The game is improved and expanded compared to the original, a lot of the charm is there but a lot has been lost with the focus on faster, less punishing gameplay. Graphical fidelity is top notch rivaling Forbidden West, a ton of new content has been added and story progression streamlined. The reason for the low score: 1. Story has been improved but has too much handholding 2. The store with ridiculous skins(optional but an eyesore) 3. Online only requirement 4. No barehanded or hidden blade combat 5. Enemy ai not actually improved as claimed Do I recommend it? Yes BUT definitely play the original first as that gameplay wise is still the superior version and doesn’t have immersion breaking skins

An absolute banger, enjoyed every second of it. It is a far stretch to call it "rpg" but it is well made, a lively world, likable npcs and few fetch quests. I would definitely recommend you play the original before the remaster!

The game is great and I will recommend it to anyone who will listen, you can do most things you can think off, go to jail, get humiliated, debate npcs, heal other players, complete player bounties etc etc. a very good selection of different weapons and martial arts to use that’ll make the game feel fresh. However, not everything is perfect. The monetization model for their pulling system is extremely flawed and favor paying above grinding (like mobile games)the basic banner is easily earned, the premium banner is next to impossible to earn in game and you will be unlikely to ever get near the 150 by simply playing for a guaranteed outfit. The store outfits I find fairly priced with outfits ranging for $1 to $40 so there is something for everyone. The game definitely need some quality of life improvements which they have said they are working on, if any of my complaints are fixed I will update the review to reflect the changes

An extremely well written with satisfying combat, I haven’t finished yet but i am 12 hours in and i can already say it is my game of the year so far. I don’t usually like turn-based combat, the likeable characters, satisfying combat mechanics, amazing story and the enemy variety is extremely impressive. An easy recommendation!

A very impressive sequel, keeping what everyone like about the first one and improving on it. Some gameplay mechanics have ofc been pretty heavily nerfed, dodging and coils have been hit heavily but the ability to upgrade weapons and armor definitely picks up the slag!

Definitely a great game for Samurai fans! Challenging but responsive gameplay, amazing quality and an amazing story

Definitely not a needed remaster but I am glad we got it! It is not perfect yet has some glitches here and there and a few crashes when teleporting but the game is very optimized and polished!
