Masterpiece! My biggest critique would be the gameplay gets a bit boring with the vehicles. The best parts of MGS series and DS1 was the levels that were like puzzles with multiple viable routes to take. in DS2 its open world and driving around in a truck ignoring most challenges becomes a bit dull. That being said, its an amazing game, 10/10 story, 20/10 graphics, 10/10 audio.

Way too much recaping and ending with what felt like filler/setup episodes of the new season. Either 1. Make a great side story with movies or 2. plan out out so it fits a movie like the mugen train movie did.

Review from a non-Nintendo fan. TOTK builds on a great foundation but does not get rid of some issues and does not add much substantial except the obvious building mechanic. Animation/Cutscene: The amount of times I mash buttons to skip animations, cutscenes etc. is ridiculous. If the aim is to make you wear out your controller they have succeeded. Can we please have cutscenes for first few times when opening a chest and after that a much much quicker one unless its a cool item inside? And it's not just chests, its cooking, upgrading clothing etc. Whenever you have to cook 10x of something or upgrade 10x, it's just a button mashing fest. QOL: Very few QOL that we have had since forever in other games. Why can't we sell several items at once? Why can't we move around the shields weapons etc. in the order we want? So much that just feels incredibly dated. World Issue: The vast majority of your gametime will not be spent in the new areas, it will be in the same lands as BOTW. The new areas are cool at first but very shallow if we examine them closely. The quests are new but most people in this world don't even know who you are, Zelda is well known but the person that ran around Hyrule for XXX hours killing monsters, helping people, saving the world is apparently a complete stranger. Reward Drip: There is 152 shrines in this game, they are very small puzzles but is a must do since you gain health by them. There is a 1000 seeds in this game, which are necessary for the various inventory slots. These things are called "fun exploration" in Zelda, but in all other open world games, gamers hate these "collect XXXX of this" and "XXXX of that". I'm not sure how Zelda gets away with it, I would much rather have 50 Shrines with three times bigger puzzles and 300 seeds to hunt, with three times the hunting. I get it, "there is an overabundance so all players get a baseline of health/inventory" but that doesn't take away from how simple and boring the shrines often are. Some have more animations/cutscenes than content. "But it's good how some teach you how the game works!" yeah that's great, too bad they are completely optional, that would make sense if the 1 shrine was the same for everyone, and the 10th etc. that would actually make sense because they would get increasingly complex and it would make sure everyone got to learn combat, physics solutions etc. So basically you are given a vast world to explore and every time you stumble upon something the reward is a 1/10000 drip. If you're very very lucky you will stumble upon a unique item but there is never a good clear indication that "hey, what you're doing here is leading towards something cool". It is almost as Nintendo is expecting you to Google/Youtube "best armor" and "best weapons" instead of having clear quests that give you more than 100 rupees and a meal. Which I have been doing because I don't want to spend XXX hours looking around for actual cool items/content like an addict. Weapons: We can fuse stuff with stuff! Cool! But why does some items just glue on the tip of my sword and some transform my sword into something actually cool? Why does a scythe still move like a staff? Or a scimitar still have exact same movement as a Longsword? I could probably go on but it boils down to not enough unique changes and not a game that does not respect your time. It is still a very fun game but it is more a reskin than another GOTY.

This was written after 20 hours on early access. While CODMW2019 remastered an classic and added modern and new features, BF2042 takes several steps back. It is clear to me that the Battlefield DNA that was so clearly in Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 has degraded heavily with time and I think the biggest culprit is Star Wars Battlefront 1-2. Creative tactics are no longer encouraged to win flags/battles. Instead it's just "go in and try to have fun in the chaos" and "oh, because the chaos we designed poorly, we're not going to show you how bad you did in it". What made me buy Battlefield over other shooters is no longer here. What DICE thinks is Battlefield, is something else. We no longer have single-player, which Im fine with. But I am not sure what we get in return? A "dark" backstory with specialists spamming tacky/hacky/cringy one liners? There are countless of features that were in BF4, BF1 and BFV that are not present here. Features that players saw as staples of the Battlefield DNA. The 128 player mode does not add any value, I could see DICE doing 80 players or something, but the game is obviously less stable with 128 and does not add value at all. It's more chaos instead of the "controlled chaos" BF players are used to. Me and my friend could cause serious damage to the enemy team with creative ways in previous Battlefield games, but this time DICE decided we are all just more bricks to their walls. I would not recommend it to anyone as it is now (2021-12), not because of bugs but because of the obvious discrepancy between the players image of Battlefield and DICE, they are very, very, very out of touch with their own playerbase.

WIP REVIEW! As a PC and PS4 gamer it was interesting trying out the switch and play Fire Emblem. I loved FE on the GameCube so I looked forward to the "different" FE game on Switch. First "playthrough" landed on about 10 hours but I decided to restart because I choose Normal+Classic. If you like Strategy games normal is way too easy, I would always suggest classic because (trying not to spoil) there is two ways to undo someone's death in the game. Hard+Classic at a glance changes base stats like hit chances, now I cannot overreach with characters and I have to think hard about which weapon to use based of the hit stat. Something I barely needed to pay attention to on Normal. Graphics: Nintendos decision to make a portable console reflects on the graphics. Much like PS2 era games, the 2d art is gorgeous but the 3d animations are stiff like much of the textures. Prepare for that if you're coming of PC games or even PS4 games. Monastery: You'll spend quite some time outside of combat, here you will do quests, converse with characters and more! While I had my doubts in the beginning the game does an excellent job of slowly giving you the tools and understanding of how it all works. One amazing thing is that they give you the option to fast travel very early, so running around the monastery doesn't take too long. The only thing I really found lacking was explanation of the classes. If you look online there is obvious better choices for some characters then others, and the game does a terrible job to relay this to the player. I feel like the characters should more clearly tell me what they want to become so I can guide them towards that goal. Needing to rely on other people and the online community is not optimal. Been a fan of Kojima for ages, however this game is not like an MGS title. This is a very "artsy" game, if you let go a bit it's a beautiful emotional experience much like Journey. Hell, I would go so far as to say this is very much in line with many of the MGS cutscenes. While many will see the story as convoluted and very metaphorical, how about you try to dig deeper and talk/think about each "idea" he conveys? That's the idea of "art". Art is mostly about reflecting and projecting. If you choose to focus on the negatives, it says more about yourself then the object you criticize.

COD is back! You can turn back around and wait another 10 years for a good one if you love CODMW but dislike the rest. I tried the beta for 10 minutes and turned it off and uninstalled immediately, so you can imagine my delight after getting a 3000 series card, when I saw it's not watch dogs I'll be getting for free, its COD! So I gave the whole campaign a shot, which was a graphical delight. Then moved on to the multiplayer and really tried liking it but nope, I know a lot of people enjoy this kind of COD experience. I'm glad they'll have fun at least. I'll be waiting for CODMW (2030). Constructive Critic? Change the art/design/creative director/bossman, everything from sounds to fonts screams "tacky".

To the artists and programmers at Naughty Dog, congratulations! This is a truly an technical and artistic masterpiece! The gameplay, animations and the sounds were... mmm! However, the story is confusing and I feel like the writer/s focused more on subverting expectations. What made the first game special for me, they showed how a deep connection could come from two complete strangers and it felt real. In this game they throw in so much into the pot it creates a lot of weird plot holes and even after 30 hours I don't have a single character I really like. This game turned into kinda... The Walking Dead: The Game. Regardless of what history tells us about how people in war act usually kind and help each other, all main characters in this game are straight up **** But who knows, maybe you'll surprise me with Part 3 and...subvert my expectations, ba dum tss.

This sequel feels like a growing tooth ache. It tries do to so much and the game systems for health/armor/ammo etc are super confusing. "Oh, I'm low on ammo so I have to kill them this way, low on health this way" and it goes on and on. Some people will probably LOVE that mechanic but I just miss the simple ass kicking of Doom.

Doom does best what old FPS used to, you just go in and kick ass. There are game systems in place to make you feel like the best warrior that's ever existed! If you're torn between this and the sequel Doom Eternal, I highly recommend this one.

While not perfect and I would give it like a 8,7/10, I was enjoying the gameplay and story throughout the 20-30 hours. What doesn't make it a 10/10 is the sheer ridiculous amount of collectibles. I tell all my friends to not to go out of their way to collect everything (some exceptions like singing crickets).

I hope they fix things (FOR FREE) cause the overall package is good, it just feels just they had the chance to get back old COD4 players and failed sadly. A friend asked me if this game is good and I had a hard time saying yes. The gameplay is COD, it's nice, it works. But where it falls short is the multiplayer maps, they just seem bad and in some modes it really easy gets to a point where one team controls 2/3 points and holds it without a chance turn the tide. I think it is because the maps are linear and you spawn on either one side or the other. Having spawns that are not binary is crucial to provide flexibility. Also grinding your guns are not all that fun, I'm sad to say that BF4 (2013) did it better. And the footsteps seems bugged, I felt like I could hear people from much further away then I should.

To summarize the game play in NMS it's farm to jump closer to center, repeat. Of course it's fun to explore etc. but it gets very repetitive and not very engaging. You should play this game but I can't justify a 60$ price tag.
