Indiana Jones and the Great Circle6
Dec 27, 2024
The Indiana Jones game on Xbox, advertised as a grand adventure faithful to the iconic archaeologist, ultimately falls short in many ways. If you were expecting to embody a daring hero in epic adventures, prepare yourself for a monotonous and repetitive **** positives (because we have to give some credit)The visual atmosphere: The environments, while not groundbreaking, are decent. Mysterious temples, deserts, and libraries are detailed enough to feel immersive—but nothing **** whip: Using the whip to swing across gaps or disarm enemies is fun… for the first few minutes. After that, it just feels like an overused **** issues (and there are plenty)Highly repetitive gameplay: Honestly, after a couple of hours, it feels like you’re doing the same thing over and over again. Explore, solve simple puzzles, fight waves of enemies… rinse and repeat. No real surprises, no standout moments.A soulless Indiana Jones: The character lacks charisma. Where the films give us a clever, lovable hero, here we get a generic, poorly written, and downright boring protagonist.Predictable and dull storyline: Another artifact hunt against the ****. This could have worked if the story had some originality or tension, but it doesn’t. Everything feels safe and uninspired.A game that quickly becomes boring: To be honest, I got bored. Between the repetitive mechanics and the lack of genuinely exciting moments, the game struggles to hold your attention. You end up progressing on autopilot, with no real **** summary:The Indiana Jones game on Xbox is the perfect example of a title that could have been fantastic but instead falls into mediocrity due to a lack of originality and variety. Hardcore fans of the character might find some nostalgic charm, but for everyone else, this is a game that gets old fast. Unless you love repetition and have a lot of patience, save your time and money for something else.

ANNO: Mutationem9
Dec 11, 2024
a Cyberpunk Gem I Didn't See ComingLet me cut to the chase: ANNO: Mutationem completely blew me away. From the very first minutes, the visual style had me hooked. This blend of detailed pixel art and 3D environments is simply incredible. You can feel that every backdrop, every animation was crafted with care and love. The cyberpunk world they’ve created is dark, vibrant, and full of life. What I loved most is how varied the gameplay is. You explore, chat with NPCs that are super well-written, and suddenly, you’re thrown into fast-paced, fluid combat. The combos are so satisfying, and every fight makes you feel progressively more **** it’s not just about gameplay or visuals. Ann Flores’ story really hit home for me. She’s more than just a badass protagonist. Her motivations, her relationships—they’re all written in a way that makes you feel truly connected. It made me want to explore every corner of this world to learn **** we have to talk about the music! Honestly, the soundtrack is a masterpiece. It transported me and fully immersed me in the game’s vibe. Every track perfectly fits the mood, whether it’s an action-packed scene or a quieter, introspective moment.Honestly, ANNO: Mutationem is a one-of-a-kind experience. If you love games with a strong identity, killer combat, and a story that pulls you in, you absolutely have to play this. I can’t recommend it enough!

The Smurfs: Dreams8
Nov 19, 2024
Faithful and vibrant universe: The visuals are detailed and immersive, capturing the Smurfs’ playful aesthetic. Levels, inspired by character dreams, are imaginative and varied, such as puzzles involving mirrors or transforming Smurfs into Tetris-like shapes.Accessible and enjoyable gameplay: Mechanics like the hammer, sticky gun, and magic lamp are easy to grasp, making the game perfect for children and families. Local co-op play adds to the fun.Decent playtime: The main adventure takes around 8 hours to complete, with collectibles and mini-games extending the experience.Technical stability: On PlayStation 5, the game runs smoothly without significant bugs, a notable highlight from reviewers.Weaknesses Some levels lack variety in structure and challenges, which may lead to monotony.Inconsistent difficulty: While most levels are simple, some sections (especially boss fights) require more precision or problem-solving, potentially frustrating younger players.Pacing issues: Inter-level transitions and the lack of mid-dream save points can hinder the overall flow.Limited musical variety: Although pleasant, the soundtrack could benefit from greater diversity to enhance immersion.Verdict:The Smurfs: Dreamland Adventure is a charming, accessible platformer that will primarily appeal to kids and nostalgic fans. While it doesn't rival genre giants like Astro Bot or Super Mario 3D World, it stands out as a delightful adaptation for Smurf enthusiasts. Its approachable gameplay and reasonable price make it a great choice for relaxed, lighthearted gaming, despite some lack of depth for seasoned players.

High on Life9

Ideal to dive into his universe. When completely erased, the tutorial will show you the color. The character is a drug addict, and his conversations with Rick and Morty-esque sci-fi are bold and silly. The gameplay is great, graphically very pleasant and what happiness in the game pass.

Evoland: Legendary Edition9
Nov 21, 2022
Traveling through eras, graphic styles and video game genres has never fulfilled me so much. First of all, the lifespan has almost been increased tenfold compared to the first Evoland, since it takes about 25 hours to reach its end with the side quests, while 3-4 hours were enough to see the end of the first one. Indeed, after making Evoland first of the name, which did not have a well developed scenario but which was content to create a plot full of nods to RPGs and other anthology games, I did not expect to have a stunning scenario, but just to find an experience similar to the first game. But where Evoland 2 is stunning is that in addition to being better in all the points that were the strength of the first opus - namely the diversity of video game genres present which constantly renew the gameplay, the easter eggs to everything goes that will speak to and please video game veterans, the successful artistic touch for each era as well as the magnificent OST that will almost bring you a few tears - this time it is equipped with a scenario which, although it does not Looks like nothing at first, turns out to be much more advanced and complex than it seems from the second part of the adventure. Scenario bordering on perfection, as it is well done throughout, leaving us with a few clues here and there, which we do not notice (or cannot understand) at the time, but which take on their full meaning once reunited and arrived at the end of the journey. Because yes, understanding this real script puzzle - at least in its subtleties - is by far the greatest and most beautiful challenge of this game, and it allows us to somehow close the loop. A perfect game in short, which I can only recommend to all players!

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy10

What a pleasure to play in a lively environment, a perfectly mastered narration and really endearing characters, it's teeming with details, the humor is present without being heavy. The French dubs are excellent and a super quality soundtrack, too bad for headphone audio, the sound is a bit weak and the 3d sound is a bit average, even trying to fine-tune the audio settings. The gameplay is simple but effective, graphics level, I love the artistic direction, it's very fluid on ps5, very few bugs. The dialogues between the characters reveal a lot of very interesting information about this universe and for the older ones, a lot of nods to the 80s and 90s. The very correct lifespan (finished in ~23h without rushing me, searching everywhere), the chapters follow one another well, we don't see the time passing. Difficulty level, the normal mode is really too simple, the difficult mode is recommended to put a little challenge. Not at all disappointed, it's a good big surprise for a game I wasn't expecting, it's really fun.
