Tripwire Interactives Killing Floor is what you would expect of a polished mod, but doesn't exceed expectations as a retail game. It's good, but unfortunately far from perfect. A nice addition to the survival-horror genre though, and it has an attractively cheap price tag.

While the single-player experience is pretty much non-existent and there are still a large number of bugs that have to be contended with, there's enough of a foundation here for players to enjoy. Hop online and kill monsters for Queen and Country.

If you can't get enough of killing Zombies and co-operative play, Killing Floor may be a cheaper alternative to Left 4 Dead. It doesn't come close though and it's obvious that Killing Floor once was a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004.

This one is a real time capsule. It's flawed and doesn't exactly compare well in its modern environment, but it holds up. While it's hilariously stupid/bad sometimes, it's simple and gets the simple things right most of the time. It's free from the obnoxious bloat of its sequel.

Oyun eski arkadaşlar. Benim gibi ilk defa oynayacak olanlar hiç girişmesinler. Hikaye modu yok. İlginç bir şekilde vuruş hissini beğendim.

If you've enjoyed zombie games of the past and want to see a different take on what cooperative zombie horror games should be like, then I think you will enjoy Killing Floor too.

Despite the rough edges, Killing Floor can be considered a resounding success.

For those of you looking to train hard for the zombie apocalypse long predicted by Max Brooks, and not have to deal with any silly cinematic conventions doing so, Killing Floor might very well be the sort of thing you need to sharpen your training regimen.

Once a mod now a game on its own, Killing Floor confronts the player with hordes of undead minions threatening his character’s life. While being independent enough of zombie-shooter-king Left 4 Dead with features like sealing doors, character perks and weapon stores, the game itself offers little variety and a flawed AI.

Even talented designers couldn’t have saved Killing Floor. The game is so low-budget that it evokes pity instead of nostalgia. The visuals aren’t bad for an Unreal Engine 2 game, but they are a far cry from modern shooters. Threepenny lighting and jerky animation are the worst horrors you’ll see here.

When it comes to co-op zombie shooters this is somewhere in the middle. The 2nd one is better tho.

Hello there! It's me, Jayden Pickens! I'm back. Again, I forgot my e-mail, so here it is, my final, third metacritic account. I wish metacritic would update their website, so stuff like this wouldn't happen, but nope. My whole life is basically a meme... I'm a f**** living meme. I also had almost my house burned down today. Cool, huh? Still, I'm writing this review of Killing Floor. Got this game for free, really like it. It's a cool game, but you won't need it nowadays. Just buy Killing Floor 2. It's exactly the same, but way better. Still, Pickens approves!

I'm surprised by all the good reviews since this game is pretty bare bones and not up to par with other games of the same genre. There is only one game mode and single player is absolutely out of the question (unless you play on easy mode) since you'll get swarmed and killed quickly. The game can be fun at times but the repetitiveness bogs the game down a lot. At first when I visited the in game weapon shop I thought there were a lot of choices but once I started using more guns, I realized I didn't like some of them and that I'd often stick to one or two certain guns depending on my class. I also thought at some point even more weapons would be available in the shop but I couldn't have been more wrong and it all just resorts in using the same guns all the time, playing the same mode, killing the same zombies, over and over again. There are also classes but this doesn't really help the game much and there aren't really any worthwhile perks to them except for spawning with armor or maybe a gun but other than that, leveling up perks just increases the amount of damage you do overall. So the lack of game modes (I'll remind you there is only one), repetition and lack of any real depth is what kills an otherwise somewhat enjoyable game.

Ok, I am rating this game for the overall of the 3 years I had this game. I was not into the game at first, when i purchased it seemed to be missing something that other games have and that was a story line, but it did gain my attention when I decide that I should give it try. Once i started playing the game online and tried to level up my perks to top level it seemed like the game had some potential. I also liked the holiday events that tripwire had updated to for each up coming holiday. But now it seems like with the new achievements that are added there is a bit of a monopoly going on. What i mean is you have to buy weapon pack or even another games in order to get these achievements. That flat out ruined my rating on this game for the out come of what i spent on the game for newer skins and now I am not able to get achievements until I purchase "Dwarfs!?" not the free version but the retail one at $9.99. What a lame way of getting players to buy a game they can care less about!
SummaryIt’s a co-op survival horror game. Up to 6 players in online co-op mode, or just you, on your own, playing the Solo mode. The aim - cleanse each area of zombies, in waves, until you get to the last one. The Big One. The Patriarch. Then exterminate him, too. Actually, they aren’t "zombies". They are the left-over "specimens" from a cheap ... Read More
