I love this series except for 1 thing: As a retired ICU RN, the amount of drinking disturbs me greatly. When you look at what alcohol has done to families & individuals, the results are unbelievable. I've cared for the maimed, comatose, brain dead and other catastrophes resulting from drinking and it's horrific. I've also cared for those w/ DTs and they're just as horrible. Booze will eventually kill the mind or body of many of those who imbibe and frequently destroys their families along the way. I strongly feel it's not worth it to take the chance. "Chicago Fire" shows drinking as cool, stylish and fun. I believe it just makes the problem worse because it encourages the audience to imbibe. My great grandfather and grandfather were the town drunks. Thank God the alcohol use in the family ended with them! Please, Mr. Wolf, eliminate or drastically reduce the amount of drinking in this series.
