It's okay.
Guns finally feel good to use.
The game runs on most gaming PCs released in the last decade.
It has decent modding potential but not as much as Elder Scrolls.
However, exploration gets repetitive because everything looks the same everywhere... there is not a lot of variety in the environment.
The game kinda forces you to use a power armor because you die in like 3 bullets without one.
So, you spend a lot of time looking for power cores... which gets old pretty fast.
The companions system is a step-up from Skyrim, I hope they improve it further with TES6.
The story was also a bit better than Skyrim's, the plot twist caught me off-guard.
Overall, I'd recommend it if you can get it on sale.

Insane art direction, incredible sound design and phenomenal atmosphere. However, I hate how bosses and most enemies have crazy combos that never end and never give you a second to hit back. Also, I don't think a simple encounter in the wilds should feel as difficult as an endgame boss from earlier Souls games. I don't like the open-world structure. Most of your time is spent riding your horse and wasting time trying to find something to do that doesn't involve just killing everything you see. Quests are impossible to follow or complete without using the wiki. If you don't, you will either completely miss the next objective or randomly stumble on the NPC like 50 hours later and now they're dead. Another thing. In previous Souls games, items and gear were found naturally through exploring all nooks and crannies. There doesn't seem to be as much stuff in the environment to find this time around, I'm never rewarded for going out of my way to explore, unless you count rewards from completing dungeons... which, most of the time, end up useless to you because of stats requirements. This creates a frustrating gameplay loop where you work your butt off to clear a difficult boss only to get a reward you won't even use. This happens over and over again unless you use a wiki to plan out your build and route but that defeats the whole point of exploration. Finally, I think the game takes too long to beat. I prefer the previous Souls games that are more focused and intentional. Elden Ring feels bloated.

Starts off strong then goes downhill from there. Over time, you realize villagers all say the same lines according to which personality type they fall into. Of which there are only 4, I believe. At first, the game gives you objectives but once they are done, credits roll in and you're left to rot on your island. I guess the point was to keep decorating my island forever and ever but who does that? I personally know one person who did and she's autistic. Make of that what you will... there is just nothing to work towards for, the one and only goal is just to keep decorating forever. That's literally all there is to it. This game starts off so strong then goes in nothing-land so fast. All the previous Animal Crossing games were better, especially New Leaf.

it's BattleField but you play against bots that see you from a thousand miles away and kill you with 2 bullets. It looks like crap and I still only get 90fps on my rig despite getting a rock-solid 165fps on BF4. It's fun if you enjoy crawling around trying to get kills and respawning every 2 seconds, I guess.

I've been playing on and off for almost a decade and one thing I noticed over the years is I never feel like I'm making any meaningful progress. It doesn't matter how many Corpus, Infected or Grineer I slay. It all feels meaningless. The massive lack of guidance and sandbox nature of the game both make me question everything I do, I'm never sure if what I'm going is being efficient or a waste of time. I'd give it a 5/10 but the gameplay is top-notch, which is the only thing that keeps me coming back.

I have a few problems with it. I hated that it insults my intelligence every time it thinks I'm too stupid to figure out where to go or what's happening. It also tried to make me care about a bunch of army people in the worst way possible. Last but not least, they hyped the HELL out of Vi-o-la in Volt Forge only to use it only as a green crystal buster in the most mind-numbingly boring area ever seen in a video game.. otherwise, it was okay. It looked great, sounded nice and played nice. Most of the story will be lost on most people, unless they pay close attention to scans and the environment.

I am speechless. Such elegant mastery of the game development craft. We don't come across this level of excellence often and for this reason I'm awarding my first and only 10 to this masterpiece. For all intents and purposes, Cory was indeed in the House.

Garbage combat ruins what the game has to offer. It tried to have Dark Souls combat but nothing works. It's clunky, laggy, repetitive and unresponsive. A shame because the world was interesting to explore. I will never understand why developers bother to release games that don't even get the basics right. How do they expect people to grind in a game where the combat is so janky?

Digimon World 44

Where to start... first off, the graphics are bad. Like, BAD. Very low amount of detail in the environment ; it's all bland, generic and repetitive. Poor and boring color palette. The level design is also very boring and consists solely of corridors where Digimon spawn. And boy, do they spawn. You'll fight hordes of the same enemies over and over again. The combat is repetitive and mind-numbingly dumb. All you do is press A. Again, again, again, again, again and again. Through a confusing and poorly designed user interface, it's possible to switch weapons, although what you can switch to is limited by what you have registered to your Digimon, which has to be manually changed in the starting area... yep, you can't equip a weapon found until you leave the mission area. Which does not make a big difference anyway since all weapons only have one attack animation. There's no combo or anything to make combat interesting so all weapons virtually feel the same. One swing, rinse and repeat... You can block, sure, but enemy attacks are so fast they feel like they come out of nowhere, so you just don't bother blocking because you'd need stupid high reflexes no one has. Also, there's always a minimum of 3 enemy Digimon pounding away at you, so good luck blocking anything. To add even more frustration, you can't hold up your shield. The Digimon lowers his stance half a second later... there's also a spinning move that has virtually no reach whatsoever so you usually just end up getting whacked mid-animation, you can also charge up an attack to send your 'mon flying through packs of enemies, but... again, you usually just get hit and canceled out of it by whatever horde you're dealing with. Which, in the end, leaves you no other choice than pressing A over and over again and just hoping you don't get hit too much. It's incredibly boring and repetitive. Enemy bosses also have incredibly low AI and can all be easily cheesed and rendered harmless using ranged weaponry. Not like you have a choice, though. Going melee just means you'll be spammed by instant attacks that cause massive, completely unbalanced damage. If this is your idea of "fun" then be my guess... The story is also non-existent, generic and boring. You're a "Digital Guard" sent to save the world!... or something like that. There's a vague story about a virus infecting the digital world (totally didn't see that coming!....) but it's poorly used and poorly implemented. Story elements are just button prompts that lead to more mindless slaughtering inside mindless corridors through mindless combat. Music is also barely existent and pretty much forgettable. No melodies to speak of, boring and generic "epic" sound through the first level, coupled with what I consider elevator music later on... The game world is also confusing and hard to navigate, even with a map... like, they'll tell you "Save that Digimon!" but you never really know where you're supposed to go so you end up walking in circles and backtracking a lot... did I mention the user interface is horribly, horribly designed? Meh... all in all, a very boring and repetitive game. I'd say its sole redeeming factor is the ability to play co-op with up to 4 players.
