Krakadon

This movie is a masterpiece. From the first frame, you can tell it is a work of art, masterful cinema. The setting is awesome. The characters are very good. Godzilla is mean and terrifying. It is so good, I'll just get to what I didn't like from least to most. 1) No giant footsteps over the TOHO logo is always a miss for me. 2) In a couple of spots the CGI doesn't look great. 3) Godzilla's movement on land is ridiculously stiff. 4) I don't know what I think about Godzilla's super speed recovery ability. He's always just been mega-tough and would go to the ocean to recover from time to time. 5) It feels like it's missing a reel. Godzilla's attack on Ginza seemed like it was supposed to be the warm-up. Where is the attack on Tokyo? Where is the nighttime shot of Godzilla standing over the skyline surrounded by flames for miles a la the original and Shin Godzilla? Well, the movie leaves a clear path for a sequel and boy do I hope they make one. Godzilla of this quality is a dream come true.

I don't know what all these people are talking about. This is a great movie. One of the best in the DCU. It's funny, it has heart, there's good action. Just a solid performance all the way around. Cast is great also.

This movie is terrible and doesn't work on any level. And I'm no racist homophobe like a lot these people are (not appropriate for kids, but heterosexuals can make out all over the place in every other movie without similar criticism), so yeah, inclusion great. I found the living planet, bonding with dad, accepting your son, and get along with your environment tropes unbearable. And sorry guys, there are monsters and villains and killing them is fun and exciting. The story kind of ****, the plot is convoluted and over the head of any younger children and it is so sappy. Even the score is lame. There is no question Don Hall and Henry Jackman are geniuses but this film is a huge miss for both of them.
