Crafting and base building are very solid. Next, combat needs to be significantly improved, and much needs to be done to curb rampant cheating. After that, servers need to be able to handle more zombies spawned at any time -- the limit (due to performance issues) is absolutely crippling for the multiplayer experience. If you play on a server with more than 2 or 3 people, the zombie threat is trivialized and the entire game becomes hollow.

The story is gratingly awful in every way. They try to sell it as satire, but it's just pure garbage. I'd get more enjoyment out of reading bad DBZ fan fiction written by kids. The combat is decent, if a bit shallow and repetitive. The game forces you to grind through the horrific pile of garbage story line to get to a better variety of weapons. If this game offered an unrestricted sandbox mode that didn't make you sit through the offensively bad 'story' I'd give it an 8.

The gameplay is fun, the visuals, sounds and matches are enjoyable, tavern brawl brings much needed variation and enjoyment, however, the costly aspect of the game's extremely unforgiving free vs pay model can't be overlooked. You must pay, or you will suffer at the hands of players who did. I caved and spent over $200 on top of playing for over 500 hours, and I'm still behind the curve. Be warned! The devs' philosophy on game balance is one of the most atrocious models I've ever seen in the history of gaming: "we won't balance anything, we'll just sell you more new cards." The lead dev, Ben Brode, stated they don't want to fix broken under or overpowered cards, but instead, just introduce new ones, obviously, to keep feeding the cash machine. This is a solid, great game, mired horribly by it's pay model.

I really appreciate the time they took to make the PC version of this game robust. If not for that, I'd have hit this game with a lower rating. They did a great job making it run well. That said: If you've played GTAIV, there's virtually no reason to buy this game. It's pretty much the same schtick, with the main difference between different characters which are completely unlikeable unlike previous ones, and a new storyline, which is 50 shades of grey fan fiction terrible. The multiplayer is plagued with problems, a confused system of punishments for playing the game the way it's meant to be played, and not punishing users that harass each other, a gross lack of anti-cheat measures as bad as the DayZ mod, and a horrific grind to unlock anything in an effort to encourage you to spend even more money on in-game cash. However, cruising around the city, blowing up AI pedestrians with rocket launchers and causing general mayhem is as polished as ever. A good game to just fool around in.

I would give this game a 10/10 for the great levels of content, extremely fun gameplay, great music, great graphics and mod support, however, there are a few valid complaints : repetition of voice actors, voice acting being a bit bad at times, animations looking clunky and awkward, and a few bugs that can cause things to not work, particularly, if you have a monitor that does more than 60 hz, you need to limit it to 60hz or the physics go nuts in the game and many things break. Aside from those minor complaints, well done.

The gameplay is fun, interesting - I like the plans and ideas they have. The music is amazing, the visuals look great. The game is lacking content. If you want to dress your character up, decorate your house or build a neat looking house there's LOADS of content, but exploring lacks enough variables to keep it interesting, and there is little in terms of crafting equipment at this current time. I enjoyed the game, but it definitely needs some more meat to be added to it.

This game has a lot of good to it, but also a lot of frustratingly bad design. The system for creating items is very cool, new & interesting, the story is fairly compelling and I overall LIKE the game. I want to rate it higher, but truly, I can't. There's quite a few glaring issues that really should have been addressed before it was released. In terms of quality of the FUNCTION of the game, I'd give it a 4. As far the quality of the CONTENT I would give it about a 7, impeded by some of the clunky animations, cheesier bits of the store and that really cheesy, terrible driving scene & everything that has to do with driving in this game also quite frustrating are the heat-seeking monsters that jump on the roof of the car and adjust for your direction in mid-air no matter how much you swerve... With a bit more time spent on making this game a quality game, it could have done very well I think. A class case of a rushed project.

The controls were decently smooth, it had a bit of a rough time with some bugs/server issues, but it's overall mildly entertaining and interesting for a short time while being surprisingly unimpressive. Ultimately though, if you are new to "Ragnarok" this will just be like a low-budget amalgamation of all the other MMOs that are out, making a lot of "safe" decisions while showing no attempt to do any of it particularly well. If you've played any other MMO, you've probably seen everything this one has to offer and then some. For RO1 vets, it will be extremely different from the game it is named as a successor to and lacking in the charms that now aged game drew you in with. The musical score is lackluster in comparison. The character customization has been dashed away, with the stylish combat moves and sense of adventure forgotten. Everything is extremely predictable, mathematic and uninteresting. I wanted to like the game, but I found more enjoyment listening to the song composed for the launch screen than I did actually playing it. A sad disappointment.

Brilliant. The way the game scales difficulty and introduced new things to you as you continue to explore the game is wonderful. Hard mode is a bit irritating with your homeland town being constantly harassed by malicious enemies if you don't prepare it thoroughly, and I was a bit disappointed once I finished exploring the whole world and had only boss fights to look forward to rather than more exploration, but overall a really fun game I sunk a good 60 hours into.

This game had the potential to be just under AAA quality. But they don't want to support it well enough to make it a quality experience. ------------ The game had lots of disconnection issues for a couple months, I opened a ticket with their support in February, still get automated replies now 4 months later saying they're 'still receiving an unusually high volume of tickets.' Basically, they don't care. I bought items too. ------------------ I complained to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and Nexon just kept responding to the BBB with 'we do not perform customer service through 3rd party entities like the BBB. Please use our ticket system. Which I tried to do, but never received a response to, lol! -------------------- After logging on once a week for a couple months and still being unable to successfully complete a mission more then 33% of the time without getting disconnected (getting disconnected forces you to start the mission - better known as a boat or dungeon all over again) and this issue was never addressed by the customer support despite hundreds of complaints via tickets, on their forums, and even on their facebook. They just kept dancing along ignoring all their players like nothing ever happened. --------------------- So yeah, be wary. The game itself is actually fun though, if the terrible connection issues/lag were ever resolved, it would be an amazingly fun game that would be more popular. I would refuse to let anyone else 'host' the dungeon (dungeons are client hosted to reduce load/cost on Nexon servers, with just a heartbeat and some mild checks to watch you) because of how awful the lag would be to almost everyone. Either their PC couldn't handle it or their connection couldn't. Also, because the dungeons were client-hosted cheating was rampant and very easy. I never did it myself, but I found loads of tutorials and I was shocked to see how easy it was and caught on to some of my in-game friends botting it up. ---------------------- So yeah, potential to be an A- game, ruined by Nexon being cheap. All the game needs is a set of dedicated servers with good latency and everything major would be immediately fixed. Oh, and customer service that doesn't take in excess of FOUR MONTHS to return your email.

Purely superior in experience to the 2nd portal in every way. Great story, great player engagement, great pace of introducing new ideas. After playing this one, the 2nd one felt redundant and the story felt incredibly forced. They changed their mind on where they were taking this game when they patched the end cutscene to change from you being free to being dragged back inside .. then sealed off the portal world from ever influencing the half-life world, which was very disappointing to say the least. That aside, a very fun game overall which I actually put probably about 20 or 30 hours into doing various advanced puzzles and repeating the game once or twice just because it was fun.

I would REALLY like to give this game a 7.5. It's pretty fun, but falls short on a few expectations - the handling can be just plain silly at times. It's impossible to do drift-mode games on a keyboard, and open-wheel is extremely challenging due to how easily you can spin out with the 100% ON or 100% OFF input of a keyboard. Sure, I know I *SHOULD* be playing this on a racing wheel in the opinion of many. . . But I wish it would at least work on the keyboard. Graphics are fancy, wish there was a better variety of cars & sounds. The game is very buggy on Le Mans with extreme lag despite having a very nice system .. (GTX 480, i7 920 @ 3.6GHZ, 12GB 1600MHZ RAM). I just play the "race day" (arcade mode) for quick action and gave up on the storyline after hitting the challenges presenting by playing with a keyboard.

They should re-launch it in stores again and advertise it. I think it would still do pretty darn well. And get it on steam or something like that for auto-updates & better multiplayer integration.

No bugs that I've dealt with, they constantly update it. It's very fun. This brings me back to when a game was purely about playing and enjoying it. The game is also very dark and sinister, something I was left wanting out of L4D/L4D2. Now, if someone would just make a massive city-scale zombie survival game with the darkness of this game, production value/quality of polish **** like L4D2 .. I'd be occupied for months. Why hasn't anyone made that game yet? I digress. This game has kept me entertained for about a hundred more hours than most games have. It's kind of ridiculous. It gets very intense and adrenaline pumping when you're trying to hold massive, powerful enemies or small hordes, or large hordes of massive, powerful enemies at bay. It really manages to get you excited and into the action, which I can't say about a lot of video games these days. The only reason it's not a 10 is it doesn't have million-dollar mocap & I wanted a bit more depth than what it offers.

This game brings tears of joy to my eyes. The visuals. The music. The story, though a bit short and narrow, is very good. I want more. S The controls are somewhat difficult to master, but once you play the game for a little while you'll be bouncing all over everything like a real Parkour expert. I didn't expect it to be easy to master .. Anyone who complains about difficulty is a little to used to having everything handed to them for mashing buttons. The only controls I can complain about are the reverse direction wall hike ledge grabs and the vertical pipe to vertical pipe leaps. This is one of my favorite games and always will be. adly, the evil that is EA will never allow a sequel, as they don't want to release games that won't sell less than 5 million copies.

After playing the original, this felt kind of redundant. They didn't really introduce much new stuff - the 1st Portal was throwing new ideas on solving puzzles at you all the time, but I think they ran out. I guess you can only do so much with portals. The gel was kind of a neat idea and did serve for some slightly creative thinking - but the experience felt a little too tightened, and never did I find myself stumped or challenged on any of the puzzles. Most of them were at most .. tedious. Pretty cool game overall. I enjoyed the commentary from Cave Johnson, the mix of humor and the new music was VERY nice. It was fun solving puzzles with my friend, and especially fun throwing him into pits, crushing him, and killing him in every other imaginable manner possible. The player drop off on this game is saying something. I hadn't played in a month until today. EA sent out a questionnaire asking people why they quit playing. Their questions didn't have the option for 1. The game wasn't what I expected 2. Lack of communication with the player community and patches to fix bugs 3. Bad netcode. Instead, they had 1. The game is too easy 2. The game is too hard 3. I want more DLC Based on the upcoming patch, I think most people selected #2. Watering the game down more. I expected so much out of this game, but it ended up being a conglomeration of BF2, BC2, COD and MOH that didn't "NAIL IT" on anything except a great running graphics engine and the greatest number of promises not delivered in any game I have ever bought. As for netcode, most modern games use a hybrid server/client hit detection model that works quite well. There are even free to play games that have better net code than BF3, which is just appalling. Previous BF games were bad because they were server side only - with clients only having the option to increase or lower interpolation. With pure client-side netcode, you get seemingly random deaths, opponents that die extremely slowly, and all kinds of other annoying frustrations. I've waited for months for those patches to come, but I've realized some of them never will. They'll never update the net code to a better model. They'll never increase the destruction to make certain maps like Bazaar and Metro more fun and less explosive spammy. They'll never add in-game voice (another thing common in many F2P games from small companies) And they'll never address another greater issue with the heart of the game - the vehicles are lackluster in implementation and integration into the balance of the game. They'll feel like an afterthought that was just thrown in haphazardly. They made an infantry fighting game out of a large-scale war game. And even that is poor because of the bad netcode. Sure, some bug fixes have come along.. They fixed the bugs that were in the beta that they said were already fixed for the game launch. Like the laggy servers, falling through the world on metro, gadgets flat out not working... But it's really just been one huge let down. I can't say I'll be buying BF4 or BC3 or anything. I've learned my lesson that PR likes to make false promises and do anything to drum up hype. They flat out lie sometimes. I just don't know what to expect when I buy a game from EA. There's no assurance of quality. They don't realize that many are already boycotting them. I wouldn't say I'm boycotting them, it's more like someone who has burned their hand on a hot stove being cautious about touching it again.

This game was very enjoyable in all facets - story, amazing music, game play, leveling, everything is interesting and fun. They did a great job with the game and the only thing keeping me from giving it a 10 is that parts of it felt a little rushed, it was mildly buggy at times, and it was abused with some rather stupid DLC .. weapons/armor packs anyone? That's EA at work, though, not Bioware. God, I hate EA so much. A fun adventure/build/survival game. I played since fairly early Alpha stages before the game even had health, and on until mid beta stages. The openness - the level of customization in your creations only limited by the square shape of the game's blocks gives you an intriguing way to approach a landscape you can completely remove and mold to your liking. Want to build a town? Turn the world into a crater? A gauntlet of monsters? Farm chickens? Explore caves? All open options. I dumped many hours into this game. The only thing that keeps me from playing it now is the lack of stability in terms of servers being wiped, or updates requiring server wipes, corruption, etc. I wish I could still have all of my original creations and to have just continued to build on top of them. It's really disheartening losing out on old creations, but playing on the same server without ever needing a wipe/rebuild, the server going defunct because the person no longer wants to host it, massive game changes making it a near requirement to restart your server to be able to take advantage of the new content, and not being griefed in some capacity is pretty unlikely. It's a fun game, regardless. I just can't find myself playing it any more because I need 2 things - the ability to play with friends, and the ability to not have my creations thrown to the wind. But it seems you have to pick one or the other. If Notch can find a solution to this, I'll stick around. Perhaps a powerful map cut-and-paste type utility for you to transfer things from one server to another? A small file that can simply be opened and loaded into another server's map file, for example. That would be wonderful.

Better programmed than blockbuser 100 million dollar titles, better looking, more fun, more interesting, more new. This is one of those games that will live on in my memories fondly. I'm a huge fan of other games like ME1, ME2 and many other RPGs that really blew me out of the water much like this one. I was extremely disappointed to see this wasn't even on the LIST of GOTY from BAFTA for 2011.
