The true magic of Alien Resurrection is that you almost always feel insecure, no matter the quantity or quality of munitions at your disposal.

Warning though, this one is for those with plenty of patience and FPS experience. Novice players need not apply.

I used to get nightmares after playing this game, when I was a kid. I love the absence of the sountrack - The beeping of the motion tracker coupled with the heartbeat in the background, really sent shivers down my spine. Alien: Resurrection is an underrated, forgotten gem of the PS1 era. If you're a fan os survival-horror FPS and like a challenge, give this one a chance. The only thing I'm not a fan of, are the controls.

A game worth hunting down. With the promise of another Alien themed release for the forthcoming Alien vs Predator film you may find the practice essential.

What's here is still gristly, taut fun, just like most every other Alien game in the past, and for every ten moments of frustration, there's at least as many moments where this game looks and feels just right. Still, that's a horrible ratio.

The scares happen early and often, so we strongly recommend you play this one with the lights turned down and the volume turned up. Just make sure you have a diaper on.

It's such a banal misuse of a popular franchise that its mediocrity really shines through.

Beyond the control issues, Alien Resurrection is gruelingly hard.

Definitely an improvement over Alien Trilogy, but it's still a very difficult game with controls that feel quite clunky by today's standards. I only managed to make it about halfway through before calling it quits. The facehuggers are absolutely awful to deal with and are easily among the most annoying enemies I've ever encountered in a game. What really kept me going, though, was the atmosphere. The game does an excellent job of making you feel constantly tense.

This was one of my first, if not THE first exposure to graphic violence in video games. The game's made quite well and I like it; it's moody, scary and all that good horror game stuff. But after playing it recently, it's easy to see that the controls are quite dated. For that reason, I can't recommend playing it today.

It’s okay. It is better than the movie I’ll tell you that much. Check out my review on the movie.
