix 30 years ago. This is a game which looks like it was made in a JRPG maker game, from the very moment you turn it on the initial gameplay is underwhelming and does not give you any inspiration to carry on to discover more to the game, the story also starts weak, giving you no real feeling of excitement or need to undertake a new adventure. I feel this game may appeal to the absolute first timers of JRPGS possibly very young pre teen gamers but for anybody who has ever played this type of game before it is massively underwhelming and not worth the time nor effort to invest into it.

Shoddy handling, poor sense of speed and the feeling of being on a motorcycle(speaking as somebody who rides motorcycles) the turns feel stilted and unrealistic, the graphics as another reviewer mentioned are below what you would expect on a machine of this power, the menus are plain and are not inviting to the player, rather they look generic and without any character, the racing is blurry and lacking in fine detail with major image rendering happening as you progress on the track. To summarise the whole game is lacking any character or sense of fun, perhaps die hard racing enthusiasts might find this OK but for anybody else I would stay away from this title.

I would say this game is a good resource for education and understanding of the underwater world. Where this game lacks is unfortunately in excitement and once the initial game mechanics and wow factor of the underwater experience wears off it does become very repetitive and at times too slow paced to hold attention for long. The game does shine in the slow paced tranquility of exploration and creates very nice environmental effects, sounds and visuals to immerse people into the underwater experience. Overall, I would say that whilst they have created an interesting concept, lasting appeal is likely for enthusiasts of the subject or for younger players who just want too swim around and see nice fish and marine creatures. I am also a fond swimmer and interested in marine animals, but I think what this experience does is just make you want to do the real thing rather than play it, and anybody with opportunity to do is likely not sitting playing a game about it.

The game is simply fun and a concept in which the Wii never really fully captured in any other game in as much detail during the consoles lifetime. The game is a fully featured action game with a Japanese and US focused adult storyline. The voice acting is very good, the scenes and dialogue make for an engaging game session and you are playing with a feeling of retribution which gives the game even more of an atmospheric feel especially in first person perspective. The graphics while not great are definitely decent and detailed, the environment is interactive and realistic in design. Every now and again the controls hang up, but this only happens frequently and does not generally disturb the flow of game. Also, it helps to best hold the controls on your preferable hand, so it takes some experimenting at first to find your most comfortable control setup. I played this game on Wii u which means perhaps some of the older performance and graphics issues are not as obvious on faster hardware, but I would still recommend picking it up for cheap these days as it is a very solid game.

I can imagine at the time of release and also given the graphic quality of other Motogp titles on rival consoles this game might not have been the best representation for the console. Playing this game in modern day I can say that the game actually holds up surprisingly well, levels are detailed, bikes perform as would be expected in simulation mode, gameplay is fast and AI surprisingly decent who also crash and make mistakes frequently during race. The one downside to this game is the graphics, whilst they are not terrible there is definitely a low Res feel to them and this was during the age of HD graphics, so I can see why people would have been annoyed by what appears to be a lack of effort in visuals. I can imagine if this game was released on HD Wii capable console it would have had a far greater score. The most common complaint I can see is about the controls, but in fact they work perfectly well, the steering is realistic, this is not a car racing game, you cannot hold the break around the corner to drift, the turning feels accurate and realistic. The other downside is multiplayer Carrer which appears to be lacking in some gameplay option features such as ability to see map and change weather, although in single race mode these features are still available. Overall the game is an 8 given the capability of Wii and the enjoyment from the gameplay.
